"Secretary-General of the [Palestinian] Popular Struggle Front and PLO Executive Committee member Ahmed Majdalani… said in a statement: 'The blatant American interference in states' affairs, as is happening in Venezuela, is a direct continuation of the policy of [US President Donald] Trump’s administration, whose goal is to usurp the will of the peoples.' He added that the principle of states' sovereignty and non-interference in their internal affairs is a democratic diplomatic norm, and that the coup attempt against the legitimacy of elected [Venezuelan] President Nicolás Maduro (Maduro's reelection in 2018 is not recognized by most of the international community, and the US and others have encouraged support for the opposition leader; see note below –Ed.) is worthy of condemnation, at a time when the entire world is calling for freedom and democracy, while the Trump administration is acting with 'political arrogance.' Majdalani continued: 'We are the greatest victims of the policy of the Trump administration, which has proven to the entire world that it does not protect human rights or democracy, but rather is acting as if it is the world's policeman that wants to impose agendas, take over peoples' resources, and steal their freedom.'"

Op-ed in PA daily supporting Saudi Arabia claims that the Arab Spring was meant to weaken the Arab states “in order to serve the Zionist entity and its racist terrorist leadership”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 21, 2018
Excerpt of an op-ed by Fawzi Ali Al-Samhouri

Headline: “Targeting Saudi Arabia – consequences and goals”
“As a result of what is called the Arab Spring, the capabilities of some Arab states were destroyed, with their infrastructures and their residents, and this was in order to serve the Zionist entity and its racist terrorist leadership. Therefore, it is impossible to separate the political, economic, and media attack against Saudi Arabia from the plans and plots being woven [to shape] the future of the region for the coming decades at the end of the first and second stages.  The first stage was characterized by geographical and ethnic division of some of the states, while the second stage was characterized by the destruction of both the infrastructures and the people. The third stage is targeting the wealthy states, the Gulf states. The attack against Saudi Arabia constitutes its opening sign and the jewel in its crown.”

Fatah: “Iran has not supported the Palestinian people at all through its support for Hamas”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, July 1, 2018
Headline: “Fatah responds to the demonstrators’ calls: Iran has not given the Palestinian people aid”
“The Fatah Movement condemned the cheap calls against the fighting Palestinian people, which were made by some Iranians who protested over the financial situation and wished for ‘death to the Palestinians.’ It wondered: ‘Do the Iranians think that their governments – the previous ones and the present one – have given a single penny to the Palestinian people? This is not true at all.’ Official Fatah Spokesman Osama Al-Qawasmi emphasized in a press release yesterday [June 30, 2018]: ‘It is shameful that there are those who think that the cause of the financial crisis in Iran is the support for the Palestinian people, because Iran has not given the Palestinian people anything. This is despite Fatah and the PLO standing alongside [Ayatollah] Khomeini’s revolution in 1979, and we have never harmed them – not with words and not with actions – and have never interfered in their internal matters.’”

PA daily op-ed calls attack on Syrian chemical weapon facilities “barbaric,” accuses an “Anglo-Saxon-Israeli colonialist plot” of being behind violence in the region
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Apr. 15, 2018
Excerpt of an op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, regular columnist for the official PA daily

"The US, Britain, and France – and by implication Israel too – perpetrated an imperialist and barbaric act of aggression against the Arab republic of Syria. Warships launched 110 missiles from the Mediterranean Sea towards several civilian and military targets (sic., three chemical weapon facilities were attacked) in Syrian territories, but the criminal attack was a resounding failure and did not succeed in achieving any of its political goals, and its message arrived weak and wretched.
However, the problem was not the scope and level of the message, but a problem of principle – a violation of the sovereignty of an independent state and UN member. The attacking states did not receive any mandate from the UN for the attack in Syria. The talk about the use of chemical weapons against the Syrian civilians in Douma on April 7 [2018] is a big outright lie... The regime does not bear sole responsibility for the present situation; the Anglo-Saxon-Israeli colonialist plot and its mercenary Takfiri (i.e., A Muslim who accuses other Muslims of heresy, referring to organizations such as ISIS and Al-Qaeda) pawns are the most responsible for Syria's present situation."
