Palestinian journalist quotes Arafat about Oslo Accords: “I promise you that you will see the Jews fleeing from Palestine like mice fleeing from a sinking ship,” accuses Israel of poisoning Arafat
Source: Rai Al-Youm, independent Arab news website, Sept. 13, 2018
Article by Abd Al-Bari Atwan, Palestinian journalist and editor of the online newspaper Rai Al-Yawm:

“I remember that he [former PLO and PA President Yasser Arafat] took me aside when we left his office in the Jugurtha neighborhood of Tunis – on the pretext of going out for a walk and in order to get away from the listening devices – and he told me: ‘I want to tell you something that I ask you not to note or attribute to me, except after my death.’ He let out a sigh and said: ‘I am entering Palestine through the door of Oslo, despite all of my reservations, in order to return the PLO and the resistance to it, and I promise you that you will see the Jews fleeing from Palestine like mice fleeing from a sinking ship. This will not happen in my lifetime, but it will happen in your lifetime.’ He confirmed to me that he did not believe the Jews at all, and I swear that he spoke the truth…
President Arafat achieved the Martyrdom-death (Shahada) that he hoped for through Israeli poison (sic., this libel has been disproven by medical teams).... he brought about the outbreak of the second armed Intifada (i.e., PA terror campaign 2000-2005). He brought weapons from every possible place, and I know very well that he cooperated with and supported the Jihad fighters of the Hamas Movement in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank with money and weapons.”

Fatah official implies Arafat returned to Israel for Oslo Accords in order to fight against Israel
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 26, 2016
“[Fatah Central Committee member and Fatah Commissioner for Arab and China Relations Abbas] Zaki noted the pressure applied by the US against the late leader Yasser Arafat in order to harm his determination and make him concede to the Zionist project; however Arafat returned to the homeland in order to complete the path under the slogan ‘Millions of Martyrs (Shahids) are marching to Jerusalem.’”
Arafat’s bodyguard confirms: Arafat lied when he condemned killing civilians
Source: BBC Arabic YouTube channel, Apr. 1, 2014

Arafat's bodyguard Muhammad Dayeh: I suckled love for Arafat from my mother's milk. We love Arafat passionately.
TV host: [Former Israeli PM Ariel] Sharon called Arafat a pathological liar, and many politicians who knew Arafat say he excelled at lying.
Bodyguard: [Our] religion permits lying in three cases: to settle between two people - religion allows you [to lie] in order to settle between two people.
TV host: For reconciliation.
Bodyguard: Someone whose wife isn't pretty, [can] say, 'You're the most beautiful woman in the world'; and the third [case] is in politics - you can lie.
TV host: Do you agree with this?
Bodyguard: Yes, yes.
TV host: He would lie in front of you.
Bodyguard: Yes. Arafat, yes. For example, whenever an operation (i.e., terror attack) was carried out in Tel Aviv, Arafat would go out and say [he condemned it] - of course, after pressure. First and foremost [from Egyptian] President Mubarak. He would call brother Arafat and tell him: "Brother Arafat, go and condemn it, they'll screw you." [Arafat] would tell him: "But Mr. President, I have Martyrs - they [Israel] destroyed us, they massacred us." [Mubarak] would tell him: "Brother Arafat, go and condemn [it]. They'll screw you." Brother Arafat would go and condemn it in his special way: I am against killing civilians - and that wasn't true.

Official PA daily: Arafat employed 'revolving door' policy of releasing terrorists soon after their arrest
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 18, 2014
Headline: “The Palestinian-Israeli ‎Negotiations: The Essence of the Solution,” ‎by Adel Abd Al-Rahman, columnist for ‎official PA daily
‎“The occupation forces have turned to ‎the ‘revolving door’ policy,” the policy that ‎Martyr (Shahid) Yasser Arafat established ‎the other way around, when, under the ‎pressure of security coordination with ‎Israel, he arrested Palestinian fighters and ‎released them soon after. For whenever ‎they [Israel] free prisoners, after much effort ‎‎[on our part], they come back soon and ‎arrest them again, one after the other, ‎along with hundreds of others. ‎Furthermore, they are now turning to [the ‎policy of] killing some of them with the ‎excuse that they were resisting arrest.‎
The world convened the ‘Geneva 1’ ‎international convention over Syria… and ‎why shouldn’t the Palestinians have their ‎own ‘Geneva’? ... Yet turning to the UN or ‎convening a ‘Palestinian Geneva’ does not ‎mean giving up the program of struggle for ‎the land through popular resistance – ‎‎[resistance which is,] at this stage, ‎peaceful, but which leaves the path open ‎for the various [other] forms of resistance in ‎the future. For whatever is not achieved by ‎peaceful means will be achieved by other ‎means.”‎
Arafat planned that Oslo Accords would chase away Israelis
Source: Arabic News Broadcast TV, London-based, Feb. 16, 2006
Al-Quds al-Arabi Editor-in-Chief, Abd al-Bari 'Atwan:
"After the Oslo Accords were signed, I went to Tunisia to visit him [Arafat] in July. I told him: 'We disagree. I don't support this agreement. It will harm us.'
[Arafat] told me: 'By Allah, I will drive them crazy. I will make these [Oslo] Accords a disaster for them [Israel]. It won't be in my lifetime, but you will see the Israelis run away from Palestine. Have a little patience.'
The Al-Aqsa Brigades [Fatah terrorist wing] were founded and armed by him [Arafat] as a reply, as a counterweight to the historic mistake of the Oslo Accords."

Arafat in 1994: Oslo Accords will eventually cause Jews to flee Palestine "by the thousands"
Source: Al-Quds Al-Arabi (London newspaper), Nov. 19, 2004
Headline: “These are my personal impressions of Yasser Arafat: The story of the meeting that lasted a few minutes with the prince of Quwait after the invasion – the oath of Hafez Al-Assad – and the true opinion of Arab leaders”
“I admit that I was very close to the Palestinian president, Yasser Arafat, but the period when I was close to him was at the height of his lean years, particularly the period of the first Gulf War and after it (i.e., from 1990)… I remember I met with him in his office in the Tunisian capital at the end of June in 1994, a few days before his return to the Gaza Strip, and he was isolated and broken… Arafat said to me at 3:00 a.m.: ‘Listen, Abd Al-Bari, I know that you are against the Oslo Accords, but always remember what I’m telling you – the day will come when you will see Jews fleeing Palestine by the thousands. I will not see it in my lifetime, but you will certainly see it in your lifetime. The Oslo Accords will help bring this about.' [...] President Arafat is the one who established the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, in response to the cancellation he was dealing with after the failure of the Camp David Talks..."

PLO did not amend PLO Charter which calls for Israel's destruction, as agreed to in the Oslo Accords
Source: Private recording, Apr. 24, 1996
Historic vote of Palestinian National Council meant to fulfill PLO obligation under Oslo Accords to amend articles in PLO Charter calling for Israel's destruction:

Before vote:
Salim Za'noun, Chairman of meeting: "[Goal of vote is] an extension of 6 months… and then the Central Committee will discuss it [amending the articles]."
"I want to tell you before the voting begins that the judicial committee, when I attended it, was totally convinced, with a majority of 43 out of 44 members, that we must fulfill the commitment demanded of us [by Oslo Accords] at the lowest possible cost. Therefore, it was said, if we amend those articles [calling for Israel's destruction] whose amendment is demanded [by Oslo Accords] it will mean that we have paid a very high price. Putting forth a new proposal for the national charter is less damaging than the first thing [amending articles].
After the vote:
Marwan Kanafani, Arafat spokesman: "It's not an amendment. It is a license to start a new, to found a new resolution, a new charter."

Arafat compares Oslo Accords to Muhammad's temporary agreement
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Apr. 16, 1995
"When the Prophet made the peace of Hudaybiya, [Muhammad's followers] Omar Ibn al Khattab and Ali Ibn Abi Talib said: "How can we accept an agreement like that?" "How can we accept such humiliation of our religion, Oh, Messenger of Allah?" And when we signed the agreement in Oslo if anyone has an objection to that agreement, I have a hundred."

Note: Arafat compares the Oslo Accords with the Hudaybiya Pact, a ten-year peace treaty signed by Muhammad with the tribes of Mecca when his army was weak. Two-years later when Muhammad’s army was stronger he went and conquered Mecca.
Yasser Arafat denounces the Oslo accords
Source: Private recording, May 10, 1994
Speech by Yasser Arafat, Johannesburg:
"This agreement, I am not considering it more than the agreement which had been signed between our Prophet Muhammad and Quraish, and you remember the Caliph Omar had refused this agreement and considered it "Sulha Dania" [a despicable truce]. But Muhammad had accepted it and we are accepting now this [Oslo] peace accord."  Click here to view
