Official PA news agency justifies “resistance,” which includes terror, and the PA’s payment of salaries to terrorists

Headline: “WAFA monitors the incitement and racism in the Israeli media outlets”

“The Palestinian [official PA] news agency WAFA monitored the incitement and racism in the Israeli media outlets over the period between Sept. 16-22, 2018 (weeks starts from the day Israeli citizen Ari Fuld was murdered by Palestinian terrorist Khalil Jabarin –Ed.)…
In the same [Israeli] newspaper [Maariv], an additional inciting article was published against the PA that was written by journalist Yasser Okbi, in which it said: ‘Terrorist  [Khalil Jabarin] (i.e., murdered 1) will receive a sum of more than 6 million [Israeli] shekels from the PA from the time of committing the operation (i.e., terror attack) until he reaches the age of 75.’
It also said: ‘Until he reaches age 75, terrorist Khalil Jabarin from Yatta is expected to receive a salary estimated at more than 6 million shekels from the PA, according to what Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs Researcher Yossi Kuperwasser said yesterday [Sept. 16, 2018].
‘Kuperwasser, former Director-General of the [Israel] Ministry of Strategic Affairs and Head of the Research Division of the [Israeli] Military Intelligence Directorate, explained: “According to law, the PA has a salary scale that they give to Palestinian prisoners who have committed acts of terror. Since the young person was caught, he will go to prison and receive this salary. And because he is young, he is to receive millions. These payments, approximately 7% of the PA budget and more than 20% of the international aid that is provided to it, serve to encourage terror, and they appear openly in its [the PA’s] budget.”’
The [WAFA] analysis of the article: The media and some of the Israeli politicians are exploiting the issue of paying a salary to the Palestinian prisoners in order to incite against the PA and accuse it of supporting ‘terror,’ according to their claim and the words they choose. For some of the Israelis, the aid to the families of those who carry out the operations and the fact that they are being supplied with an income that helps them provide for themselves constitutes encouragement of terror and not aid by the PA to Palestinians who are resisting the occupation on a daily basis.”

Khalil Jabarin - 16-year-old Palestinian terrorist who stabbed and murdered 45-year-old Israeli American civilian Ari Fuld, a father of four, in a supermarket parking lot at Gush Etzion Junction, south of Jerusalem, on Sept. 16, 2018. Before succumbing to his wounds Fuld, together with another civilian at the scene, shot and wounded Jabarin, leading to his capture.
