PA district governor: Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as “a capital for the Jews” was “the most dangerous thing in history”
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Dec. 24, 2018
Official PA TV program Palestine This Morning, special episode for Christmas at the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, hosting Bethlehem District Governor Kamel Hamid

Bethlehem District Governor Kamel Hamid: “The plot against our people has not ended. That is to say, the most dangerous [plot] - that has served as a precedent - when American President [Donald Trump] announced the transfer of the [US] embassy [to Jerusalem]. He did not [just] transfer the embassy; he [also] announced that [Jerusalem] is a capital for the Jews – and this is the most dangerous thing in history.”

PA daily op-ed glorifies terrorists that killed 3 as “heroic Martyrs”, attacks Trump and demonizes Israelis
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Dec. 15, 2018
Excerpt of op-ed by Yahya Rabah, a columnist for the official PA daily and member of the Fatah Leadership Committee in Gaza

"The significance of the spilling of Israeli blood lies in the fact that it occurred after the reverberating failure of the American proposal at the [UN] General Assembly, which wanted to mark Hamas as a terror [organization] (see note below –Ed.). This American resolution failed in a shameful manner... Therefore, we saw [US President Donald] Trump agitated and pitiful because his proposal failed, and this idiot returned to babbling about what he has already babbled about in the past, and threatened to punish the states that voted against his resolution and brought it down with great shame! By Allah, is this man suitable to be the president of the US? He does nothing but fail, and only receives slaps on the cheek!
The second criminal, [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu, sent his army in great numbers and laid siege to the Ramallah and El-Bireh district! […]
Heroic Martyr (Shahid) Ashraf Na'alwa (i.e., terrorist, murdered 2) and heroic Martyr Saleh Barghouti (i.e., terrorist, murdered baby and wounded 7)… are Palestinian Martyrs, who came from the Palestinian time and experienced the bitter Palestinian experience. Each one of them is a rose that grew out of a wound, and the wound is Palestinian, and they will be born one million and one times in the names of new heroes that will be born in the fields of Palestinian creativity."

PLO Chief Negotiator celebrates the UN’s failure to condemn Hamas and its actions, calls US Ambassador Haley’s defense of Israel “shameful and unethical”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Dec. 8, 2018
Headline: "The PLO: What took place at the UN is a victory for the Palestinian unity against the American-Israeli arrogance"

"PLO Executive Committee Secretary [and Fatah Central Committee member] Saeb Erekat emphasized that [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas, the PLO Executive Committee, the Fatah Movement Central Committee, and the Palestinian [PA] national unity government granted a victory to the Palestinian unity and placed the supreme Palestinian interests above all other considerations. This was when they stood against the unjust American-Israeli attempts to consider the Hamas Movement a terrorist movement, which [US Ambassador to the UN] Nikki Haley hoped would be the high point of her blind bias in favor of the occupation and her shameful and unethical defense of the war crimes that the occupation authority, Israel, commits. Erekat said in a statement yesterday [Dec. 7, 2018]: 'History will remember unfavorably Nikki Haley’s approach towards the Palestinian people’s legal national rights and its right to freedom, independence, and the realization of the independence of the State of Palestine in the June 4, 1967 borders, whose capital is East Jerusalem.’"

Saeb Erekat also holds the position of PLO Chief Negotiator.

UN Resolution condemning Hamas - The US proposed a resolution to condemn the terror organization Hamas for firing rockets into Israel and inciting violence, and demanding that it and other terrorist groups such as Islamic Jihad cease their terror activities, including the use of airborne incendiaries. The proposal was voted on by the UN General Assembly on Dec. 6, 2018. Although it received a majority of the votes, the proposal did not receive the two thirds needed to be ratified.
Op-ed in official PA daily: Hamas is carrying out a “legitimate struggle,” failed US sponsored resolution declaring Hamas a terror organization heralds Trump’s disgrace and Netanyahu’s fall
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Dec. 8, 2018
Excerpt of op-ed by Yahya Rabah, a columnist for the official PA daily and member of the Fatah Leadership Committee in Gaza

"And thus the day of the vote at the UN General Assembly on the American proposed resolution, which is 100% in Israel's favor, arrived.
The Palestinian leadership invested a supreme effort through Palestinian diplomacy and through its international connections in order to thwart the proposed resolution – which means thwarting American President Donald Trump and his diplomacy that is losing its grip – this proposal, which sought to accuse Hamas of terror over a legitimate struggle it is carrying out, and which is the right of every people that is under occupation according to international law and the international bodies (sic., apparently refers to Palestinian claim that UN Resolution 3236 legitimizes violence; see note below). The US suffered this failure for Israel and Trump suffered this slap on behalf of [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu, and the failure of the American resolution opened an especially wide door, whose title is that every failure of Netanyahu is Trump's failure, and every disgrace of Trump is a warning about the fall of Netanyahu."

Fatah official condemns US-led anti-Hamas resolution; says Fatah "opposes making any accusation of terror against Palestinians in any form;" condemns Arab countries’ normalization with Israel
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Nov. 21, 2018
“Fatah Movement Central Committee member [and Fatah Commissioner of Treasury and Economy] Muhammad Shtayyeh said two days ago [Nov. 19, 2018] that Fatah is ready for a full national reconciliation [with Hamas]… He emphasized that the Palestinian position, which opposes the so-called ‘deal of the century’ (referring to US President Donald Trump’s as yet unpublished Middle East peace plan –Ed.), was adopted following the decisions and steps that the Trump administration actually took... Shtayyeh added: ‘America wanted to lead us to a political massacre, through which it would eliminate the Palestinian national cause.’
Shtayyeh emphasized that Fatah opposes the draft resolution being formulated in the American Congress to condemn the Hamas Movement. He explained that the [Fatah] Movement opposes making any accusation of terror against Palestinians in any form…
Shtayyeh also spoke about the topic of normalization. He said that it is sad to see that the Arab Peace Initiative is being ignored, and that Israeli is being given what it desires without paying the political price. He also noted that the secret normalization process has become overt, and this means that the Arab Peace Initiative has been cancelled and that the Palestinians must depend on themselves.”

Fatah official denies having said that the US terror list is “a badge of honor on the chest of everyone whose name was included”

Fatah official declares US terror lists are “a source of pride to our Palestinian people and a badge of honor” to those named as terrorists
Source: Donia Al-Watan (independent Palestinian news agency), Nov. 14, 2018
Headline: “Abbas Zaki: The American terror lists are a badge of honor for Saleh Al-Arouri”

“Fatah Movement Central Committee member [and Fatah Commissioner for Arab and China Relations] Abbas Zaki said that the American terrorist lists that were published yesterday (Tuesday) [Nov. 13, 2018] are a source of pride to our Palestinian people and a badge of honor on the chest of everyone whose name was included on these lists.
In a press statement, Zaki explained that the American decision to put the senior [Hamas] official [and founder of the Izz A-Din Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’ military wing] Saleh Al-Arouri on the terror lists reflects the arbitrary American bias [in favor of Israel], and [America’s] practical contribution to the hostile treatment of our people and standing against its aspiration for freedom.
Zaki called on the free people of the world to come out against the American actions, which sponsor terror, and not to recognize any list that is published on the basis of its solidarity with the Israeli project in the region.
Zaki explained that the American decisions will not affect our people’s struggle and its leaders’ path.”
Op-ed in official PA daily claims US President Trump “suffers from intellectual and ideological emptiness,” and has made the US into a “direct enemy state”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Nov. 10, 2018
Excerpt of op-ed by Yahya Rabah, columnist for the official PA daily and a member of the Fatah Leadership Committee in Gaza

Headline: "The normalization competitions with Israel are cheap competitions"

"These days people are ascending the world stage who are plotting terrible plots against us – new players, the most prominent of whom is [US President] Donald Trump who has moved the US from the role of the mediator to a direct enemy state, and who suffers from intellectual and ideological emptiness. He has formed an alliance with Christian-Jewish groups in the US that espouse a different Christian school of thought and believe in the Jewish myths much more than many sectors among the Jews themselves."
Balfour depicted as Dracula in PA daily cartoon

The cartoon shows former British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour depicted with bloody vampire fangs, and wearing a black Count Dracula cape.
Text on cartoon in English and Arabic: “Balfour”

The Balfour Declaration of Nov. 2, 1917 was a letter from British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour to Baron Rothschild stating that “His Majesty's government views with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people.” In 1922, the League of Nations adopted this and made the British Mandate “responsible for putting into effect the declaration,” which led to the UN vote in 1947 and the establishment of the State of Israel.

PA daily op-ed to Jewish Israelis: “You are victims of a plan of fraud” by the “colonial powers” since Balfour “made a promise to your foreign forefathers who have no right to the land of our homeland Palestine”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Nov. 4, 2018
Excerpt of op-ed by Muwaffaq Matar, a Fatah Revolutionary Council member and regular columnist for the official PA daily

"With the passing of 100 years since the Balfour Promise (i.e., Declaration), the message must be conveyed to the Jewish Israelis, and particularly those among them who were and still are victims of systematic fraud. We say to them with full sincerity: You are victims of a plan of fraud by the greatest colonial powers in the world, since British Foreign Secretary [Arthur] Balfour made a promise to your foreign forefathers who have no right to the land of our homeland Palestine, and until [US President Donald] Trump, who promised you to destroy our spirit, our culture, and our identity when he realized his promise to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of your state… Jewish Israelis, what you need to know is that Great Britain scorned your human value when it used your forefathers as a colonial pawn in the region. That is what Balfour did, who whispered to you unprecedented hatred and prevented you from seeking refuge in Britain during the period when you fled from the rest of Europe. All Balfour did was to export your problem to our land, and colonialist Britain did indeed succeed in using you. Today, Donald Trump is using you so that he will be able to execute his colonialist agenda."

Fatah and PLO official says the Balfour Declaration “still inspires the occupation to continue the acts of ethnic cleansing and eliminating the Palestinian presence”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Nov. 3, 2018
Headline: “On the 101st anniversary of the Balfour Promise: demanding that Britain correct the historical error”

“The Palestinian National Council (i.e., the legislative body of the PLO) demanded that Britain recognize the Palestinian state whose capital is Jerusalem and the return of the refugees to their homes according to the decisions of the international bodies.
In a statement for the 101st anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, the Palestinian National Council again emphasized its demand that the British government act to correct the historical error that it committed when it deceitfully gave the Jews a right to establish a homeland for themselves in Palestine, as part of a historical precedent of injustice, ethnic cleansing, aggression, and violation of the principles of international law…
PLO Executive Committee Secretary Saeb Erekat emphasized that our people, wherever it is located – in the homeland, in the diaspora, and in the refugee camps – will remain fortified in its historical right to self-determination on its land and will not leave, regardless of the price…
He added: ‘Over 100 years ago, Britain facilitated the process of the ethnic cleansing of Palestine, and with blatant contempt for the global principles of justice, it celebrated this “event” last year and adhered to and took pride in its colonialist error and its denial of our Palestinian people’s rights. Unfortunately, the Balfour Promise (i.e., Declaration) still inspires the occupation to continue the acts of ethnic cleansing and eliminating the Palestinian presence, alongside the unlimited support of the American administration and its peace team in eliminating the Palestinian cause and redefining it according to a modern colonialist criterion.’”

Saeb Erekat also serves as Fatah Central Committee member and PLO Chief Negotiator.
Fatah Movement: “the Balfour Promise was tantamount to the elimination of the Palestinian national identity”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Nov. 2, 2018
Headline: “The factions on the anniversary of the ominous Balfour [Promise]: The Palestinian right will not be revoked, not by Balfour's promises nor those of Trump”

“The Fatah Movement again emphasized that the Balfour Promise (i.e., Declaration) is a historic crime, and a crime of the elimination of the Palestinian people’s political and humanitarian rights in broad daylight. It also demanded that Britain recognize the independent and sovereign State of Palestine whose capital is Jerusalem, as a first sign of a practical apology for the crime that it committed 100 years ago.
In a Fatah statement that was published by the [Fatah] Commission of Information, Culture, and Ideology for the 101st anniversary of the Balfour Promise that occurs every year on November 2, it was stated: ‘The Palestinian people believes in its historical and natural right to its homeland of Palestine, and that the colonialist logic of force that imposed the Balfour Promise and led to the establishment of the colonialist settlement entity on our land will not remain forever.’
Fatah added in its statement: ‘The world understands along with us that the Balfour Promise was tantamount to the elimination of the Palestinian national identity in broad daylight, and did not rely on any legal justification according to international law. We considered and still consider it the basis of the conflict in Palestine, and the beginning of the Palestinian people’s humanitarian tragedy and suffering and the creation of the refugees’ issue.’”

The Balfour Declaration of Nov. 2, 1917 was a letter from British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour to Baron Rothschild stating that “His Majesty's government views with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people.”

Abbas: “The Martyrs and their families are sacred, [so are] the wounded and the prisoners. We must pay all of them”
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Oct. 28, 2018

PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas:
"I say this to everyone – the salaries of our Martyrs, prisoners, and wounded are a red line. They [Israel] try by all means, and exert pressure by all means, and they continue to exert: 'It cannot be that you will pay.' And they’ll even deduct our money that’s in their hands. They’ll deduct from it the amount that we pay to the Martyrs. We have said that this is a red line and we will not allow [it]. From 1965 until now, this matter is sacred to us. The Martyrs and their families are sacred, [and so are] the wounded and the prisoners. We must pay all of them. If one penny remains in our hands it is for them and not for the living."

Palestinian student movement workshop named after terrorist teaches youth about the “ominous Balfour Promise”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 26, 2018
“The Fatah Movement’s Qalqilya branch held a workshop yesterday [Oct. 25, 2018] for the [Fatah] Shabiba Student Movement and for the staff training and preparation committee regarding the history of Palestine, the Nakba (i.e., “the catastrophe,” the Palestinian term for the establishment of the State of Israel), the displacement, and the establishment of the [Fatah] Movement, under the name ‘Martyr Abu Ali Iyad Workshop,’ at the branch’s official building in Qalqilya…
During the workshop the guides surveyed the history of the Palestinian cause, and particularly the ominous Balfour Promise (i.e., Declaration) in 1917, which led to the establishment of the Israeli entity on the land of Palestine and the expulsion of its [Arab] residents to exile.”

The article includes an image from the workshop. The poster on the wall behind the guides features a picture of former PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat on the left, PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas on the right, and in the middle is the Fatah logo that includes a grenade, crossed rifles, and the PA map of “Palestine” that presents all of Israel as “Palestine” together with the PA areas.

Abu Ali Iyad was appointed head of Fatah military operations in 1966 and was responsible for several terror attacks. The attacks included a bombing in the town of Beit Yosef in northern Israel on April 25, 1966 (injuring 3 people), and placing bombs in the town of Margaliot in northern Israel on July 19, 1966. He was killed in 1971 in Jordan by the Jordanian army when it forced Fatah members out of the country.

PLO attacks US anti-terror law
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 12, 2018
“The [PLO] Executive Committee condemned the fact that US President Donald Trump ratified the war on terror law, in whose framework any American citizen can sue any external body that he accuses of terror, supporting terror, or responsibility for any act of terror – which requires a comprehensive reexamination of the acceptance of aid from the US to Palestine (it is unclear whether the US or the PA should reexamine the acceptance of aid.” The US law referred to is from early October 2018 which allows US courts to seize assets from entities receiving foreign aid, enabling American terror victims to sue the PA –Ed.).”
PLO calls US President Trump’s Middle East peace plan “humorous and dubious,” says one of the goals of the Palestinian national project is “the release of all of the prisoners”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 12, 2018
Headline: “The [PLO] Executive Committee emphasized its absolute rejection of the plan to divide the Gaza Strip from the West Bank and Jerusalem”

“The PLO Executive Committee emphasized its absolute rejection of the plan to divide the Gaza Strip from the West Bank and East Jerusalem, and considered this the fulcrum of the humorous and dubious ‘deal of the century’ (refers to US President Donald Trump’s as yet unpublished Middle East peace plan –Ed.) and of the racist [Jewish] nation-state law, whose goal is to destroy the Palestinian national project – a project that is expressed by the realization of the independence of the sovereign State of Palestine, whose capital is East Jerusalem, in the June 4, 1967 borders, a resolution of all the final status issues, including the issue of the refugees according to UN Resolution 194, and the release of all of the prisoners.”

Jewish Nation-State Law – law passed by the Israeli Parliament on July 19, 2018, which codifies in Israel's Basic Law that Israel is the home of the Jewish nation with Jerusalem its capital, and the Hebrew calendar its official calendar. It establishes Hebrew as the sole official language and grants Arabic a special status, and it recognizes Jewish and Israeli holidays, memorial days, and the Jewish Sabbath as national holidays and days of rest - while guaranteeing the right of all Israeli citizens and residents to celebrate their holidays and days of rest. The law, which passed with 62 in favor, 55 against, and 2 abstentions, has sparked controversy within Israeli society.

Editorial in official PA daily rejoices at the news of US Ambassador Haley leaving her post, calling her the “the most ugly, arrogant, and conceited racist voice”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 11, 2018
Excerpt of an editorial of the official PA daily

Headline: “Bye bye, Haley”

“Whether US Ambassador to the UN [Nikki] Haley quit or was fired – and that is the more reasonable option – the house of international legitimacy [the UN] is finally rid of the most ugly, arrogant, and conceited racist voice…
In effect, Haley was nothing more than a source of tension at the UN, and what is more – a source that incites to more violence and aggression, especially regarding her frantic defense of Israel, whose army snipes at children on the Gaza border (apparently refers to defensive measures against violent March of Return protests; see note below –Ed.)! We have no doubt that the house of international legitimacy is living in a relaxed atmosphere now…
The possibility that Haley was fired is more reasonable and logical than that she submitted her resignation of her own will because she ‘wants to rest.’ There are international political circles in which it is said that states with considerable importance in the international community advised the US to remove Haley from the UN. According to other news items, financial and administrative corruption by Haley and her differences of opinion with the [US] State Department are hiding behind the dismissal. Regardless of the situation, today Haley is out of history, which says to her: ‘Bye bye, Haley.’”

US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley announced her resignation on Oct. 9, 2018. The announcement was made in a joint briefing with US President Donald Trump, who said Haley had informed him of her decision to resign citing her desire “to take a break,” and that Haley’s resignation would take effect by the end of 2018.
