PA Ministry of Foreign Affairs attacks US Ambassador to the UN for being "hostile," Israel carried out "genocide" against the Palestinians

Headline: “The [PA] Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates: The US representative to the UN’s position is hostile and refuses to learn lessons”
“In a statement yesterday [July 8, 2017], the [PA] Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates criticized the US Permanent Representative to the UN Nikki Haley following the vote in UNESCO (UN Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization) on Friday [July 7, 2017] on adding the Old City [of Hebron] and the Ibrahimi Mosque (i.e., Cave of the Patriarchs) to the World Heritage List (See note below –Ed.). The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in its statement: ‘When we published the first statement, we tried to respond in a diplomatic manner to the American ambassador to the UN, because she lacks diplomatic experience and has a superficial knowledge of international affairs and in the field of history and conflicts. We tried to dissuade her from her infinite arrogance in her arbitrary attitude toward world affairs, her harming of the Palestinian rights, and demonstrating intentional and unjustified hatred towards everything Palestinian, [which she does] in an attempt to prove her unlimited loyalty to Israel, perhaps in the hopes of being elected to a new role.’...The ministry noted that amid the celebration of the success in adding the Old City and Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron to the World Heritage List, ...the American representative insisted on her position and published an additional hostile statement, which refuses to learn lessons from this incident...The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates emphasized that it will not comment on any statement or attempt to blackmail, threaten, or exert pressure in the hopes that those who have placed themselves against our people and our cause will learn a lesson...
[PA] Deputy Minister of Information Mahmoud Khalifa said that Haley’s position regarding the UNESCO resolution is blind bias in favor of the occupation, deviation from the political conventions, and an attempt to write a new history packed with lies and fraud...He called on Haley to read the history and dedicate a lot of time to the Nakba of 1948 (i.e., “the catastrophe,” Palestinian term for the establishment of the State of Israel), when ethnic cleansing was committed in broad daylight, our people underwent genocide (sic), and Palestinian cities and villages were completely erased.”

UNESCO (UN Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization) passed a resolution in Krakow, Poland, on July 7, 2017, submitted by the Permanent Delegation of Palestine to the UN, inscribing the Old City of Hebron - which includes the Cave of the Patriarchs, where the Jewish Patriarchs and Matriarchs are buried - on the World Heritage List, acknowledging it as a Palestinian heritage site. It also inscribed it on the List of World Heritage in Danger, stating that it "considers that the property is faced with serious threats which could have deleterious effects on its inherent characteristics and for which an immediate action by the World Heritage Committee is needed," said threats apparently coming from the Israeli military control of the area. The resolution was passed in a secret ballot with 12 countries voting in favor, 3 against, and 6 abstaining. This resolution is one of many UNESCO resolutions that are frequently passed condemning Israel, particularly regarding Jerusalem.
