Ramallah – Publicity [Department] of the [PLO] Supreme Council for Youth and Sports

Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Riyad Al-Malki welcomed the delegations participating in the First International Palestinian Youth Camp today [Nov. 29, 2016] at his office in Ramallah…
Al-Malki said: ‘We still insist on ending the occupation, because that is our obligation and because the problem began with the existence of the occupation and the issuing of the Balfour Promise (i.e., Declaration), which stole and plundered our land 100 years ago.’”

The Balfour Declaration of Nov. 2, 1917 was a letter from British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour to Baron Rothschild stating that “His Majesty's government views with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people” and is seen as the basis for later international commitments to establish the State of Israel.
