In the name of All Merciful Allah,
[Allah] the Supreme said: "And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision" [Sura 3:169, Sahih International]
Great truth of God

With the highest expressions of pride, the Fatah Movement's Shabiba [student movement] in Palestine announces the death of the Palestinian people's Martyr, the heroic self-sacrificing fighter (Fida'i) Martyr Abd Al-Hamid Abu Sorour who carried out the attack on bus no. 12 in occupied Jerusalem a week ago. We send warmest blessings to all the residents of Bethlehem, and to his relatives in particular, on their son's achievement of Martyrdom (Shahada), and the revolution continues until the liberation of Palestine and Jerusalem.

Headline: "#We_left_a_sign_for_them and #The_flying_bus_roof are flooding the social media"
“The hashtags #We_left_a_sign_for_them and #The_flying_bus_roof have stirred up emotions on social media since last night [April 18, 2016] with blessings on the Jerusalem operation (i.e., bus bombing attack, 21 injured).
Young Palestinians from all over Palestine have posted responses mocking the occupation and threatening the Israeli soldiers, after the first self-sacrifice (Fida'i) operation (i.e., suicide attack) carried out since the beginning of the popular uprising in the Palestinian territories.
The tweeters on social media used hashtags and pictures to express the joy flooding them after they heard the news of the operation.
[Independent Palestinian news agency] Donia Al-Watan has followed the responses of the Palestinian public through these hashtags in order to see the extent of the mockery of the occupation soldiers and the blessings of this operation.
It should be noted that the expression 'flying bus roof' was a famous expression of Hamas leadership member Martyr (Shahid) Abd Al-Aziz Al-Rantisi (i.e., co-founder of the terrorist organization Hamas) during the Jerusalem Intifada at the end of 2000 (i.e., PA terror campaign 2000-2005), and the [new] operation took place on the anniversary of his death as a Martyr."

PLO official reaffirms Palestinian commitment to "struggle in all its forms;" currently, Abbas has declared "peaceful popular resistance"
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Apr. 18, 2016
Official PA TV program To Palestine, hosting Secretary-General of the Palestinian Arab Front and PLO Executive Committee member Jamil Shehadeh
Jamil Shehadeh: “The message needs to be clear to the occupation: The Palestinian people is determined to continue the struggle in all its forms until the establishment of a state. This is the decision of the Palestinian people. At the moment, our young people have chosen popular uprising, peaceful popular resistance, as [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas has declared, and everyone is listening to him. (“peaceful popular resistance” refers to wave of Palestinian terror attacks, see below –Ed.) This does not mean that other options have been removed from the Palestinian people’s range of possibilities.”

Palestinian terror wave (2015-2016) – Several months of Palestinian violence and terror attacks against Israelis, ‎including stabbings, shootings, throwing rocks and molotov cocktails, and car rammings. The wave was at its height from October 2015 through March 2016, but one man was killed in September 2015 and sporadic attacks continued after March 2016, including a bus bombing in Jerusalem on April 19, 2016.

"An Announcement on behalf of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades (Fatah’s military wing) – Palestine
‘The Martyr Nidal Al-Amoudi Division’

The Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades blesses the self-sacrificing operation (i.e., bombing of a bus on April 18, 2016) in Jerusalem.
For our Jerusalem and our Al-Aqsa Mosque, the good news of victory keeps arriving today, in a display we have not seen in a long time – a bus bombing operation in the occupied city of Jerusalem, in which dozens of Zionists were injured.
The Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades’ Al-Amoudi Division... emphasizes that this operation is a natural response to the occupation’s ongoing crimes and clear evidence that the free men in the West Bank have answered the call of their Brigades, according to which the Martyrdom-seeking operations are the best option of response to the occupation’s crimes in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and Jerusalem. Likewise, the Brigades call on their fighters in the West Bank and Jerusalem to fight with every possible means, and call on all of their people to mobilize at all points of friction [with Israel] and in direct operations (i.e., attacks) which will place the settlers on the land of Palestine in [fire] range of the rifles of the Brigades, wherever they [the settlers] are."

Fatah spokesman: Jerusalem bus bombing was a “natural response” to Israeli policies, including "repeated invasions of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque"
Source: Donia Al-Watan (independent Palestinian news agency), Apr. 18, 2016
Headline: “In the first official response – Fatah: The operation was a natural response to the occupation’s crimes”
“Official Fatah spokesman in occupied Jerusalem Raafat Alayan emphasized that what happened today [April 18, 2016] on the Israeli bus in occupied Jerusalem was a natural response to the Israeli acts against the Palestinian people, including killing, arrests, blockades, and repeated invasions of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. Alayan added that we do not seek or want violence, but at the same time we seek and wish to live in dignity and security. However, the occupation government’s policy aims to drag the region into a cycle of violence, and we have warned the Israeli right-wing government time after time that this policy of escalation will not lead to security for the Israelis. Alayan concluded his words: If Israel is looking for a security solution – there are no such solutions with the Palestinian people, the only solution is for Israel to implement the decisions of the international institutions.”

Headline: “Every Martyr Has a Life – photo exhibit at Bil’in”

“Chairman of the [PA] Committee Against the Wall and Settlements Minister Walid Assaf inaugurated an exhibit of photos of Martyrs (Shahids) titled Every Martyr Has a Life in the village of Bil’in, west of Ramallah.

In honor of the seventh anniversary of the death as a Martyr of the popular resistance activist Bassem Abu Rahma, photos of all of the Martyrs who have died in the latest popular uprising (i.e., wave of Palestinian terror attacks) were displayed, accompanied by an explanation of their lives and the circumstances of their death as Martyrs.

Ramallah and El-Bireh District Governor Laila Ghannam, [PLO] Executive Committee member Abd Al-Rahim Malouh, Martyr Baha Alyan’s father, relatives of the Martyrs, dignitaries, and many residents of the village of Bil’in participated in the inauguration.

[PA] Committee Against the Wall and Settlements Minister Walid] Assaf said that this exhibit documents one of the chapters of Palestinian history, the chapter of the Martyrs of the latest popular uprising. He added: ‘Through this exhibit, we wanted to create documentation of our Martyrs, who were unjustly executed. (The “Martyrs” include terrorists who attacked Israelis and were killed during their attacks –Ed.) The occupation wants to break the Martyrs’ will power, but in this exhibit we commemorate the Martyrs’ human lives, because we are not just numbers; every Martyr has ambitions, a dream, and a goal, but the occupation has snatched this dream away in cold blood.’ Assaf noted that the photo exhibit Every Martyr Has a Life will be passed on to all of the districts, including the universities. He said that in addition to this, a book will be written about the lives of the Martyrs, in order to commemorate them and to pass the message of these Martyrs to all parts

Donia Al-Watan interviewer: “Last question, in regard to the relations with Israel, regarding the popular uprising (reference to wave of Palestinian terror attacks which lasted October 2015 + March 2016 -Ed.) where is it leading? Where are we heading?”
Fatah Central Committee member and Abbas’ advisor Sultan Abu Al-Einein:
“Where is the popular uprising? Is this popular uprising? Is this resistance? IS this popular resistance?”
Donia Al-Watan interviewer: “In what direction are we heading?”
Fatah Central Committee member and Abbas’ advisor Sultan Abu Al-Einein: “These are acts of resistance [by] individuals. I kiss the hands of these children’s (i.e., terrorists who carried out attacks against Israel) families. However, can we say that this is resistance and that we have resistance? This is not resistance, not the resistance that we want. We want resistance that would hurt the occupation and demand of it a [heavy] price. When the resistance hurts the occupation and makes it pay [dearly], and the occupation pays a heavy price for its presence on Palestinian land, this will be the resistance we seek. As long as the resistance does not hurt and cost the occupation, it is not resistance. When the resistance hurts the Israeli enemy, it will be able to call itself resistance and take pride in it.”

"Deputy Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee Jibril Rajoub called to provide a framework for the popular uprising against the occupation taking place in the field by establishing a national leadership for the intifada and adopting a struggle plan regarding what's taking place. While there is much talk from a few Palestinian officials about how the present year will be a year of limiting the relations with Israel, without clarifying further regarding the character of those relations, Rajoub explained that in practice the limitation of relations with Israel has already begun. Likewise, he explained that limiting the relations must be a prelude to a unilateral declaration of national independence, from a strategic perspective which will lead to a state of national mobility, and afterwards to the severing of relations with and civil disobedience [against Israel]."

“The police and intelligence services of the occupation (i.e., Israel) on Tuesday [April 5, 2016] uprooted and burned olive tree seedlings that bore the names of Jerusalem district Martyrs (Shahids), and which were planted in the town of Silwan (i.e., neighborhood of Jerusalem) to mark Land Day.
Majdi Al-Abassi of the Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Silwan clarified that on Tuesday occupation forces invaded the field in the Ras Al-Amud neighborhood in the town of Silwan (i.e., another Jerusalem neighborhood), and started to uproot olive tree seedlings and burn them. In addition, they seized the Martyrs’ pictures and erased the slogans that were written on the field’s fences.
It should be noted that the Jerusalem branch of the Fatah Movement planted 47 olive tree seedlings for 47 Martyrs [who were] residents of Jerusalem [and] who were killed in Jerusalem in recent months (reference to Palestinian terrorists killed while attacking Israelis during wave of attacks, September 2015-April 2016 –Ed.), and hung a sign on the wall with the names of 12 Martyrs whose bodies are being held by the occupation authorities to this day.”

PA news agency claims Israel purposely kills Palestinians, including children, to make Palestinians despair
Source: WAFA, official PA news agency, Apr. 5, 2016
Headline: “From Israa Al-Abed Al-Rahman – letters to my Martyr fiancé”
“Ever since the bullet snatched the life of young Abed Al-Rahman Al-Barghouti from the Aboud village north of Ramallah, on Dec. 4, 2015, his fiancé Israa Al-Barghouti from the nearby village of Deir Ghassaneh, is saying to herself: He did not die, he went on a trip and will come back… The occupation has been trying from its first day to kill the Palestinian from within. Therefore, it kills a child in order to leave a whole family filled with eternal yearning for him, it kills a young man who had dreamt of a job, a wife, and a peaceful home, and kills the head of a family, and by its crime makes him leave a widow and children… its bullets snatch a woman, whose daughter, a child, becomes a surrogate mother in a single moment. It throws children behind its bars who haven’t seen anything of life, and who, within their (i.e., the Israeli) prisons, become young and mature men whose children have grown, married and had children, turning the prisoner into a grandfather. In prison, there are endless stories about a mother’s anticipation of her child, a woman’s of her husband and the fiancé who keeps postponing her wedding day… the occupation continues to fight against the dreams of the Palestinian, who continues responding, gets up in the morning, and says to himself: Live!”

“The sounds of joy rise up here, passing through every street, drawing the meaning of freedom with their hands, and waving their wings. This is not enough for them, they float in the skies of Qabatiya and commemorate the history of the uprising and the struggle, and the history of the victory, and there are no words to describe how proud we are.
Qabatiya – is there anyone who does not love you? Honor and love to you. You are too great to be just letters on paper. You are the mother of the heroes, the heroes who outlined hope with their eyelashes and did not rest for a moment, and you blessed their hands.
Qabatiya, life and flowers to you, O mother of the rebels, just as you said, O my father:
I painted the palm of my hand with its henna
I painted my eyelashes blue from its olives
And thus I will die on the outskirts of its glory
So I will turn into a story in it and it will turn into [a part of] me

We are the people of victory
Long live Qabatiya and its residents
Qabatiya will win through its residents"
