Fatah official in response to terror attack on the Temple Mount: “It is the right of the Palestinian people to carry out all types of resistance according to the existing conditions”

Headline: “Al-Ahmad: Netanyahu is taking advantage of every incident to carry out acts of violence, and the resistance in all its forms is a right of the Palestinians”
“Fatah Movement Central Committee member [and Fatah Commissioner of National Relations (i.e., between Hamas and Fatah)] Azzam Al-Ahmad emphasized that the shooting operation that took place at the Al-Aqsa Mosque (i.e., terror attack on July 14, 2017, 2 murdered) was exploited by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the ugliest way when he closed the Al-Aqsa Mosque to worshippers and prevented them from holding the Friday prayer there…
On the same issue, the Fatah Movement Central Committee member [Azzam Al-Ahmad] emphasized that it is the right of the Palestinian people to carry out all types of resistance (i.e., term used by Palestinians, which also refers to the use of violence) according to the existing conditions, and noted that the types of resistance are varied and also include the popular struggle.
He said: ‘It is possible that the resolve of those carrying out Ribat (i.e., religious conflict/war over land claimed to be Islamic) at the Al-Aqsa Mosque and its plazas throughout recent years constituted a fence defending the Al-Aqsa Mosque. However, the fact that this operation was exploited despite all of those who carried it out being Palestinians from within the Green Line (i.e., term refering to Israel; the Green Line is the ceasefire line between Israel and the neighboring Arab countries, 1949-1967) proves that the rampaging of the Zionists and extremist Jewish settlers will lead to additional problems, which in turn will lead to a return to the cycle of violence.’
He added: ‘We hope that peace will return in all of the possible ways, but if Israel wants to continue to ignore the ongoing effort to revive the peace process, it is the right of the Palestinian people to use all types of struggle in order to defend its rights. We hope that the ongoing efforts to revive the peace process will succeed and that what has happened throughout recent years will teach Netanyahu that he must stop the acts of violence.’”

The terms "all means," “all forms,” "peaceful uprising/resistance,” and “popular uprising/resistance" are ‎often used by PA leaders to refer to events that include violence and deadly terror ‎against Israeli civilians such as rock-throwing, stabbings and even shootings. See ‎Mahmoud Abbas' reference to murderous terror as "peaceful" during the 2015-2016 ‎terror wave (“The Knife Intifada”), which included numerous stabbings, shootings and car ramming attacks in which 40 people were killed (36 Israelis, 1 Palestinian, 2 Americans and 1 Eritrean) and hundreds wounded: http://palwatch.org/main.aspx?fi=157&doc_id=16437
