“Let us all sound a sincere call for the Al-Aqsa Mosque
O Allah, Master of the Universe, we ask of You to guard Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque from evil. O Allah, protect Jerusalem, its [Arab] residents, and the Al-Aqsa Mosque from the plot of Your enemies, the enemies of the religion. O Allah, be with [the residents of Jerusalem], strengthen them, and give them victory over their enemies. O Allah, grant us the prayer of the conquerors, or Martyrdom-death (Shahada) at its threshold.
It is in Your hand, and You can bring it
O Allah, have mercy on the Martyrs (Shahids) of Palestine and on the Martyrs of the Islamic nation
O Allah, Amen

District Governor Ghannam visited the family of Martyr Abu Saleh today and noted that their son achieved the highest Martyrdom (i.e., word play, the Arabic word Shahada also means certificate as in matriculation certificate), and that the hearts of all the members of our people are turned towards their family and all of the families of the Martyrs... District Governor Ghannam gave [the family] a statuette of a bird and emphasized that our child Martyrs, Allah willing, are birds in Paradise. Parallel to this, last night the Martyr's mother dreamed of a bird that appeared on the horizon and told her about the results of her son, who was meant to be among those that excelled in the high school matriculation exams this year."

Maryam and her family do not have the disease, but she knows children who suffer from it, and she arrived for them to take part in the first Marathon of Life, in order to raise awareness of cancer and its dangers…
District Governor of Ramallah and El-Bireh Laila Ghannam emphasized the importance of these activities…

She said: ‘We all know that the largest cancer in the life of the Palestinian people is the Israeli occupation, its settlement enterprise, and their waste that indeed causes the occurrence of cancer.’
She added: ‘For our people, who deals firmly and resolutely with the cancer of the occupation and the settlements, there is enough willpower to defeat cancer and provide treatment for the sick.’”
