Palestinian paper denies Israeli sovereignty, calls towns in the Gaza Envelope in Israel “settlements”

Al-Quds, Palestinian daily  |
Headline: "Gaza’s sewage is streaming toward the Gaza Strip envelope settlements"

"Head of the Gaza Envelope Settlements (i.e., in Israel near the border with the Gaza Strip) Regional Council Yair Farjun (i.e., head of the Hof Ashkelon regional council) has sent a letter to Israeli Minister of the Army (i.e., Defense) Avigdor Liberman and [Israeli] Minister of Environmental [Protection] Zeev Elkin, in which he warned against disastrous environmental events about to occur in the region if the reduction in the electricity [supplied] to Gaza continues."

In early June 2017 Israel decided to reduce the electricity supply to the Gaza Strip at the request of PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, who sought to pressure Hamas by saying he will no longer pay for the Gaza Strip’s electricity.
