“Three [Palestinian] civilians, among them a girl, died yesterday [Nov. 22, 2015] as Martyrs shot by occupation forces and settlers in Nablus, Al-Khan Al-Ahmar, and at the Gush Etzion junction, south of Bethlehem… this while a 20-year-old settler was killed at the Gush Etzion junction after she was stabbed, according to the Israeli police version.
The [PA] Ministry of Health announced yesterday [Nov. 22, 2015] the death as a Martyr of young Issam Ahmad Thawabteh, 31, from the village of Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem, shot by Israeli occupation forces at the junction of the settlement Gush Etzion. The ministry added in its press release that the occupation forces shot the young Thawabteh at the junction of the settlement, causing his immediate death as a Martyr. Likewise, the occupation forces yesterday killed the girl Ashraqat Taha Ahmad Qatanani, 16, from Nablus, at the Hawara junction, south of the city [Nablus], and they also killed the young Shadi Khasib, in his 30s, in the Al-Khan Al-Ahmar area, on the road leading to Jericho. The Palestinian government stated in a notice that Israel is carrying out illegal murder operations ‘by blaming any victim of its crimes of carrying knives, or by throwing a knife by their side after they have died as a Martyr.’
What happened yesterday with the Martyr girl Ashraqat shows the monstrosity of the occupation and its settlers’ crimes as a settler rammed his car into the girl, and afterward the army shot her. The army reiterated its usual claim that the Palestinian tried to carry out a stabbing operation, at a junction south of Nablus, without defining who the target of this operation was, and [said] that ‘the Israeli forces and one of the passersby responded to the immediate threat by shooting the attacker.’
The settler Gershon Mesika said that he attacked the girl with his car before a soldier shot her. He added to an Israeli radio station: “I saw the terrorist chasing a boy (sic., she was chasing a girl)… I saw that she was holding a knife. I quickly turned my car to the right and attacked her. She fell, and afterwards a soldier came and killed her,’ according to his [Mesika’s] version."
Ashraqat Taha Ahmad Qatanani - 18-year-old female Palestinian terrorist who attempted to stab an Israeli girl, running after her with a drawn knife, on Nov. 22, 2015, at a junction near Nablus. Former head of the Samaria regional council Gershon Mesika foiled her attempt by running his car into her when he saw her attempted attack. Israeli soldiers then shot Qatanani. The PA reported that she died of her injuries, but this has not been officially confirmed.
Issam Ahmad Thawabteh - 34-year-old Palestinian terrorist who on Nov. 22, 2015, stabbed 21-year-old Israeli Hadas Buchris to death at the Gush Etzion junction. Thawabteh was shot at the scene by an Israeli soldier and died of his wounds.
Shadi Khasib - Palestinian terrorist who tried to ram his taxi into a group of people at the Kfar Adumim junction, on the highway between Jerusalem and the Dead Sea, on Nov. 22, 2015. When this failed, he got out of his taxi and stabbed and injured a 51-year-old Israeli. He was shot and killed by a civilian at the scene.
