Source: Facebook page of Abbas Zaki, Fatah Central Committee member and Fatah Commissioner for Arab and China Relations, Apr. 19, 2019
Posted text: “A Fatah delegation led by Abbas Zaki visited the Fatah branch in Damascus, in the Syrian Arab Republic. He also briefed them about the American administration’s attempts to execute the deal of the century (refers to US President Donald Trump’s as yet unpublished Middle East peace plan –Ed.), eliminate the Palestinian cause, and support the presence of the Zionist entity that is desecrating the sites that are holy to Islam and Christianity every day... The delegation emphasized that Syria’s victory is Palestine’s victory, and that today Syria is recovering from the alleged Zionist-American ‘[Arab] Spring.’”

Fatah official: Cable car in Jerusalem is part of “Judaization” plot to change the city’s nature “through excavations, the theft of history and antiquities”… and creating “facilities for the alleged Temple”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 30, 2019
“The so-called Israeli ‘Infrastructure Committee’ ratified the plan for the cable car in the occupied Old City of Jerusalem that will connect the Mount of Olives to the Al-Buraq [Wall] (i.e., the Western Wall of the Temple Mount) plaza (sic., the cable car project is to go up to the Dung Gate of Jerusalem’s Old City... whose goal is to connect East Jerusalem to West [Jerusalem]… The [PA] Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places said that the ratification constitutes clear insistence on Judaizing Jerusalem and its landmarks, and making it foreign to its sacred Arab-Islamic-Christian reality.  Secretary-General of the [Islamic-Christian] Council [for Jerusalem and the Holy Places and Fatah Revolutionary Council member] Hanna Issa noted that this plan is most dangerous, as it has a role in the Judaization of the holy city [Jerusalem], as it completes the Judaization plots that are being carried out on the ground through excavations, the theft of history and antiquities, the construction of settlements, the construction of synagogues, and the establishment of Talmudic (i.e., Jewish) parks. Issa added: ‘The cable car that they intend to establish will lead to the destruction of the holy city’s image, and will make Judaizing changes to it that will overshadow its Arabness.’ He emphasized that these new [Jewish] landmarks and parks are nothing but facilities for the alleged Temple.”

PA Minister of Religious Affairs calls on Palestinians to carry out Ribat at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to prevent Israel’s “harming” of holy sites

Headline: “National calls for Ribat at the Al-Aqsa Mosque and its gates”
“[PA] Minister of Religious Affairs Sheikh Yusuf Ida’is called on the members of our people to go out on a pilgrimage to the [Al-Aqsa] Mosque and to carry out Ribat (i.e., religious conflict/war over land claimed to be Islamic) there. He also called on the institutions of the international community that support the protection of heritage and culture to act seriously in order to stop the occupation’s harming (- of the holy sites –Ed.), and not to let the [harm] develop until it becomes an established fact.”
Fatah and PA officials: Cave of the Patriarchs “is a purely Islamic mosque where the Jews have no right”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Aug. 9, 2018
“The occupation authorities yesterday [Aug. 8, 2018] announced their intention to close the Ibrahimi Mosque (i.e., Cave of the Patriarchs) for 24 hours due to the Jewish holidays (the site is closed to Muslims 10 days of the year for Jewish holidays, and closed to Jews 10 days of the year for Muslim holidays –Ed.)… Fatah Movement Revolutionary Council member and [Fatah] Movement Spokesman Osama Al-Qawasmi called on the members of our people everywhere they are, and particularly in the Hebron district, to go to the Ibrahimi Mosque and pray at its thresholds in order to emphasize our opposition to its closing, and that it is a purely Islamic mosque where the Jews have no right, and all of the steps that have been taken since 1994 are invalid and must be cancelled… The [PA] Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places said that the fact that the Israeli occupation authorities closed the Ibrahimi Mosque and prevented the Muslims from entering under the pretext of the Jewish holidays constitutes a severe crime against the holy sites and places of worship, and particularly this mosque that constitutes a purely Islamic site… Council Secretary-General [and Fatah Revolutionary Council member] Hanna Issa… emphasized that the Ibrahimi Mosque is a purely Islamic mosque where the Jews have no right, and that the steps that have been taken since 1994 and the forced division according to times are invalid and must be cancelled.”

Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Mar. 1, 2018
“At a press conference held by the [PA] Ministry of Information in Ramallah yesterday [Feb. 28, 2018] under the title The Consequences of Israel Imposing Taxes on the Churches in Jerusalem, Muslim and Christian clergymen emphasized that the [failure of] the decision to obligate the churches of occupied Jerusalem to pay taxes (the proposed tax would not apply to churches but rather only to properties belonging to churches –Ed.) is due to the will power of our people in Jerusalem and the united stand of its Muslims and Christians…
[Secretary-General of the PA Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places and Fatah Revolutionary Council member] Dr. [Hanna] Issa said: ‘Israel is attempting to weaken the Palestinian presence of Muslims and Christians in Jerusalem through this. It has been waging a war against the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem since 1969, as Jewish extremists (sic., he was a mentally ill Christian Australian) set the Al-Aqsa Mosque on fire in 1969, and this was also preceded by the burning of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre on June 7, 1967 (PMW could find no record of such an event –Ed.).’”

“The [PA] Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places today, Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2017 – which is the 48th anniversary of the arson of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque – said that the crimes, daily invasions, and Judaization actions that the occupation authorities are carrying out by establishing outposts, excavating tunnels, and preventing worshippers [from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque] are a continuation of the great crime of the arson of the blessed mosque…
Secretary-General of the [PA Islamic-Christian] Council [for Jerusalem and the Holy Places and Fatah Revolutionary Council member] Dr. Hanna Issa said: ‘The arson of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque was the start of a comprehensive and dangerous plan to Judaize the mosque and completely take control of it.'... He added: ‘The crime against the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the rest of the sites that are holy to Islam and Christianity in occupied Jerusalem is being continued by changing their names and details. This is as the occupation authorities and extremists still work with all of their energy to implement the goal that they have striven for – destroying the Al-Aqsa Mosque and building the alleged Temple on its ruins.’”

PA religious official: Israel is carrying out “daily invasions” of the Al-Aqsa Mosque plazas
Source: Ma’an, independent Palestinian news agency, May 18, 2017
Headline: “Issa briefed [PLO] Executive Committee member Ismail regarding the situation in Jerusalem”
“Secretary-General of the [PA] Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places [and Fatah Revolutionary Council member] Dr. Hanna Issa today, Thursday [May 18, 2017], briefed PLO Executive Committee member Mahmoud Ismail regarding the situation in occupied Jerusalem… Issa related to the ongoing daily invasions of the Al-Aqsa Mosque plazas and its places of prayer by the unbridled extremists and the occupation forces, in addition to the building of settlements and outposts, the excavation of tunnels, and the desecration of the holy sites.”

The PA and its leaders consider all of the Temple Mount an integral part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Therefore they view any presence of Jews on the mount as an "invasion." It should be noted that Jews who visit the Temple Mount only enter some sections of the open areas, and do not enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque or the Dome of the Rock.

“Fatah Revolutionary Council member and Secretary-General of the [PA] Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places Hanna Issa said that the goal of the destruction and excavation activities that the occupation state authorities are conducting in the Old City [of Jerusalem] and the Al-Aqsa Mosque is to change the Islamic-Christian Arab character of the holy city and to create a Jewish character for it.
Issa said in an interview with Radio Mawtini today, Monday [Feb. 27, 2017]: ‘The excavation and destruction activities of the occupation authorities in the holy city and around and under the Al-Aqsa Mosque are part of a calculated plan that is meant to shake the foundations of the mosque, and to change the Islamic-Christian Arab character of the holy city and to create a Jewish character for it.’ He emphasized that the occupation government will fail to achieve its goals even though it is fighting against time to realize this goal.
Issa warned against the occupation government’s attempts to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque through its ongoing excavations in order to build its alleged Temple. He emphasized that it will not succeed in achieving what it wants, despite all of its attempts to impose its rule on the holy city.”

Fatah official warns against "igniting the region" and instigating "a new religous war" by moving the US embassy to Jerusalem
Source: WAFA, official PA news agency, Jan. 8, 2017
Headline: "Issa: Transferring the American embassy to Jerusalem will ignite a religious war in the region"
"Expert on international law, Fatah Revolutionary Council member [and Secretary-General of the PA Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places] Dr. Hanna Issa warned against igniting the region if the American embassy is transferred to occupied Jerusalem, and warned of a religious war. Issa said in an interview with Radio Mawtini today, Sunday [Jan. 8, 2017]: 'I cannot predict what the response will be to the transfer of the American embassy to Jerusalem,' and noted that if the US transfers its embassy, it will explicitly violate international law. Likewise, he warned of a new religious war, and emphasized that transferring the American embassy to occupied Jerusalem is in contradiction of the international resolutions. Issa emphasized that Jerusalem is under the administration of the occupation regime, and it is forbidden to apply sovereignty to occupied land. He noted that transferring the American embassy to Jerusalem contradicts US foreign policy, which it has expressed since 1974, according to which Jerusalem is one of the holy sites on a global level and East Jerusalem is an occupied area that is subject to the law of belligerent occupation, and it is forbidden to the occupation state to change its characteristics."

PA official: "Palestine is the cradle of the three monotheistic religions – Islam, Christianity, and Judaism... Religious tolerance is a human requirement"
Source: Amad, independent Palestinian news website, Dec. 4, 2016
Headline: “The Palestinian people believes in religious and political co-existence and upholds it in theory and in practice”
“Secretary-General of the [PA] Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places Dr. Hanna Issa said: ‘… We, as a Palestinian people, believe in religious and political coexistence and uphold it in theory and in practice. Our ancient and modern history constitutes proof of this in light of our unique situation that the land of Palestine is the cradle of the three monotheistic religions – Islam, Christianity, and Judaism, and the fact that our Palestinian people, Muslims and Christians alike, constitutes an inseparable part of the Arab nation, and its land is part of the greater Arab homeland.’
He emphasized: ‘Religious tolerance is a human requirement, which all of the religions, without exception, call for… and the Jewish religion [also] calls for tolerance, as is written in the Bible (sic., Talmud): ‘What is hateful to you, do not do to your neighbor.’”
Secretary-General of PA Islamic-Christian Council: Israel plans to turn Jerusalem into a "ghetto" through ethnic "cleansing"
Source: Ma’an, independent Palestinian news agency, Nov. 30, 2016
Headline: “Dr. Issa: Israel is turning Jerusalem into a ghetto with a Jewish majority”
Secretary-General of the [PA] Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places Dr. Hanna Issa emphasized that the Israeli violations of all types in occupied Jerusalem reveal that the occupation government does not want to reach a real and just peace with the Palestinians, but rather aspires to realize its ambitions: Judaization, expanding the settlements, and turning the holy city [of Jerusalem] into a ghetto with an Arab ethnic minority and a Jewish majority. This is by means of its policy of expulsion and [ethnic] cleansing against the [Arab] residents of Jerusalem, so that in the long term the city will become the Jewish capital of what is termed the State of ‘Israel.’
He noted that ‘ghetto’ is defined as an area in which – willingly or by compulsion – groups of residents live, who are viewed by most people as [having] a certain ethnic background or [as belonging] to a certain culture or religion. He added that the word originally refers to the neighborhood of the Jews in a city, such as the ghetto in the center of the city of Rome, while in Arab countries the ghetto was called ‘the Jewish quarter.’
Dr. Issa added: ‘“Ghettoes” or “Jewish quarters” were first established in Poland after June 1941 (sic., the first ghetto was established in Venice in 1516 , the first ghetto in Nazi-occupied Poland was established in 1939 ), in the occupied territories of the Soviet Union, so as to isolate the Jewish residents. Most of the ghettoes were established in the poorest neighborhoods or in densely populated Jewish neighborhoods, and many of them were surrounded by walls or fences, or else other means were used to cut the connection with the outside world.’”
PA Council for Jerusalem head warns of “Judaization” in Jerusalem, impending collapse of Al-Aqsa Mosque
Source: Ma’an, independent Palestinian news agency, Oct. 10, 2016
Headline: “Dr. Issa warns of the Judaization policy against Jerusalem”
“Secretary-General of the [PA] Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places Dr. Hanna Issa warned today (Monday) [Oct. 10, 2016] against the policy of Judaization being carried out by the Israeli occupation authorities against the holy city [of Jerusalem], and particularly against what is happening at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque…
This was said during a lecture given by Secretary-General Issa about Jerusalem and the Israeli violations in it at the Al-Fajr Al-Jadid Girls’ Model School in the village of Akav in northern occupied Jerusalem…
The secretary-general clarified that the situation of the city is most grave, and that the real dangers surrounding the sites holy to Islam and Christianity are changing the reality in the city…
He said that one of the attacks that the Israeli occupation authorities are perpetrating against the holy sites is the excavation of a network of tunnels under the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, such that its foundations are liable to collapse at any moment.”

Note: The Israeli daily Haaretz has stated that the excavations do not reach beneath the mosque: "The diggers are painstaking to respect the dignity of the Temple Mount. Despite complaints from the Islamic Movement and Palestinian groups, not a single dig penetrates beneath the mount." [Haaretz, May 24, 2016]
PA Islamic-Christian Council denounces terror as a severe problem rooted in sin
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Sept. 29, 2016
Headline: “The Islamic-Christian Council: Terror is a global ideology that has no religion”
“The [PA] Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places said that terror is one of the most severe problems of the current century, alongside the wars and starvation in the world.
The council emphasized the opposition of the three monotheistic religions to terror in all its types, colors, and forms, because it is directed against innocent men, women, and children, and is based on sin, aggression, and intimidation of calm people…
These statements were made as part of a workshop under the headline 'The Monotheistic Religions and the Denunciation of Terror,' which the council organized yesterday [Sept. 28, 2016] in the [PLO] Popular National Conference of Jerusalem building in El-Bireh, with the participation of Head of the Islamic-Christian Council Patriarch Michel Sabbah, its (i.e., the council’s) Secretary-General Dr. Hanna Issa, Director-General of the Directorate of Religion (i.e., branch of the PA Ministry of Religious Affairs) in the Ramallah and El-Bireh District Sheikh Wafiq Alawi, and Secretary of the Samaritan Community Ishaq Al-Samiri.”

Headline: “The Islamic-Christian Council: The distancing of guards and employees of the Al-Aqsa Mosque [from the mosque] is a racist policy whose goal is to empty it”
“The [PA’s] Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places said yesterday [July 31, 2016] that the barbaric attack by the occupation authorities on the [Jordanian Waqf ] guards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Waqf employees who are there constitutes a clear blow to the Waqf and its employees, and an attempt to disrupt them in their work at the mosque in order to implement additional Judaization plans… Secretary-General of the Council Hanna Issa addressed the Israeli extremism, which is expressed in determining facts on the ground by Judaizing the Al-Aqsa Mosque and turning it into a synagogue, ahead of the establishment of the alleged Temple on its ruins. He noted that the Judaization plan and steps at the Jerusalem Noble Sanctuary (i.e., the Temple Mount) are gaining momentum, as if the Israeli occupation state – with the help of its settlers and extremists – is in a race against time to realize the Jewish dream: the establishment of the Temple as soon as possible.”

PA asks Arab League to help sue Britain for issuing Balfour Declaration, Britain should apologize for the Balfour Declaration like Germany did for the Holocaust
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, July 25, 2016

Official PA TV newsreader: "In a speech given in the name of President Mahmoud Abbas, [PA] Minister of Foreign Affairs Riyad Al-Malki... asked the General Secretariat of the Arab League to help the [PA] leadership prepare a legal case..."
PA Minister of Foreign Affairs Riyad Al-Malki in speech at the Arab League Summit representing PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas: "We ask the General Secretariat of the Arab League to assist us in preparing a legal case in order to file a lawsuit against the British government for its issuing the Balfour Promise (i.e., Declaration) and for its (i.e., the Declaration’s) implementation afterwards, as a mandatory authority, which caused the Nakba of the Palestinian people and its expulsion..."
Expert on International Law and Secretary General of the PA Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places Hanna Issa: "It is the right of the Palestinian Arab people to sue Britain... If they refuse to accept it [the lawsuit] in the International Criminal Court, we can turn to the UN [General] Assembly... and [demand] the establishment of an international criminal court with the jurisdiction to place sanctions on Britain… I present as an example the Nazis’ Jewish Holocaust against the Jews in World War II. Germany even apologized and until now it has expressed political, economic, social, and cultural apologies. It even has funded the Israeli entity with billions of dollars until now, and therefore it is similar to the holocaust carried out against the Palestinian Arab people."

In a notice, the council described the new plan for the synagogue as ‘a real threat that is added to all the horrors and dangers surrounding the Al-Aqsa Mosque, its Islamic history, and its Arab culture’… Secretary General of the council Hanna Issa said that [the building of] a synagogue and the hundreds of Judaization plans, which target the Al-Aqsa Mosque and everything Arab in occupied Jerusalem, are ‘Israeli methods, by which the occupation state strives to Judaize the blessed [Al-Aqsa] Mosque, by coordinated efforts for excavating tunnels underneath it, taking over its Islamic landmarks… and turning them into synagogues and Judaization centers, and opening the gates of the [Al-Aqsa] Mosque to extremists and settlers in order to desecrate it, and eventually completely take it over, in preparation for turning it into a synagogue and establishing the alleged Temple on its ruins.’ It should be noted that the synagogue will be stablished in place of a waqf, which has ancient Islamic archeological remnants, at the site of the waqf the Hammam Al-Ayn, under the ground and very close to the western part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.”

The Hammam Al-Ayn Cultural Center is a site with public baths dating from the 1300s and which were in use as such until the early 1970s. In 1998 it was renovated by Al-Quds University and it now serves as a cultural center. The site is considered a waqf by Palestinians/Muslims - an inalienable religious endowment in Islamic law.
Sec-Gen of Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem: Israel has plan to build mega-capital in Jerusalem, destroying mosques and churches, and moving Israeli capital from “Tel Aviv to Jerusalem”
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Sept. 4, 2015
Official PA TV Good Morning Jerusalem, interview with Secretary-General of the PA’s Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places Hanna Issa about limiting the entry of Muslims to the Temple Mount

Secretary-General of the PA’s Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places Hanna Issa: “Israel has a plan for an entire city modeled after London, with clearly drawn maps, in which there are 1,000 square kilometers of the lands of Bethlehem and Ramallah, which it plans to take over, and thus it will build a capital, modeled after London, with 3.5 million residents, including the destruction of the mosques and churches leading to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, based on it being the heart of Jerusalem, the capital of the State of Israel according to them, and moving the capital from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. This is Israel’s final plan.”
PA official: Israel behind 1969 Al-Aqsa Mosque arson

Headline: “The Islamic-Christian Council: 46 years since the Al-Aqsa Mosque arson, and the crime continues”
“The [PA] Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places emphasized today [Aug. 19, 2015], on the 46th anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Mosque arson, that the systematic crime continues against the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the rest of the sites that are holy to Islam and Christianity in occupied Jerusalem…
Secretary-General of the [Islamic-Christian] Council Hanna Issa said that the Al-Aqsa Mosque arson on August 21, 1969 is part of a large Judaization plan directed against Jerusalem as a whole, with no consideration for the sanctity of the sites that are holy to Islam and Christianity that are within it.”

The Al-Aqsa Mosque was set on fire in 1969 by Michael Rohan – a deranged Australian Christian. For years, the Palestinian Authority has falsely accused Israel of setting the fire.
PA official: Israel attempts to "empty Jerusalem of its original residents" and is "excavating tunnels under the Al-Aqsa Mosque"
Source: Ma’an, independent Palestinian news agency, Aug. 13, 2015
Headline: “Issa: Israel is in a race against time to empty Jerusalem of its original residents”
“Secretary-General of [the PA’s] Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places [Hanna Issa]… emphasized that ‘Israel’ is carrying out ongoing attempts to erase the historic Islamic Arab identity from occupied Jerusalem, and to impose on it an invented and new Jewish character. Likewise, he noted that this is the goal of the Zionist project – to turn Jerusalem into the capital of their Jewish state, and to build the Temple on the ruins of the Al-Aqsa Mosque…
The Secretary-General of the Jerusalem Council for the Defense of the Holy Places [Hanna Issa] said that the occupation authorities are excavating tunnels under the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which threatens the mosque as there is a chance it will collapse if there is an earthquake or if they concoct explosions under it.”

Headline: “Issa: Israel is dragging the region into a cycle of violence”
“Secretary-General of [the PA’s] Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places Dr. Hanna Issa stated that… ‘Israeli Army Minister (sic., Defense Minister) Moshe Ya'alon’s invasion of the Ibrahimi Mosque (i.e., Cave of the Patriarchs) yesterday [Aug. 11, 2015], and his declaration of the mosque as a closed military area in time for what is called the ’new month,’ in other words the end of the lunar month (i.e., the Jewish new month festival of Rosh Chodesh), which they are marking with road closings and by breaking out in parades in which they wave Israeli flags, are nothing but a certificate granting legitimization for settlers to invade the houses of worship, under security provided by the occupation government. This is also true regarding the Al-Aqsa Mosque, as Israel is very close to turning the Ibrahimi Mosque into a Jewish synagogue, and simultaneously it is making efforts to build the alleged Temple on the ruins of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.’”

The PA and its leaders consider the Cave of the Patriarchs to be an exclusively Islamic holy site. Therefore they view any presence of Jews there as an "invasion."
PA Jerusalem council: Israel “plant[s] forged antiquities” for its “plans to Judaize Jerusalem”
Source: Ma’an, independent Palestinian news agency, July 30, 2015
Headline: “Dr. Issa emphasized that Israel is planting antiquities in Jerusalem”
“Secretary-General of the PA’s Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places Dr. Hanna Issa stressed today [July 30, 2015] that the Israeli Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, under cover-up by the occupation government, has been making efforts since 1967 to plant forged antiquities in Jerusalem and distort a whole culture by its continuous excavations and searches under the city, which are taking place far from the eyes of the world…
Dr. Issa stated: ‘Israel and the institutions authorized by it, are carrying out searches, mainly in Jerusalem, in a desperate attempt to obtain Jewish antiquities which will give the occupation the “legitimacy” it still lacks. But truth be told, it has no presence [in Jerusalem]. At times, we see them attempting to obtain a type of religious legitimacy, in order to cover up their feverish activities and their plans to Judaize Jerusalem, even if by means of forgery or creating facts on the ground.’”
PA official: Israel has plans to "destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque and build the alleged Temple on its ruins"
Source: Wattan TV (Palestinian private channel), July 21, 2015
Headline: “Hanna Issa calls for Ribat at the Al-Aqsa [Mosque] on the ‘anniversary of the destruction of the Temple’”
“Secretary-General of the [Palestinian Authority’s] Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places, Dr. Hanna Issa, stated that Ribat (i.e., religious conflict/war over land claimed to be Islamic) at the Al-Aqsa Mosque and presence in it, are not limited to the month of Ramadan alone, and called on Palestinians to carry out Ribat in the coming days in order to thwart the settlers’ plots to invade [the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound]… Issa noted the words of the extremist Yehuda Glick regarding his plans and efforts regarding the Al-Aqsa Mosque: ‘The Jerusalem Noble Sanctuary (i.e., the Temple Mount) is a place of worship for all the religions, where all pray to God. Because the Dome of the Rock cannot hold all of them, we need a larger building,” [and Issa said] this is a clear, allusion to the plans striving to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque and build the alleged Temple on its ruins.”

Note: The PA considers any presence of Jews on the Temple Mount an "invasion." However, all visitors are subject to rigorous checks by Israeli security personnel before being granted access to the Temple Mount.

PMW has been unable to verify the statements attributed to Rabbi Yehuda Glick.
PA daily: Islamic-Christian Council claims "Israel is tightening the strangulation of the Jerusalem residents"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, May 21, 2015
Headline: “The Islamic-Christian Council: Israel is tightening the strangulation of the Jerusalem residents through two police headquarters”
“The [PA] Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places stated that the fact that the Israeli occupation authorities opened two new occupation police stations, next to the Al-Buraq Wall (i.e., the Western Wall of the Temple Mount) and on Mount Zion (the prophet David) [parentheses in source], reflects their clear insistence on Judaizing every part of occupied Jerusalem.
Secretary-General of the Council Dr. Hanna Issa noted that… ‘”Israel” intentionally harms the area of the holy [Al-Aqsa Mosque] plaza and the Al-Buraq plaza by continuing its Judaization plans and projects. This reflects the extent of the extremism of the occupation state, as these areas are holy religious sites which it is forbidden to harm.’ Likewise, Issa called on the international community and institutions involved in the issue to fulfill their responsibility and defend the center of the religions from destruction and Judaization.”

“The [PA's] Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places has warned against widespread excavations being carried out by groups of extremist settlers in the Building of Rest (Al-Istiraha) south of the Cave of the Patriarchs in the city of Hebron… Secretary General of the Council Dr. Hanna Issa said that the excavations in the Cave of the Patriarchs and the simultaneous extremist calls to invade the Al-Aqsa [Mosque] constitute Israeli insistence, at all levels, on desecrating the sanctity of the holy places. Likewise, he noted that mostly, the excavations are accompanied by theft and the forgery of antiquities, especially in light of the fact that the ancient city of Hebron is an archeological site rich in antiquities.”

Israel “attempts to eradicate Arab and Islamic identity” in Jerusalem
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 27, 2015
“Secretary-General of the Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places Hanna Issa said that Israel had allocated 17 billion dollars for the Judaization of the Holy City [Jerusalem], and noted that the occupation had succeeded in building an entire city beneath the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which includes seven tunnels and halls that can hold 5,000 people. In addition, he stressed that the occupation does as it pleases in the Holy City, without any consideration for the Arab and Islamic world. Issa spoke during a political conference organized by the [PA] Ministry of Information under the title, ‘Jerusalem and the Judaization Policy,’ held in the presence of and with the patronage of Tulkarem District Governor Issam Abu Bakr, Minister of Religious Affairs Sheikh Yusuf Ida'is, Secretary-General of the Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places Dr. Hanna Issa and Deputy Minister of Communications Mahmoud Khalifa… [Minister] Ida'is addressed the suffering of Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the attempts to eradicate their Arab and Islamic identity and the Judaization policy that began in 1967 with the aim of rebuilding the so-called ‘alleged Temple.’”

He also emphasized that the plan to divide up the mosque between Muslims and Jews constituted the first step toward taking full control of it and realizing the Jewish dream to erect the alleged Temple.”

Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem: Jesus was “the first Palestinian Martyr”‎

‎"Yesterday's [Dec. 2, 2014] Ministry of Tourism and Archeology [newspaper column] ‎centered on the products being sold in the oriental antiques stores, and criticized the ‎Ministry's faulty supervision of these stores, which sell symbols that have nothing to do ‎with the Palestinian heritage, such as the Israeli Star of David and menorah (i.e., ‎candelabrum used in Jewish worship), especially in Bethlehem and Jericho... ‎Secretary-General of the Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places ‎Hanna Issa explained... the difference between the six-pointed Star of David and the ‎Christian star, which is five-pointed. This star appeared to the Shepherds in Beit ‎Sahur, [symbolizing] the birth of our lord Jesus, who was Palestinian in origin, and ‎who was the first Palestinian Martyr (Shahid)." ‎

Islamic-Christian council says UN partition plan gave land to Jews “who had no right to it”

Official PA TV program Palestine This Morning:
Secretary-General of the Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places Hanna Issa: “The decision to partition Palestine, which disowned the greater part of Palestine and gave it to the Jews – to people who had no right to it whatsoever… and yet, this was the UN’s decision. The UN should rethink [its decision] and give Palestine its rights, like the rest of the world.”

Official PA TV report on the opening of the “Second Conference of the National Council for Jerusalem – Eternal Capital of Arab Culture”
Official PA TV reporter: “The conference, which was attended by numerous politicians and clerics, as well as by a group of intellectuals, writers and poets from Jerusalem, issued a warning [regarding] the future of the Holy City, in view of the increase in the attacks of the settler herds on the holy places and their attempts to erase the real Arab history and replace it with a fake Jewish history which has no roots in this land.”
Secretary-General of the Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places Hanna Issa: “We are holding this conference in light of the cultural and educational changes being implemented by the Israeli occupation in Jerusalem, such as the change in the school curriculum, the giving of Jewish – not Arab – street names, the construction of over 9,500 fake graves around the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the construction of the Strauss Building, higher than the Al-Aqsa Mosque – all of which come as part of [a plan to create] a new culture for Jerusalem.”
Israel’s stance since 1948: “Rid [the ‎land] of the Palestinians wherever they ‎may be” – PA council
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Sept. 17, 2014
‎     “The [PA’s] Islamic-Christian Council for ‎Jerusalem and the Holy Places published ‎a statement yesterday [Sept. 16, 2014]. In ‎its statement, [the Council] stated that the ‎massacres being perpetrated by the ‎occupation state and its executive arms ‎throughout all its successive governments ‎constitute a continuation of the aggressive ‎stance it has adopted since 1948: “Rid [the ‎land] of the Palestinians wherever they ‎may be,” and constitutes a bloody ‎testimony to their ongoing suffering. The ‎Council said this statement was published ‎to mark the 32nd anniversary of the Sabra ‎and Shatila massacre, which was carried ‎out by the occupation army under the ‎leadership of Ariel Sharon and Rafael ‎Eitan at the Sabra and Shatila refugee ‎camps on September 16, 1982. Council ‎Secretary-General Dr. Hanna Issa said:‎ ’... The main aim of the massacres carried ‎out by the occupation is to sow fear in the ‎hearts of the Palestinians and to tighten ‎the noose around their [necks], in order to ‎force them to emigrate.’”‎

Note: Sabra and Shatila are Palestinian ‎refugee camps in Lebanon. In 1982, during ‎the first Lebanon War, Muslim residents of ‎the camps were massacred by Christian ‎Phalangists. The PA has a longstanding ‎policy of falsely accusing Israel of ‎committing the massacre or actively ‎helping to carry it out.‎
Islamic-Christian Jerusalem Council calls on Palestinians to wage Ribat at Al-Aqsa Mosque
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, June 4, 2014
“Secretary-General of the Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places Hanna Issa called on the residents of Jerusalem and the brothers from the Palestinian interior (i.e., Israel) to come to the Al-Aqsa Mosque and wage Ribat (religious conflict/war over land claimed to be Islamic) in it, in light of the aid being provided by the Israeli Security Forces to the Zionist attacks aimed at invading Al-Aqsa …
At the end of the statement, the Secretary-General said that this series of steps and preparations [toward invading the Al-Aqsa Mosque] are being carried out before the [Jewish] holiday of Shavuot, one of the holidays of pilgrimage ordained by the Torah, meaning that masses of Jews are required to perform pilgrimage to and enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque to perform the commandments of the Torah… This reveals, if anything, the extent of the brutal attack being planned to implement their plans of building the alleged Temple on the ruins of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, in full cooperation with the [Israeli] National Security Forces.”

Note: The PA considers any presence of Jews on the Temple Mount an "invasion." However, all visitors are subject to rigorous checks by Israeli security personnel before being granted access to the Temple Mount.
PA official accuses Israel of "Judaization" through "settlement," "expulsion of Palestinians" and "falsification of archeological finds"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Apr. 16, 2014
“Palestine Polytechnic University in Hebron, in cooperation with the [PA’s] Islamic-Christian Council for Support of Jerusalem and the Holy Sites, held a conference yesterday [April 15, 2014] under the heading ‘The Current Situation of Jerusalem’…
The Secretary-General of the PA’s Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places Hanna Issa said Jerusalem is an essential and central issue that is being subjected to the most severe forms of Judaization, expulsion, falsification and theft of history. He noted the means of Judaization being used by the occupation: settlement, land takeover, the expulsion of Palestinians and the annulment of their ID cards, the falsification of archeological finds, and additional methods.”

PA council: Israel’s goal is to build “alleged Temple” on ruins of Al-Aqsa Mosque
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 31, 2013
“The [PA’s] Islamic-Christian Council for Support of Jerusalem and the Holy Sites warned yesterday [Oct. 31, 2013] about marathon consultations and meetings held by the Israeli government in order to authorize the expansion of the Al-Buraq plaza (i.e., the Western Wall of the Temple Mount plaza) and turn it into a very large synagogue. It said that this plan constitutes a very great and real danger to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in general and the Islamic Al-Buraq plaza in particular. It also noted that Israel continues to desecrate holy sites and harm their sanctity through Judaization and demolition.
The Council’s Secretary-General Hanna Issa said that the Israeli government’s recent meetings about Judaizing the Al-Buraq plaza – after announcing an additional plan to turn an Islamic archeological site near the Al-Aqsa Mosque into a ritual bath to serve the Jewish women who have been invading the Al-Aqsa Mosque recently – are an obvious declaration of harm [aimed at] all sections of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and [the Israeli government’s] insistence on continuing with plans and initiatives to Judaize the holy city. [This will be done] until the goal is achieved and the Jewish dream is fulfilled: Building the alleged Temple on the ruins of Al-Aqsa, gaining complete control of the occupied city and making it a Jewish city for Jews only.”

Note: In October 2013, Israeli Parliament Member Aliza Lavie announced she will work to make one of the ancient ritual baths, which was discovered near the Temple Mount, functional so that it will serve women ascending the Temple Mount and female residents of the Jewish Quarter [in the Old City of Jerusalem].

Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem: Israel is destroying Al-Aqsa Mosque to rebuild "alleged Temple" on its ruins
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Sept. 14, 2012
"The Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places said yesterday that the most recent excavations beneath the Al-Aqsa Mosque foundations are a final warning [before] the mosque's destruction. The Council declared that Israeli occupation forces plan to damage the blessed mosque's foundation and weaken them, so that they will easily collapse at the first opportunity... The Council's Secretary General, Dr. Hanna Issa, called the digging under the Al-Aqsa foundations a dangerous desecration, a serious attack on the sanctity of the mosque, and a clear statement of the occupation's intentions on the mosque, and its decision to cause its collapse and build the alleged Temple on its ruins."

Israel has "assailed" archaeology in Jerusalem "through destruction and forgery"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Sept. 11, 2012
“The Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places warned yesterday that occupation authorities are destroying historical relics from the Umayyad and Abbasid Caliphate periods. It added that the entrance to (the) Silwan (neighborhood), where antiquities have been destroyed recently, is just one of scores of sites being torn asunder by occupation authority bulldozers during excavation and destruction, in order to prove Zionism’s bogus claims on Jerusalem, and implement their schemes to build the alleged Temple on the ruins of Islamic culture. In addition, the Council warned of the occupation authority’s claims that evidence has been uncovered demonstrating a Jewish and Talmudic right to these sites. The Council called on the international community and all institutions concerned with heritage to intercede immediately and show the whole world that Israel’s claims are a sham. The Council called for groups with expertise in the field of antiquities, to come and examine the finds, and thus protect ancient culture and artifacts all of whose remains are now under the threat of Judaization and destruction. Within the same context, the Council denounced Israel’s bogus claims that a large water basin has been discovered west of the Al-Aqsa mosque, dating to the period of the alleged First Temple, and it declared that these claims are fabricated. The Secretary General of the Council, Dr. Hanna Issa, declared that Israel has crossed all red lines in Jerusalem, and has not left a single site or archeological artifact that it has not assailed through destruction and forgery.”

Sheikh Hussein […] noted that in recent years Israel has built 65 synagogues inside the holy city, the latest being the “Hurva” synagogue. The Israelis were optimistic that this would be a prelude to the establishment of the alleged Temple…
Sheikh Hussein noted that several things must be done to stop the Israeli attacks and Judaization, including visiting the holy city, carrying out Ribat within it, and exposing Israeli actions."
