Video:
Fatah Shabiba Student Movement activist: “This is not welcome among us at Al-Quds Open University. There was a clear decision by University President Dr. Younes Amr to officially boycott the Americans... Take this [USAID sign] down… This course doesn’t interest me. Whoever relinquishes and sells our Al-Aqsa Mosque, for which Martyrs (Shahids), prisoners, and wounded have fallen, and in the end relinquishes it and recognizes it as the capital of the State of Israel does not honor us by being among us. Be well.
(He turns to women in the room:) Girls who agree to sit in a meeting like this, that’s your business, but this course that is supported by the Americans - and the Americans recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel two days ago [Dec. 6, 2017].”

US recognition of Jerusalem as capital of Israel - On Dec. 6, 2017, US President Donald Trump formally recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and instructed the State Department to begin preparations to transfer the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Trump added that the final borders of Jerusalem will be determined during negotiations.
Fatah cartoon depicts Jesus chasing Trump out of Jerusalem

Fatah’s cartoon shows Jesus chasing Trump out of Jerusalem with a whip in a scene reminiscent of the Christian Biblical narrative when Jesus cleanses the Temple, driving out the merchants and the money changers. In the background are three men wearing suits behind a desk with four name tags bearing the names of American banking companies: “Citi[bank],” “Wells Fargo,” “JP Morgan Chase,” and “Goldman Sachs.” The text on the cartoon says “Jerusalem is not yours to give to anyone.” Fatah repeated this in its tweet, adding the hashtag "#HandOffJerusalem."

Fatah official calls to implement same “peaceful and non-violent“ policies towards Israel as towards South Africa, compares Trump to “colonialist“ Balfour
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Dec. 18, 2017
“Fatah Movement Central Committee Secretary Jibril Rajoub demanded to strengthen the solidarity with our people, by the international community taking decisive steps regarding Israel.
Rajoub emphasized that the time has come for the same policy that succeeded in South Africa to be implemented, and the same peaceful and non-violent methods that the solidarity movements and states throughout the world use should be implemented.
He added that the time has also come to impose sanctions on those who violate the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people.
He said this during his participation in the 54th election conference of the ruling party [in South Africa], the African National Congress, on behalf of the PLO and Fatah, and as [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas’ representative… He asked: ‘Who is [US President Donald] Trump to determine the status of Jerusalem [by recognizing it as Israel’s capital]? One hundred years ago a British colonialist [Foreign Secretary] called Arthur James Balfour decided to give Palestine, which was not his land, to a movement that is not affiliated with our land (i.e., the Zionist movement.) We say to them - Jerusalem is not yours. Jerusalem is holy to the three monotheistic religions, and it is occupied land according to international law.’”

Editor-in-Chief of official PA daily after US recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital: “Interference with its history or attempt to change its status… will lead to violence and an explosion of the region... this will open the gates of Hell”
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Dec. 17, 2017
Official PA TV program Palestine This Morning, on the PA media campaign for Jerusalem

Official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida Editor in Chief Mahmoud Abu Al-Haija: “There is a very important slogan and we adhere to it: ‘If the ominous Balfour Promise (i.e., Declaration) passed, the Trump promise [recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital] will not pass.’ We will act on this basis in the official and private Palestinian media and Arab media… The future of Jerusalem is the future of the peace and stability in the region. Any interference with its history or attempt to change its status in any way other than the negotiation table will lead to violence and an explosion of the region in a way whose end will be bad. Simply, the message is: Jerusalem is the gate to peace in the region and the world; and at the same time, Jerusalem is the gate to war, and to violence and terror, if it does not achieve its freedom and its historical status regarding Palestine as the capital of the State of Palestine, and as a great city of tolerance and peace for the whole world…
It cannot be that we will be dragged into the matter of religious struggle, as this will open the gates of Hell in the region. When faiths clash with each other, there is much bloodshed… It is foolishness to think of changing the history and identity of Jerusalem… Jerusalem is a great city of all of the religions, not only of Islam and Christianity; it is a great city of all of the religions.”

Official PA daily Editor in Chief: “Trump ‘declared’ Jerusalem - with no justification – the capital of the occupation state”
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Dec. 17, 2017
Official PA TV program Palestine This Morning, on the PA media campaign for Jerusalem, hosting official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida Editor in Chief Mahmoud Abu Al-Haija

Official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida Editor in Chief Mahmoud Abu Al-Haija: “We should not use the term that [US] President [Donald] Trump ‘recognized’ Jerusalem as the capital [of Israel]. The word ‘recognition’ has the meaning of recognizing something that exists. Trump ‘declared’ Jerusalem - with no justification – the capital of the occupation state, and therefore this decision should be treated as a declaration and not as recognition.”

Official PA TV host: “We must mention the significance of the consolidation of the Palestinian media effort on that which concerns terminology and conveying the news, in order to deal with the Israeli media that always attempts to spread false rumors, and convey facts in a distorted way… [What is] the significance of the consolidation of the media efforts?”

Abu Al-Haija: “The significance of the consolidation of the media terminology, the consolidation of the words - every Arab media institution can participate in the effort of defending the matter of Jerusalem, but [this should be] through the consolidation of the media terminology, through the consolidation of the media discourse. The media efforts continue. Every institution and every paper and every [radio] station can do what it thinks is in service of this sacred cause, and in the language that it chooses. However, it must use precise terms, our terms, that we will write, that we will invent, and we should not be dragged after the Western and Israeli media…”

This was said in response to the statements of a senior American official in the While House who said that the US views the Al-Buraq Wall (i.e., the Western Wall of the Temple Mount), which the Jews call ‘the Wailing Wall,’ as part of the State of Israel. Abu Rudeina said: ‘This American position again confirms that the present American administration is completely outside of the peace process.’”

Official PA TV program Good Morning Jerusalem, about a video in Arabic being shared on social media of Jordanian pilot Yousef Dajah who, on a flight from Amman to New York, described the flight path in an announcement to the passengers as going over “Palestine” and passing “north of Jerusalem, the capital of the Palestinian state”

Official PA TV reporter Sundus Ahmed: "… Our viewers, the positions expressing the noble Jordanian people's rejection of [US President Donald] Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital continue. And today – defiance of a different type. The defiance of a Jordanian pilot in his special way, when he announced the flight path of the Royal Jordanian [airplane] to New York… In order to talk more about this matter, I welcome our guest, Captain Yousef Al-Hamlan Dajah... What motivated you to speak and announce [it] in this way?"
Jordanian pilot Captain Yousef Dajah: "In the name of All Merciful Allah, greetings and peace on the lord of the messengers, [Prophet] Muhammad, and on his family members and friends… Foolish American President [Donald Trump's] decision was to declare that Jerusalem is the capital of 'Israel,' in quotation marks, because as far as I’m concerned Palestine is from the [Jordan] River to the [Mediterranean] Sea... We will liberate [Palestine], Allah willing, from the river to the sea…

[Former British Foreign Secretary] Balfour, you vile person, what did you do to our people?
Is your conscience quiet?
Go in your grave toward the blazing fire
You are the one that expelled us, do not ask for help
You drank our blood from a goblet, and brought this fate down upon us…
You brought to our people those who orphaned small children
You have turned the best of our people into Martyrs and prisoners
Why did you bring the Jews to us, who defile Jerusalem and its great mosque?"

“Hundreds of citizens gathered yesterday [Dec. 13, 2017] in the center of Jericho in order to condemn US President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of the occupation state.
Fatah Movement Revolutionary Council Secretary [and] District Governor of Jericho and the Jordan Valley Majed Al-Fatiani and Fatah Secretary [in Hebron] Jihad Abu Al-Asal participated in the mass procession that passed through the streets of the city…
Al-Fatiani said that it is our people’s fate to carry out Ribat (i.e., religious conflict/war over land claimed to be Islamic) on the land of Palestine, stand firm in it, and protect its Islamic and Christian holy sites. He added that this role was placed in the hands of our fighting Palestinian people and we will defend Jerusalem with our souls and our bodies, and Jerusalem was and will remain the capital of our Palestinian state.
Al-Asal emphasized that our people, with all of its components, is required to carry out intifada and to rise up to defend Jerusalem, the capital of the Palestinian state and the first direction of prayer. He also emphasized: ‘We say to the entire world that Jerusalem is Arab and Palestinian, with the Islamic and Christian holy sites, and the latest American decision does not give anyone [else] the right [to it].’”

“The [PA Palestinian] Supreme Fatwa Council adamantly rejected American President [Donald Trump’s] decision to give occupied Jerusalem as a capital to the Israeli occupation entity state. It explained that this decision - which was given by one without ownership to one without a right – is illegal and constitutes a grave threat to the peace and stability in the region and a blatant attack against the rights of the Palestinian people and of the Arab and Islamic nation that are behind it.  This is because Jerusalem is an inseparable part of the occupied Palestinian land, and there is no legality to the existence of the occupation on any bit of it, and it and its holy sites - and the diamond in its crown, the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque - will remain in the souls of the Muslims and Arabs and will not be relinquished or bargained over. Our people, its leadership, and its factions refuse to hand over the keys to the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque or the Church of the Holy Sepulchre to any foreign party, regardless of the cost and the sacrifices.”
