Demonization of Jews/Israelis
Jews/Israelis are evil
Demonization of Jews/Israelis
Since the Palestinian Authority was established it has systematically indoctrinated young and old to hate Israelis and Jews. Using media, education, and cultural structures that it controls, the PA has actively promoted religious hatred, demonization, conspiracy libels, etc. These are packaged to present Israelis and Jews as endangering Palestinians, Arabs, and all humanity. This ongoing campaign has so successfully instilled hatred that fighting, murder and even suicide terror against Israelis and Jews are seen by the majority of Palestinians as justified self-defense and as Allah’s will. The PA presents Jews as possessing inherently evil traits. Jews are said to be treacherous, corrupt, deceitful and unfaithful by nature. These Jewish “attributes” and traditions are presented as the unchangeable nature of Jews. Forgeries and fiction masquerading as history are used to document and support the libel that Judaism is in essence racist and evil. Jews are said to be planning and executing heinous crimes, including burning Palestinians in ovens, murder, using prisoners for Nazi-like experiments, and more. If unchecked, these crimes constitute a mortal danger, not only to all Muslims and Arabs but to all of humanity.

The PA assigns responsibility to the Jews for all the problems in the world: Wars, conflicts and civil wars are all said to be triggered by Jews. Indeed, the oppression suffered by Jews throughout history is presented as the legitimate response of nations seeking revenge for the injury caused them by the Jews living among them. The creation of the State of Israel is said to have been a European plot, in order to be rid of their Jews and save Europe from the evil of Jewish presence in their countries.

The following are examples of Palestinian demonization:
Jews/Israelis are evil

PA Foreign Minister: “The forces of evil have united in the framework of an extermination operation, beginning with the elimination of our achievements… drying up the sources of our survival and waging a war against us”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Mar. 4, 2019
Headline: “Al-Malki: The forces of evil have united to eliminate our achievements and break our determination”
“[PA] Minister of Foreign Affairs [and Expatriates] Riyad Al-Malki said: ‘We, the Palestinian people, are standing before a threat to our existence, a threat to our survival as a people, as a nation, as an entity, as a state, and as a [national] liberation project. The forces of evil have united in the framework of an extermination operation, beginning with the elimination of our achievements, a blow to our image, weakening us, drying up the sources of our survival (apparently refers to implementation of Israel’s Anti “Pay-for-Slay” Law to deduct terrorist salaries; see note below –Ed.), and waging a war against us on anything and everything. This is in order to eliminate our national enterprise and prevent the establishment of the independent Palestinian state that is sustainable, territorially contiguous, and sovereign within the June 4, 1967 borders, whose capital is East Jerusalem.’ During the opening of the discussions of the annual meeting of ambassadors of the State of Palestine in Europe, which was held in Istanbul, Turkey, Al-Malki added… that the liberation of Palestine is the liberation of the world from injustice.”

PA Education minister heads “Committee to Fight Israeli Incitement… against the Palestinian people, its national curricula, and its institutions, and particularly the educational institutions”

The participants in the meeting emphasized… that it is important to continue to fight the Israeli propaganda and debunk it through the media, international human rights organizations, and relevant bodies.”

Op-ed: Israel law is “a reflection of the principle of theft and robbery as the Israeli regime’s MO since the establishment of the first armed Jewish terrorist organization, but also... of the imperialist state that sponsors Israel (i.e., the US)"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Feb. 19, 2019
Excerpt of an op-ed by Muwaffaq Matar, Fatah Revolutionary Council member and regular columnist for the official PA daily

“The occupation government’s decision to implement the law to deduct and freeze money that the Palestinian government pays to the families of the Martyrs (Shahids) and the prisoners… is not only a reflection of the principle of theft and robbery as the Israeli regime’s modus operandi since the establishment of the first armed Jewish terrorist organization, but also a natural reflection of the modus operandi of the imperialist state that sponsors Israel (i.e., the US)… The [Israeli] Cabinet’s decision, on the other hand, is a reflection of a modus operandi of expulsion, settlement, and colonialist occupation, which the white settler invaders implemented on the American continent when they eliminated the original residents, the Indians, by murderous means… The goal here is to make the Palestinian people without identity and without a homeland, without land and an address, and this in itself is the greatest crime of theft in history, exceeding the crime of exterminating the Indians… and the Palestinian who is prevented from returning to his home and land… is killed a thousand times today, at a time when there are human rights laws in the world.”

Editorial in PA daily supports Abbas’ stance against US, tax cuts: “Palestine's money will go first to its sons, to the Martyrs and prisoners, Israeli-US policy is "delusion of the despicable racist arrogance”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Feb. 19, 2019
Excerpt of editorial by the official PA daily

"The American administration will resort to harsher and graver pressure against [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas so that he will accept [US President Donald] Trump's Zionist deal (i.e., referring to Trump's as yet unpublished Middle East peace plan), and we are relating to this and emphasizing it because the Israeli decision to steal the Palestinian tax money today [Feb. 19, 2019] (referring to implementation of Israeli law to deduct terror salaries from PA tax money; see note below –Ed.) is nothing but an American decision basically, and President Mahmoud Abbas knows this… The American administration must understand once and for all that President Mahmoud Abbas will not be like Faust who made a pact with the devil after selling his soul to him, because the believing soul of President Mahmoud Abbas is the soul of Palestine, which is not for sale or to be bargained over… Palestine's money will go first to its sons, to the Martyrs (Shahids) and prisoners. 'If we have only one penny left, it will go to these righteous people' – this is President Mahmoud Abbas' firm decision, from which he will not retreat in any way… The American-Israeli theft of Palestine's money is nothing but a delusion of the despicable racist arrogance..."

PA daily op-ed: "The fact that Trump took Israel's fence as a model [for proposed Mexico wall] confirms once again how Zionist this president is… and also the racism and denial of the other that he contains"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Feb. 17, 2019
Excerpt of op-ed by Bassem Barhoum, regular columnist for the official PA daily

Headline: "Israel and Trump's fences are racist"
"We would be silent about the wall that American President [Donald Trump] will build on the border with Mexico and for which he declared an emergency situation. We would be silent and consider this an internal affair if Trump had not taken the racist Israeli occupation fence as an example of a successful model! And the moment Trump entered our territory, as they say, it is now our right too to respond to his racist and arrogant wall.
The fact that Trump took Israel's fence as a model confirms once again how Zionist this president is and how saturated he is with the Zionist project and believes in it, and also the racism and denial of the other that he contains within him. This president has an unprecedented insistence on the American policy and its bias in favor of and blind siding with the Zionist colonialism..."

PA daily editorial attacks Israeli cut to PA tax transfers; accuses Israelis of inciting to assassinate Abbas
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Feb. 12, 2019
Excerpt of editorial by the official PA daily

“The American-Israeli war against the Palestinian legitimacy, its leadership, and its national release project is growing stronger and escalating: The theft of the Palestinian tax money (referring to Israeli law to deduct terror salaries from PA tax money; see note below –Ed.) not just to tighten the financial siege on the PA, but also in order to harm the symbols of our souls, our national memory, and the history of our struggle – our Martyrs (Shahids) and prisoners whose money Israel is stealing on the pretext of deducting their salaries (rawatib). There is also the ongoing criminal Zionist settler incitement against [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas in order to assassinate and eliminate him (apparently referring to the Derech Haim Movement’s campaign and the demonstrations it organized in Tel Aviv following the brutal murder of Ori Ansbacher; see notes below –Ed.).”

Editorial in PA daily criticizes “those [Palestinians] who are still placing our children’s lives in danger from the Israeli killing bullets through their populist displays”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Feb. 11, 2019
Excerpt of editorial by the official PA daily

"The Israeli occupation soldiers shoot at our children only because they want to murder the Palestinian future, or to make them disabled if we choose the less racist option – and the problem is 'the leaders of the resistance' in the wounded Gaza Strip do not understand this! […] We are not absolving the Israeli occupation of responsibility for this matter, as it is continuing the criminal persecution of our children in order to destroy their tender lives… However, just as we pursue the occupation, so too there is no choice but to pursue those who are still placing our children’s lives in danger from the Israeli killing bullets through their populist displays. We must not be silent any longer about this matter. Palestine has the right that its children will learn and grow in order to be pillars of the future of freedom and independence, and the children in Palestine have the right to be protected and defended by it [Palestine] so that they will live their lives in happiness."

"You've announced that you won't participate [in the Warsaw Conference], and described it as a knife in the back..."
Senior Fatah official Jibril Rajoub: "[If] there will be cocktail parties and toasts with [Israeli Prime Minister] Netanyahu and the Arabs we will indeed view it as a mistake and a knife [in the back]... They are welcoming Netanyahu in Warsaw in order to remind us of the Holocaust and Auschwitz. In every city in Palestine, from Rafah to Jenin, there is an Israeli Auschwitz to massacre Palestinians."

PA Education Ministry: “The occupation's schoolbooks are full of incitement, as opposed to the Palestinian schoolbooks, which educate the students to love life, knowledge, creativity, entrepreneurship, and other lofty values”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Feb. 3, 2019
“The [PA] Ministry of Education and Higher Education yesterday [Feb. 2, 2019] exposed a new frantic Israeli campaign, whose goal is to harm the national Palestinian [PA] curriculum, and to stain it with incitement. The ministry explained in a statement that this campaign is taking place as part of the occupation’s plans to stop the international aid to the Palestinian education sector, on the pretext of incitement in the curriculum, and in a way that targets additional resources of the State of Palestine. The ministry noted that the occupation is investing millions of shekels – which have been paid to Zionist institutions led by former Mossad (Israeli Secret Intelligence Service) agents and reserve duty or retired generals – in order to attack the Palestinian curriculum and harm it. The ministry explained… that they are attempting to stain the Palestinian curriculum with incitement by inventing unfounded pretexts and excuses."

Abbas and Fatah official accuse Israel of inciting against the Palestinian leadership and attempting to assassinate Abbas, “as they poisoned” Arafat
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 15, 2019
"In his response to the Israeli threats and to the settlers’ incitement to murder him, the president recently told members of the press in Cairo: ‘They can kill me in my home with bullets or with a missile at any given moment. They can also kill me with poison, as they poisoned the late [PLO Chairman and PA] President Yasser Arafat (sic., scientific teams have debunked this conspiracy; see note below) and killed [Palestine Liberation] Organization leaders in the past – but I will not surrender. Life is in Allah's hands, and even if they kill me, it will not solve their problems.'
President [Abbas’] advisor on Foreign Affairs [and International Relations] Nabil Shaath said: 'The Israeli incitement against President Abbas that is increasing these days is very similar to what happened to Martyr (Shahid) President Yasser Arafat, as the two leaders acted in the same way facing the pressures and refused to renounce our people’s legitimate rights.' He added: 'We are all potential Martyrs; we will continue to stand firm and will not surrender in order to save ourselves.'
Shaath noted that President Abbas is repeatedly saying in his meetings abroad that 'he will not betray his cause and will not renounce Jerusalem and the refugees' right [of return].''"

Abbas’ advisor: “Israel and Hamas incite against [Abbas] morning and night, challenge his legitimacy, and want to assassinate him”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 14, 2019
“Supreme Shari’ah Judge of Palestine and [PA] President [Mahmoud Abbas’] advisor on Religious and Islamic Affairs Mahmoud Al-Habbash said that there is suspicious and dangerous coordination between the statements of the occupation state’s leaders and the statements of the Hamas Movement’s leaders on all that is connected to an attack on [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas. The former talks in the occupation government’s Cabinet about the ways of getting rid of him (apparently refers to Israeli Minister of Public Security Gilad Erdan saying on Jan. 13, 2019 that Israel should not allow Abbas to return after he travels abroad –Ed.), as they did to the late [PA] President Martyr (Shahid) Yasser Arafat (refers to PA libel that Israel assassinated Arafat; see note below –Ed.); while the latter [Hamas] writes to the parliaments of the world’s states and claims that [Abbas] should have his legal qualifications [to serve as president] revoked…  The supreme Shari’ah judge emphasized that this coordination of statements and the attack on the Palestinian leadership led by the president is not coincidental, because both Israel and Hamas incite against the president morning and night, challenge his legitimacy, and want to assassinate him.”

Fatah: Controversial art piece featuring Jesus in Haifa museum was part of Israel’s “attacks” and “racism” against Christian and Muslim Palestinians
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 13, 2019
Headline: “Fatah in Bethlehem: What happened in Haifa is an insult to all religions”
“The Fatah Movement’s Bethlehem branch emphasized its opposition to the offense to Jesus and the Virgin Mary, and viewed what happened in Haifa (i.e., referring to the Sacred Goods exhibit in Haifa which includes a sculpture of a crucified Ronald McDonald, and other sculptures and pictures incorporating crucifixions and other elements of the Christian religion –Ed.) as an insult to all religions. In a press release yesterday [Jan. 12, 2019], the [Fatah] Movement condemned the ‘offense to the Christian religious symbols with offensive images and statues that was carried out and is still being carried out in sight of the occupation government.’
The movement blessed the members of our people in Haifa, Muslims and Christians alike, who went out to demonstrate in condemnation of this offense and were attacked by the occupation police (sic., Israeli police prevented protesters from breaking into the museum, after which the protesters then threw rocks and wounded three officers). It emphasized that the occupation state is continuing its racism, its attacks, and the theft of our waqf (i.e., an inalienable religious endowment in Islamic law) and our sites that are holy to Islam and Christianity.”

“The participants in a conference that was held yesterday evening [Jan. 5, 2019] at the Jebus Cultural Center in Jerusalem emphasized the importance of the Christian presence and its role in strengthening the Arab presence in Jerusalem…
The speakers at the conference emphasized… that the Christians are not a community or tribe, but rather the salt of the earth, and that they have fulfilled a role in the activity for liberation in the footsteps of fighter [former Greek Catholic] Archbishop [of Jerusalem Hilarion] Capucci (i.e., smuggled weapons to Palestinian terrorists)… Archbishop of Sebastia Atallah Hanna… criticized the discourse of exclusion and accusation of heresy [within Palestinian society], from which the colonialists who want our division are profiting... He said: ‘The amount of Christians in Jesus’ birthplace [Palestine] stands today at 1%. Over a million Christians have emigrated from Iraq, and over half a million Christians from Syria. The occupation is attempting to uproot the Christians from Palestine, and therefore we must act to strengthen the Christian presence in Jesus’ birthplace.’”
