Commenting on the current Gaza war between Israel and Gaza-ruling terror organization Hamas, a Palestinian sheikh explained that while the Israelis might seemingly be winning the war, according to Allah they are “destined for the Burning Fire” in Hell:

Sheikh Hamed Daraghmeh: “Thus says Allah, you [Israelis] have murdered, burned, slaughtered many, destroyed, caused [us] to flee in every direction, expelled, distanced the people from their homeland, but at the same time, ‘they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire [in Hell]’ [Quran 85:10]… The message that our Almighty Master of the Universe wants to convey to us- Apparently the victory is theirs... they have won, murdered, they are the victors. But in the true balance they are the losers because they are destined for the Burning Fire.

The host of the same PA TV program, a female preacher, later seconded this, expressing happiness that “the killed Jews are in Hell” while dead Palestinian “Martyrs” are “in Paradise”:

Promising that Jews/Israelis will burn in Hell is very meaningful for Palestinians, since in Islam, the Fire of Hell is Allah’s ultimate everlasting and dreaded punishment, which is threatened repeatedly in the Quran and Islamic traditions:

"And they will never leave of the Fire." (Quran 2:167)

"Surely, those who disbelieve and did wrong; God will not forgive them, nor will He guide them to any way except the way of Hell, to dwell therein forever." (Quran 4:168-169)

"They will long to leave the Fire, but never will they leave there from; and theirs will be a lasting torment." (Quran 5:37)

"Surely, God has cursed the disbelievers, and has prepared for them a flaming Fire wherein they will abide for ever." (Quran 33:64)

"And whosoever disobeys God and His Messenger, then surely, for him is the fire of Hell, he shall dwell therein forever." (Quran 72:23)

"Surely, the disbelievers will be in the torment of Hell to abide therein forever.  (The torment) will not be lightened for them, and they will be plunged into destruction with deep regrets, sorrows and in despair therein… And they will cry: ‘O Malik! Let your Lord make an end of us’ He will say: ‘Surely, you shall abide [in the Fire] forever.’" (Quran 43:74-78)

"Fire as we know it is one seventieth part of the Fire of Hell." (Saheeh Al-Bukhari)

Interestingly, following the great destruction that Hamas’ war caused in the Gaza Strip, a man living in Gaza – and possibly many Gazan civilians with him – wished the Hamas terrorists to go to Hell:

Palestinian man: “Regarding the resistance (i.e., Hamas) hiding among the people – why is it hiding among the people? Let it go hide in Hell.

Al-Jazeera TV reporter: “(The reporter abruptly ends the interview and moves away from the Palestinian man -Ed.) These are the testimonies from the civilians.”

Palestinian Media Watch exposed that PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’ advisor on religious affairs, Mahmoud Al-Habbash, also taught Palestinians that their enemies—Israelis/Jews—will go to “hell”:

PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’ Advisor on Religious Affairs and Islamic Relations Mahmoud Al-Habbash: “Islam does not want you to be submissive to others, it wants you to be powerful, ruling, strong, dignified, proud of yourself, defending your territory…
[A man] said: “O Messenger of Allah! What if someone fights me?” [Muhammad] said: “Fight him!” If he wants to fight you, to use weapons against you, defend yourself! Don’t be a coward! Don't be fearful! Don’t be submissive! …  [The man] said: “And what if he kills me?”… You [were killed] while defending your money, while defending your home, your homeland, your family, your rights. [Muhammad would say:] “You’ll go to Paradise”… “What is your opinion if I kill him?” … [Muhammad:] “He’ll go to hell because he is an oppressor, because he attacks.” You’ll go to Paradise because you are oppressed and because you are defending yourself. Defend yourself! This is what Islam wants of you! This is what Islam strives for you to be: Defending yourself, your homeland, your family, your people, your nation, your religion, your holy sites, your money… Everyone who fights you – you are required to fight him … You must respond to the aggression and be brave. This is what Islam wants of us.”

Hamas war on Israel October 2023 - At least 1,200 Israelis, including over 1,000 civilians, were murdered and over 4,800 wounded, in addition to approximately 244 who were abducted into the Gaza Strip (including 110 later released or liberated and at least 26 later killed), in a Hamas terror war that began when approximately 3,000 Hamas terrorists broke through Israel's security fence at the Gaza Strip border and launched a surprise attack, taking control of several Israeli towns and attacking a music festival on the Jewish holiday of Simchat Torah, which fell on the Sabbath, Oct. 7, 2023. During the massacre, the terrorists tortured, raped, shot, beheaded, and burned their victims alive, murdering entire families and leaving at least 21 children without parents. Hamas terrorists also fired at least 5,000 rockets at Israeli population centers. In response, Israel launched the Swords of Iron War to counter the Hamas terror threat. Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon joined Hamas' terror war starting from the following day, attacking Israel from the north. Occasional rocket launches and shootings continued from Lebanon throughout the war. A ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal began on Nov. 24, 2023, in which Israel agreed to release 150 terrorist prisoners, pause drone surveillance in the Gaza Strip, and allow movement between the northern and southern Gaza Strip, in return for 50 Israeli female and child hostages held by Hamas. The deal was subsequently extended with additional releases, until Hamas violated the agreement and resumed attacking on Dec. 1, 2023.

Mahmoud Al-Habbash also serves as Chairman of the Supreme Council for Shari'ah Justice. In August 2019 PA Chairman Abbas dismissed all his advisors by Presidential decree. It is unclear what their status is today.
