Director of Prisoners' Club describes “Martyrs” as innocent bystanders killed by Israel

"Director of the [PA-funded] Prisoners' Club in Jerusalem Nasser Qaws said that Damascus Gate is 'the Gate of the Martyrs (Shahids) due to the number of Martyrs, as more than 15 Martyrs have died in its vicinity since the beginning of the popular uprising, while they were on their way to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and the Old City [of Jerusalem] (sic., they were terrorists, killed while committing attacks near the Damascus Gate).'"
The terms "all means”, "all means of resistance," “all forms,” are used by PA leaders to include using all types of violence, including deadly terror against Israeli civilians such as stabbings and shootings, as well as throwing rocks and Molotov Cocktails.
It is unclear which period Nasser Qaws refers to by the term “the popular uprising.” It could refer to the Palestinian terror wave (2015-2016) or later periods of Palestinian violence
