PA PM: “Israel… is still attempting to falsify and fabricate history" through actions whose goal is to "strengthen its hold on the sites holy to Islam and Christianity” in Jerusalem
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, May 9, 2018
"[PA] Prime Minister Dr. Rami Hamdallah said: 'We have already emphasized and continue to emphasize that Jerusalem is a red line that we will not allow anyone to cross. This city is the cradle of the monotheistic religions, the focus of revelation and divine spirit, the place to which the gazes of all Muslims and Christians are drawn. Israel has and is still attempting to falsify and fabricate history through violations and actions whose goal is to steal the land from its legal owners, and to strengthen its hold on the sites holy to Islam and Christianity.'
Hamdallah added: ‘The fact that the international community continues its thundering silence in the face of what is happening in Palestine, and particularly in Jerusalem, feeds these Israeli aspirations and enlarges them, and will lead to the conflict becoming a religious conflict, whose outcome no one can predict.' PA Prime Minister claims "there is a monetary and political blockade" imposed by the US, and that the PA has not received aid from the US in two years
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Mar. 3, 2018
Official PA TV News, on the Palestinians being unwilling to trade their principles for financial support

Official PA TV newsreader: “[PA] Prime Minister [Rami Hamdallah] emphasized that the leadership is withstanding political and financial pressures that the US has been exerting on Palestine through a monetary blockade for approximately two years. He emphasized his opposition to trading the basic national principles in exchange for political money.”

PA Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah: “As much as we are facing a difficult situation, and as much as there is a monetary and political blockade. – By the way, the US blockade is not from this year. For two years they have not been paying us. We are making do and everything is fine. We always say that it is impossible to trade firm national positions in exchange for any political money. We do not want political money. Will we relinquish Jerusalem in exchange for political money? It is impossible to relinquish Jerusalem, or one grain or bit of our land.”
PA PM: Trump’s decision on Jerusalem is “empty talk,” the PA will refuse US aid that is conditional
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Dec. 7, 2017
PA Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah: "[US President Donald] Trump has now taken an unprecedented step… And what did this Trump do? It is all empty talk. Just a piece of paper. It does not add or subtract. Others before him have made decisions, and what happened? The uprising of July [2017] – people without weapons – civilians - forced the [removal of the] metal detectors (refers to security measures at the Temple Mount following a terror attack there; see note below –Ed.)...
And he, who will make a million decisions, yesterday [Dec. 6, 2017] boasted, signed, and showed people. We say to him that this decision is not worth the ink in his signature. And may he hear us, and stop the aid [to the PA], which he has already stopped anyway. Two years ago he stopped the aid (sic., Trump was not president two years ago), and we say that we do not want aid and do not want anything from him. This aid is conditional, we do not want it. And we will be satisfied with little."

The Balfour Declaration of Nov. 2, 1917 was a letter from British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour to Baron Rothschild stating that “His Majesty's government views with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people.” In 1922, the League of Nations adopted this and made the British Mandate “responsible for putting into effect the declaration,” which led to the UN vote in 1947 and the establishment of the State of Israel.
