Violence and terror
From music to murder
Violence and terror
After demonizing Jews and Israelis, including citing Islamic sources that depict Jews negatively, and culminating with ongoing lies and libels that portray Jews as an immediate threat to Palestinian life and existence, the Palestinian Authority foment violence against Jews and Israelis, presenting it as legitimate and even heroic self-defense.

PA terror promotion takes many forms. Nationalistically, the PA actively elevates violence as a valid and heroic means to achieve political goals, while religiously, fighting and killing Jews has been presented repeatedly by PA religious and academic leaders as Allah’s will. On the social level, Palestinian leaders and society honor even the most loathsome of murderers portraying them as heroes and role models: Dalal Mughrabi, who led a bus hijacking in which 37 were killed, has schools, summer camps, and many other events and places baring her name to immortalize and glorify her and her terror attack.

The success of the PA’s promotion of violence is readily evident: A majority of Palestinians support killing and suicide terror against civilian Jews and Israelis. A poll conducted after the murder of eight teenagers who were studying in a Jerusalem high school in 2008, found that 84% of Palestinians supported the murder [NY Times, March 19, 2008, citing the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research].

This violent image of a dagger being thrust into the Star of David has appeared hundreds of times in a video clip for children on PA TV, from 2001 – 2008.

Fatah song glorifies violence: “Slice ‎open the enemy’s chest… I have no ‎love other than the love of the rifle”‎
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Dec. 31, 2012
“Long Live Fatah Men,” sung by the ‎Al-Asifa band:
‎“Long live all Fatah men‎
Long live Fatah and the revolution
Long live all Fatah men.‎

Shoot the DShK [Russian anti-aircraft ‎weapon] and the machine gun
Let the whole world hear
The Palestinian will never bow down
other than to the Lord of the universe ‎
Eilabun is the first shot
And Fatah is responsible
The oath is to free the state from the ‎hands of the Zionists

No one prevailed over us
We burst over the borders
We fear only He who created us
We do not fear death

The Fatah man does not take things ‎lightly
His nature is not to take things lightly
He fires the mortar
The 500 machine gun

Strike, mortar, strike!‎
Slice open the enemy’s chest, slice [it] ‎
I’m a Palestinian and I want my right
My full right

We loaded the vest with ammunition
We lived in caves
We fenced the homeland with barbed-wire
And we filled its borders with mines
Ours is the hard way
Bullets, sing for us
The sound of rifle fire gladdens us”‎

The singer Balawneh reads a love song to ‎Fatah, and ends with the following words:‎
‎“Fatah taught me, Thank you, Fatah
I have no love other than the love of the ‎rifle.”‎

The love in my heart for you is great
You have brought up and educated
generation after generation,
You waited patiently and discovered your heroic children
Oh, my pure land, I shall saturate you with my blood
I shall live and die upon your green ground
Your ground satiates us, your goodness satisfies us
I shall redeem you with my life, oh my land
Your embrace warms us
Your ground satiates us, your goodness satisfies us
I shall redeem you with my life, oh my land
Your embrace warms us"

PA Ministry of Culture encourages Martyrdom: “Teach us how to turn heartbeats into bombs”
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Dec. 30, 2011
Show host welcomes the music group:
“We welcome you on behalf of the [PA] Ministry of Culture.”

Band sings the song “Intifada Anthem”:
“This is our country's word in the face of death:
Our language is fire, and the revolution is the roof of our house.
We sing it while erasing the step of the thief (i.e., Israel).
This blood is the voice.
We have gathered the blood from our first wound.
We escorted the Martyr of the land to his wedding [to 72 Dark-Eyed maidens], and held a pre-wedding party for our female Martyr (who became one of the Dark-Eyed).
We said to the little one: 'Grow up', as we declared our Intifada.
Our country is the sea, the threshing floor and the clay houses.
Our country is Al-Ram, Rama and the Ramin plain (note: Rama is in northern Israel), the Acre fortress, the sun of the Carmel and Haifa (note: All in northern Israel), and Gaza, which responds to death with the knife.

Band sings the song “Teach us”:
Teach us how to make torches from the darkness of night.
Teach us how to get jasmine from the wounds of the heart.
Teach us how to turn heartbeats into bombs.
Teach us how to eat our bread which is drenched with blood, that we may live.
Not that we may live but that we may continue to fight.”

I am the voice of the stone and the tree, the bleeding wounded."

We want to hear a song full of life and vitality, because we want to live. We want a beautiful life, we want always to call for all that adorns our life. We want to forget about death for a little while and distance ourselves far from death."

PA TV broadcasts song calling for Jihad against Israel
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Nov. 23, 2010
"My brother! The oppressors (i.e., Israelis) have gone too far.
Therefore Jihad is a right, and self-sacrifice is a right.
Shall we let them steal the Arab nature -
the patriarchal glory and rule?
And only through the sound of the sword
They respond, with voice or echo.
Draw from the sheath your sword;
And let it not return.
My brother, my brother, Oh proud Arab
Today is our moment, not tomorrow.
My brother, the time of our nation's sunrise has arrived,
[the time] for you to repel those who are misled
And bring renaissance to Islam."
