Headline: "13 universities and colleges take part in the first Palestinian guide to higher education for students from the Interior"

“Nazareth – the Institute for Palestinian-Palestinian Contact – Bortokala.com - announced that the opportunity to participate in the book The Palestinian Higher Education Guide for Students from the Interior (i.e., Palestinian term for Israel) has now ended.
The number of Palestinian universities and colleges participating in the guide reached 13 - seven universities and six official academic colleges - and they are: Birzeit University, the Arab American University in Jenin, National An-Najah University in Nablus, Palestine Polytechnic University in Hebron, Al-Quds Open University, Al-Quds University, and Bethlehem University.
The colleges are: Da'wah Islamic College in Qalqilya, Makassed College for Nursing in Jerusalem, the governmental Palestine Technical College for Girls in Ramallah, the government Al-Arroub Palestine Technical College in Hebron, the Modern College in Ramallah, and the Dar Al-Kalima College for Arts in Bethlehem.
The [guide]book – whose length exceeds 130 pages – will include, in addition to sections dedicated to the universities and colleges, the regulations of the Palestinian Council of Higher Education in regard to the recognition of certificates, and the addresses of the relevant departments in the [PA] Ministry of Education and Higher Education. The reader will be able to go to the websites of the universities and colleges to receive additional information… by using the QR barcode system.
All this and more - the local council and the community center in the town of Yafa an-Naseriyye will host an official ceremony next month for the publication of the book, and this is under the auspices of [PA] Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Sabri Saidam. He will speak at the event alongside Council Head Attorney Imran Kinana, Director of the Supreme Monitoring Committee Mr. Muhammad Barakeh, Israeli Parliament member and member of the Israeli Parliament’s Education Committee for the Joint [Arab] List party Dr. Yousef Jabareen, and Director of the Bortokala.com Institute and media figure Raed Nasrallah…
Before the publication ceremony there will be a guidance day for high school students and residents of the Interior in general on Palestinian university study possibilities. They will meet representatives of the Palestinian universities and colleges included in the guidebook in order to be provided with information and explanations on the fields, tracks [of study], admission conditions, tuition, and the like…
It should be noted that the publication of this book is the first initiative of its type… by the Bortokala.com Institute in Nazareth, which excels in the area of Palestinian-Palestinian contact. After the Palestinian Ministry [of Education] responded to the initiative, the minister ordered the appointment of Mr. Ayman Hodali as head of student activities in the ministry and as the contact person between the ministry and the institute, until the initiative was published.
The director of the Bortokala.com Institute announced that with the execution of the quality project, a large window will be opened to our male and female students through which they will come to know the Palestinian university network, which constitutes a source of academic and national pride for all of our Palestinian people, as it has developed and reached the point it is at despite the occupation and its activities. The guidebook constitutes a new gate for the Palestinian-Palestinian contact in all its aspects towards the unification of the two parts of the orange that have been divided against their will since the Nakba (i.e., “the catastrophe,” the Palestinian term for the establishment of the State of Israel) of our Palestinian people in 1948.
It should be noted that the book will be distributed for free to 11th and 12th grade students of the Arab high schools in the Interior."
