PA TV filler on US Jerusalem decision quotes Arafat: “Do not cause the green branch to fall from my hand” and be replaced with a rifle

Official PA TV interlude on US President Donald Trump’s impending decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and transfer the US embassy to Jerusalem

The interlude plays recordings of former PLO and PA Chairman Yasser Arafat from his well-known 1974 UN speech, in which he said: “The olive branch is in my hand, and the rifle of the revolution is in my hand. Do not cause the green branch to fall from my hand.”

Visual: At the end of the recordings of Arafat’s statements the words: “Jerusalem, a red line” appear on a black screen, with two red lines behind the text. In the upper left corner of the screen appears a special logo showing a scene of Jerusalem and the Dome of the Rock, with the Palestinian flag below it, and below it the words: “Jerusalem is ours.”
