Fatah glorifies “prettiest mothers” of terrorists

Posted text: “‛The prettiest mothers are those who have seen their son return as a Martyr (Shahid) and cried two rose tears’ (the quote is from a poem by Palestinian national poet Mahmoud Darwish –Ed.); this is how the mothers of the Martyrs said goodbye to their sons today before their funeral.”
The image shows three mothers standing over the bodies of their dead terrorist sons, after Israel returned four terrorists’ bodies in the first week of August, 2017. The four terrorists were Muhammad Tanouh who attempted to stab Israeli soldiers, Abdallah Takatka who attempted to stab Israeli soldiers, Raafat Harbawi who wounded 2 Israeli soldiers in a car ramming attack, and Ammar Tirawi who conducted two shooting attacks and was killed after drawing a weapon on police who came to arrest him. PMW was unable to verify which of the four are pictured in the image.
Mahmoud Darwish is considered the Palestinian national poet. He published over 30 volumes of poetry and 8 books of prose and has won numerous awards. He joined the Israeli Communist Party in 1961 and the terrorist organization PLO in 1973, becoming a member of the PLO Executive Committee in 1987. He left the PLO in 1993 because it signed the Oslo Accords with Israel.
Many in Israel see his poetry as inciting hate and violence. One poem he wrote in 1988 at the height of the Palestinian wave of violence and terror against Israel (the first Intifada, 1987-1993) calls to Israelis: “Take your portion of our blood - and be gone… Live wherever you like, but do not live among us… Die wherever you like, but do not die among us… Leave our country, our land, our sea, our wheat, our salt, our wounds, everything, and leave the memories of memory.”
He also wrote “Silence for the Sake of Gaza” in 1973, which many see as glorifying terror: “She wraps explosives around her waist and blows herself up. It is not a death, and not a suicide. It is Gaza's way of declaring she is worthy of life.”
His defenders have claimed that Israel misinterprets his poetry and that he sought reconciliation with Israel. One wrote in 2017: “Darwish arranged meetings between Palestinian and Israeli intellectuals, and published essays on their discussions. Muhammad Tanouh – a Palestinian terrorist who tried to stab Israeli soldiers at the entrance to the village of Taqua, south of Bethlehem, on July 20, 2017, and was shot and killed by them.
Abdallah Ali Mahmoud Takatka – 24-year-old Palestinian terrorist who attempted to stab Israeli soldiers at Gush Etzion Junction on July 28, 2017. Takatka was killed by the soldiers.
Raafat Harbawi – Palestinian terrorist who wounded 2 Israeli soldiers in a car ramming attack at the Beit Anoun Junction near Hebron on July 18, 2017. Harbawi was shot and killed by other soldiers during the attack.
Ammar Tirawi – 34-year-old Palestinian terrorist who carried out two shooting attacks on July 15, 2017. Tirawi first shot at a car near Ateret, northwest of Ramallah, wounding 1, and later in the day opened fire on a military post at the village of Nabi Saleh, northwest of Ramallah, where he lived. Israeli police anti-terror forces came to arrest him at his home, and when he drew a weapon and aimed it at them they shot and killed him. Arab media reported that Tirawi had previously spent 8 years in prison for terror activity.
