Fatah official: "On its 53rd anniversary the Fatah Movement says that it is not putting aside its options of struggle"
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Dec. 31, 2017
Official PA TV, special broadcast following US President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, hosting Fatah Central Committee member and Fatah Commissioner of NGOs Dalal Salameh

Fatah Central Committee member and Fatah Commissioner of NGOs Dalal Salameh:
“Certainly, there would not have been and will not be any political achievement if there is no impetus, and what is impetus basically? The Palestinian revolution, the armed struggle, your rifle, your struggle, your movement from capital to capital when you are far from your country and homeland, your people that is under the occupation in its struggle, its sacrifice, [and] in the rocks of the first Intifada (i.e., Palestinian wave of violence and terror against Israel, 1987-1993)-”
PA TV Host: “Today the legitimate non-violent struggle.”
Dalal Salameh: “In other words, all of these constant things in the different forms of struggle, certainly they are what will lead to political content in one way or another, and to the Palestinian revolution, as it has a goal. In other words, it is an idea, it strives to get rid of the occupation and establish an independent sovereign state, and for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, the achievement of these legitimate rights for the Palestinian people; it has a path – a path of struggle for our people, and on its 53rd anniversary the Fatah Movement says that it is not putting aside its options of struggle. It continues with its options of struggle... We will continue our popular resistance, our public movement, we are continuing in this direction; and the occupation, yes, it is not free, [the occupation state] must pay the price for the continuation of its occupation, and our popular struggle continues and escalates.”

Fatah official: "We will not submit to the occupation's policies, whether they will include stopping the salaries of the prisoners and the Martyrs' families"
Source: Falestinona, website of Fatah's Information and Culture Commission in Lebanon, June 29, 2017
"In order to discuss the most prominent political events and analyze the current Palestinian arena, the Al-Quds monthly held the following interview with Fatah Movement Central Committee member [and Fatah Commissioner of NGOs] Dalal Salameh:

[Q:] 'What do you think about Israel's attempt to legislate a law that allows the deduction of the salaries (rawatib) of the prisoners and the Martyrs' (Shahids') families from the tax revenues that it collects [for the PA]?'
[Fatah Movement Central Committee member and Fatah Commissioner of NGOs Dalal Salameh:] 'It is one of the steps of escalation that the occupation is carrying out against the members of our people regarding taxes due to our adherence to our rights and our strong commitment to the fundamental Palestinian principles... a people that has sacrificed prisoners and Martyrs for the homeland will not agree to erase the history of its struggle and will not submit to pressures. Our way has not been strewn with roses along the path of our achievements, and [punishment] is the way of the occupation, as it always distorts our struggle, our history, and our right to our land. However, our struggle is included in the framework of international law and we will not submit to the occupation's policies, whether they will include stopping the salaries of the prisoners and the Martyrs' families, or a different type of escalation.'"

Q.: "What is the message that you are conveying to the Fatah Movement members in the homeland and the diaspora?"
Fatah Central Committee member Dalal Salameh: "On this [anniversary of] the Launch (Intilaqa) we are emphasizing that the accumulation of our political activity is a positive matter, as the world is drawing very close to us in its support of our just rights and legal demands, and we have drawn close to it by adopting the strategy of popular resistance ‎(term here refers to events that include violence against Israeli civilians such as rock-‎throwing, stabbings, and even shootings -Ed.)‎ and drawn close to its conception of the struggle, and it understands that our struggle is legitimate in every form (i.e., including violence)."

Intilaqa - "the Launch" refers to the beginning of Fatah on Jan. 1, 1965, when it carried out its first terror attack against Israel, attempting to blow up Israel's National Water Carrier

The terms "all means," "peaceful uprising,” and “popular uprising/resistance " are ‎often used by PA leaders to refer to events that include violence and deadly terror ‎against Israeli civilians such as rock-throwing, stabbings and even shootings. See ‎Mahmoud Abbas' reference to murderous terror as "peaceful" during the 2015-2016 ‎terror wave (“The Knife Intifada”), which included numerous stabbings, shootings and car ramming attacks in which 40 people were killed (36 Israelis, 1 Palestinian, 2 Americans and 1 Eritrean) and hundreds wounded.
