Fatah official: Due to its recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital, US is full "partner in the daily spilling of Palestinian blood"
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Feb. 6, 2018

Fatah Revolutionary Council Secretary Majed Al-Fatiani:
"[Mahmoud Abbas] emphasized tonight that the US, through its recognition of Jerusalem [as Israel's capital] and also its attempts to skip over the topic of the refugees, will not succeed in removing the topics of Jerusalem and the refugees from the international equation, but rather it has simply removed itself from the political process and become a partner in the full sense of the word in the daily spilling of Palestinian blood."

Fatah official: Trump and UN Ambassador Haley have begun an "organized and planned attack against Abbas," similar to "attack against Arafat... that preceded his assassination by Israeli poison"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 27, 2018
Excerpt of an op-ed by Muwaffaq Matar, a member of the Fatah Revolutionary Council and regular columnist for the official PA daily

Headline: “The day that Mahmoud Abbas overcame Trump’s arrogance”
“[US President Donald] Trump’s representative at the [UN] Security Council [US Ambassador to the UN] Nikki Haley said in these words: ‘Palestinian [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas insulted US President Donald Trump when he opposed Washington’s role in the peace process (sic., Haley said Abbas insulted Trump in a speech in which he said: “May your house be destroyed!”).’… We must not forget a most grave matter, which is that the words of Haley and Trump will be a sort of beginning of an organized and planned attack against President Mahmoud Abbas, which reminds us of the attack against [former PA] President Martyr (Shahid) Yasser Arafat, may his memory be blessed, that preceded his assassination by Israeli poison… They are liable to harm President Mahmoud Abbas, as they did President Yasser Arafat, but who told them that a Palestinian leader who is as great as the homeland is afraid to die for the freedom of the people and the liberation of the land? They are indeed arrogant.”

The image shows US President Donald Trump, and refers together with the text to aid to the PA that Trump has threatened to cut if the PA does not return to negotiations with Israel, and to the US freezing two planned payments to UNRWA (UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East) for more than $100 million in early January 2018.

On Jan. 25, 2018, US President Donald Trump held a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland. During it Trump said that the US would stop providing financial aid to the PA if they did not return to negotiations with Israel. Trump also said: "We took Jerusalem off the table,” and when asked by a reporter whether Jerusalem being “off the table" meant that none of it would be part of a future Palestinian state, Trump refused to elaborate, responding: "Next question."

The Foreign Ministry of the Palestinian Authority attacks US VP Mike Pence
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 25, 2018
Headline: “[PA] Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Pence’s speech reveals the influence of Zionist Christianity on American policy”

“The [PA] Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates emphasized that American Vice President Mike Pence’s speech [to the Israeli Parliament] is a missionary speech that came from the mouth of a religious preacher who is closely connected to Zionism and saturated with ideological terms full of racism and hatred of the other…
The ministry said that Pence represents Zionist Christianity and the missionary Evangelical Church that believes in Jesus’ return, and thinks that his return will only be realized under the sovereignty of the State of Israel whose capital is Jerusalem. This missionary Messianic logic is what stands behind [US] President [Donald] Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the State of Israel’s capital, because the conservative Christian stream that Pence represents thinks that this will hasten Jesus’ return.”

US recognition of Jerusalem as capital of Israel - On Dec. 6, 2017, US President Donald Trump formally recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and instructed the State Department to begin preparations to transfer the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Trump added that the final borders of Jerusalem will be determined during negotiations.

The cartoon shows US President Donald Trump as a victorious Roman gladiator – dressed in a roman toga and sandals. He is holding a sword with a dollar sign on its hilt, and a wreath around his head, transferred there from the UN logo below his foot, which is missing its wreath. He has one foot on the UN logo, which is also used by UNRWA (UN Relief and Works Agency) – which provides support to Palestinian “refugees.” This refers to the US notifying UNRWA on Jan.16, 2018, that it was withholding $65 million of a planned $125 million funding installment.

“Fatah Movement Commissioner of Mobilization and Organization [in the West Bank, Fatah] Central Committee member, [and PLO Central Council member] Jamal Muhaisen said that the activities of rage against US President Donald Trump’s decision on Jerusalem [declaring it Israel’s capital], and against the unwanted visit of his Vice President Mike Pence will continue in all of the districts…
Muhaisen emphasized that ‘the various national activities and their continuation are part of the Palestinian struggle to end the occupation, because in his latest declaration Trump put an end to America’s role as any sort of a mediator in the political process.’”

PA daily editorial accuses Israel and US of racism, calls VP Pence “crazy”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 24, 2018
Excerpt of an editorial of the official PA daily

“The Israeli democracy of oppression and racism made US Vice President [Mike] Pence happy when it forcibly removed the Arab members of the Israeli Parliament – who were protesting Pence’s visit and his [US] President [Donald] Trump’s decision to recognize Palestinian and Arab Jerusalem as Israel’s capital – from the Israeli Parliament plenum! (After they disrupted Pence's speech; see note below –Ed.)...
The US is today forming the alliance of baring teeth and arrogance against the Palestinian people with Israel and the racist and extremist right-wing. Through this exclusionary democracy… [the US] is striving to realize the plans of this evil alliance… With the same arrogance and baring teeth, Pence declares that peace is more possible now after Trump’s decision on Jerusalem! On this matter we say to Pence what the people of our country say: ‘A crazy person speaks and an intelligent person listens.’ What peace is possible, Vice President Pence, without Jerusalem being the capital of the State of Palestine? […] The racism of the occupation and its ally the US will not be a decree of fate under any circumstances.”

Abbas’ Deputy says now is a good opportunity to disconnect from US, “They have not given us a thing”
Source: Falestinona, website of Fatah's Information and Culture Commission in Lebanon, Jan. 23, 2018
Headline: “Al-Aloul: The US became a partner of the Israeli occupation after it recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital”

Al-Quds magazine met with Fatah Movement Central Committee member and Fatah Deputy Chairman Mahmoud Al-Aloul ‘Abu Jihad’ so that he could brief us on the recent developments in the current issues.

[Q:] ‘How do you assess the Palestinian political situation after [US President Donald] Trump’s declaration of Jerusalem as "Israel's" capital?’

[Mahmoud Al-Aloul:] ‘Trump’s declaration of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital is a good opportunity for us to disconnect from the US, as we no longer have the least doubt that nothing good will come to the Palestinian people and the Arab nation from the US. After this step that it has taken, it is no longer [just] biased in favor of the Israeli occupation as we knew in the past, but rather it currently constitutes a partner to the occupation. Whoever looks at the relations with the US through all of the American administrations will find that we have nothing to lose, as they have not given us a thing. They have always made promises during elections and the presidential inauguration that have quickly dissipated due to the pressures of the Zionist lobby’…

Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 23, 2018

Headline: “The Arab members of the Israeli Parliament – the frontline of Jerusalem”

“Yesterday [Jan. 22, 2018] the people of Palestine made US Vice President [Mike Pence] hear what he must hear from the Palestinians, the original owners of the land… certainly when the voices of the Palestinian (i.e., Israeli Arab) members of the Israeli Parliament, the native residents of the land, shattered the [US President Donald] Trump – [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu map, and eliminated the statement: ‘a Jewish state’ (the Arab members of the Israeli Parliament disrupted Pence’s speech and were removed; see note below –Ed.). That is on the assumption that the one who stood at the [Israeli Parliament] podium (i.e., Pence) has… the intelligence of a diplomat in a superpower, who is supposed to be wise… But this cannot be hoped for from the vice president of the country of [US Ambassador to the UN] Nikki Haley with her high heels (refers to her remark that her heels are in order to protect Israel at the UN –Ed.)... Here, in this [place] that the world calls ‘Israel’ even though it has no borders, there are two million Arab Palestinians whose historical roots sprouted here the first time the sun rose on the world after the great flood [of Noah from the Bible].

Anything can be expected from those who have committed the historical crime and from the leaders of the new US in the age of the Hitleresque and Balfouresque Trump, who think that the Earth is a cake that they have the right to divide and give pieces of to whomever they want however they want. Those who inherited the colonialist mentality in the American continent and are silent about the crime of the destruction of the Indians will cer

Fatah official: US Vice President Pence “proved that the American administration is part of the problem and not part of the solution”

Headline: “The US vice president was witness to the expulsion of the Arab members of the Israeli Parliament from the Israeli Parliament, and bragged that the [US] embassy will be transferred to Jerusalem by the end of 2019 – Erekat: Pence’s racist attack at the Israeli Parliament is a gift to the extremists, the US is part of the problem”

“Secretary of the PLO Executive Committee, [Fatah Central Committee member, and PLO Chief Negotiator] Saeb Erekat yesterday [Jan. 22, 2018] criticized the speech that US Vice President Mike Pence gave before the Israeli Parliament. He described it as ‘a crusade’ that constitutes ‘a gift to the extremists.’ Erekat said that the attack that Pence led in the Israeli Parliament… proved that the American administration is part of the problem and not part of the solution. Fatah official: VP Pence’s visit to Western Wall is an “attack” against the Palestinians, falsely claims Jews have no connection to Wall
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 23, 2018

[Muhaisen added that] the British committee determined in 1929 that the wall belongs to the Muslims and that the Jews have no connection to it or place there (sic., the 1930 Wailing Wall Commission did not rule out the Jewish connection to the Western Wall; see note below –Ed.)."

Fatah Deputy Chairman in interview: “The American administrations have not given the Palestinians anything of substance”
Source: Al-Quds Al-Arabi (London newspaper), Jan. 20, 2018
Excerpt of the full text of an interview conducted by the London newspaper Al-Quds Al-Arabi with Fatah Deputy Chairman and Fatah Central Committee member Mahmoud Al-Aloul

Headline: “Fatah Movement Deputy Chairman Mahmoud Al-Aloul: We will not confront the Arab countries that are going in the direction of normalization [with Israel], we will leave that to their peoples”
Q: ‘Had you known in advance, would you have recommended to him [Abbas] to use this expression [“may your house be destroyed”]?’
[Al-Aloul:] 'Maybe I would have recommended to him to use other stronger expressions. I don’t know why the expression is being focused upon. It expresses the feelings and level of disappointment, and this is most clear in this context. Recently we were forced to review all of our relations with the American administrations in recent years, and not just the Trump administration. We assessed that nothing good will come from them for the Palestinian people and the nation, and this is completely clear.'
Q: ‘Is that your assessment or the assessment of the Palestinian leadership?’
[Al-Aloul:] 'It is the assessment of the entire Palestinian leadership. If we review the relations with all of the American administrations, we see that they have not given the Palestinians anything of substance but rather worked in order to pull the rug out from under their feet by exerting pressures on them, and that with all their might they support [the Palestinians’] enemy that is occupying their lands.'
