Director of PLO Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs: “Torch of Freedom” for Palestinian prisoners will be lit by family of 13-year-old child terrorist

“Director of [PLO] Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs [and PA Parliament Member] Issa Karake announced that this year, in honor of Palestinian Prisoner’s Day which will take place on April 17, the torch of freedom will be lit out of loyalty to the child prisoners sitting in the occupation’s prisons. He noted that preparations for the freedom torch lighting ceremony have begun in the town of Abu Dis in the Jerusalem governorate. Karake made these statements while visiting released prisoners and prisoners’ families…
Karake said that the family of the child prisoner Ahmad Manasrah, the family of Martyr (Shahid) Muhammad Abu Khdeir, and families of child prisoners will light the torch of 2016. He added that this message is intended to focus attention on the fact that the occupation is targeting children for arrest and murder.”
Pisgat Ze'ev stabbing attack - On Oct. 12, 2015, two Palestinian terrorists, Hassan Manasrah (15) and Ahmad Manasrah (13), stabbed Yossef Ben Shalom (21) in the Pisgat Ze'ev neighborhood of East Jerusalem, and then repeatedly stabbed Naor Ben Ezra (13) who was riding his bike. Hassan Manasrah was killed while fleeing the scene, and Ahmad Manasrah was shot by Israeli police and hospitalized. Both victims of the attack were seriously injured. The terrorists, who were cousins, came from the nearby Palestinian neighborhood of Beit Hanina.
Muhammad Abu Khdeir - Palestinian teen kidnapped and murdered by Israeli extremists in Jerusalem on July 2, 2014, in revenge for the kidnapping and murder of Israeli teens Eyal Yifrach, Gilad Shaar and Naftali Frenkel in the West Bank on June 12. Following Abu Khdeir’s murder, Palestinians took to the streets of East Jerusalem in violent and continuous protests. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other Israeli ministers immediately condemned the revenge killing in the strongest terms. Israeli police arrested six Israeli suspects on July 6th; under interrogation, three of the suspects confessed to murdering Khdeir.
