Libel: Israel murders and poisons
Libels
Since the Palestinian Authority was established it has systematically indoctrinated young and old to hate Israelis and Jews. Using media, education, and cultural structures that it controls, the PA has actively promoted religious hatred, demonization, conspiracy libels, etc. These are packaged to present Israelis and Jews as endangering Palestinians, Arabs, and all humanity. This ongoing campaign has so successfully instilled hatred that fighting, murder and even suicide terror against Israelis and Jews are seen by the majority of Palestinians as justified self-defense and as Allah’s will.

Throughout history bogus conspiracy accusations have been used to incite hatred, violence, and mass murder. The myriad conspiracy libels concerning Israel, Israelis and Jews are an integral part of the Palestinian Authority’s ongoing hate promotion. PA libels claim that Israel conspires to infect Palestinians with AIDS, spread drug addiction, conspired and successfully murdered Arafat, and more. The PA’s goal has been to inculcate hatred to the degree that fighting and murdering Jews and Israelis will be glorified as heroic self-defense.
Libel: Israel murders and poisons
Vicious libels about Israel and the Jews are an integral part of the Palestinian Authority’s strategy to infuse hate in the Palestinian population. Fabrications assert that Israel intentionally pursues children, poisoning candy and planting bombs inside toys to kill them, murders Palestinians in cold blood, and mutilates dead bodies. These and many other libels add to the ongoing demonization of the Jews, paving the way for acceptance of terrorism against Israel as legitimate self-defense and even as an ideal in itself.

This video depicts one libel, voiced by PA Mayor Mustafa Fuqah, contending that Israel makes weapons and ammunition disguised as toys because Israel wants to kill children.

PA Mayor Mustafa Fuqah:
"Some [explosives] are in different shapes. Some are shaped like pens, and some look like toys. Some are in different shapes to tempt children to touch them or pick them up. This is a real danger and real proof that the Israeli army targets children and young ones."

Fatah official’s reaction to Netanyahu’s call to fire him based on PMW exposure: “Our Palestinian people is the one being massacred daily by the Israelis”
Source: Donia Al-Watan (independent Palestinian news agency), July 16, 2016
Headline: “Abu Al-Einein minimized the importance of Netanyahu’s message to Abbas”
“[Advisor to PA Chaiman Abbas on NGOs and] Fatah Central Committee member Sultan Abu Al-Einein minimized the importance of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s message to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in which he called for peace. Abu Al-Einein stated in a press release, in response to Netanyahu’s demand that President Abbas fire him, that ‘our Palestinian people is the one being massacred daily by the Israelis at the direct order of the Israeli government without any deterrent.’ …
Abu Al-Einein emphasized that the presence of the settlers on Palestinian land is the main reason for the incitement in the Palestinian street, and added: ‘The whites in Africa did not relate to the blacks with the same racism like the settlers relate to our people, harassing it daily and stealing its land.’ He said: ‘It would be fitting if Netanyahu would stop spilling Palestinian blood and penetrating Palestinian territories, and would stop the settlement.’ Likewise, he noted that the occupation army has [made] a decision to create daily conflict with the Palestinians, and wondered: ‘Who is responsible for this?’ Abu Al-Einein accused the occupation soldiers of the cold-blooded murder of dozens of our Palestinian people who did not carry any knife, and blamed the continuing violence on the Israeli government that continues land theft and daily harassment.”
PA Ministry of Foreign Affairs warn Arab governments against "normalization" with Israel
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, July 15, 2016
Headline: “The [PA] Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns Arabs against Netanyahu’s normalization proposals”
“The [PA] Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned in a notice yesterday [July 14, 2016] against the normalization proposals of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in which he calls to develop the ties with the Arabs…
The [PA] ministry emphasized that… Netanyahu is trying to advance [the idea] that peace on the regional level is still possible, in order to block the international peace efforts and give the impression that he seeks opportunities and ways that will enable a return to Palestinian and Israeli negotiations through the Arab level. Thus, he essentially reverses the Arab peace initiative and changes it from its present form, as the initiative proposes normalization ties between Arab states and Israel after arriving at a final peace agreement between the Palestinians and the Israelis, the establishment of an independent Palestinian state in the borders of 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital, and the achievement of a just and agreed solution on the subject of the refugees.
The ministry added that Netanyahu erases all this and skips to attempts to create a new Middle Eastern reality in a way that will strengthen what he calls Israeli-Arab ties at the expense of the Palestinian issue, without there being any connection between it and the end of the occupation of the State of Palestine's land or an end to his Jewish settlement activities, the theft of Palestinian lands, and an end to his ongoing attacks against occupied Jerusalem and the holy sites, the demolition of homes, and the summary executions.”
Governor of Ramallah: Israel tries to kill us with drugs and fireworks
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, July 10, 2016
Official PA TV program Palestine This Morning, hosting Ramallah and El-Bireh District Governor Laila Ghannam, on warning issued by the Ramallah and El-Bireh district regarding the use of fireworks in celebrations to mark the end of matriculation exams
Ramallah and El-Bireh District Governor Laila Ghannam: “There are daily summary executions and the occupation is also trying to cause our people to kill itself with its own hands, through means [of Palestinians acting] outside the national consensus, [one of] them being the fireworks that enter [the PA]. We do not have complete control over our areas that are under [our] security control. This [influx of fireworks] is done by some of the greedy merchants, and of course with the support of the occupation that tries to kill us with everything, whether with drugs, fireworks, [Palestinians acting] outside the national consensus - all of the actions and negative behavior that could lead to the collapse of this society which has suffered greatly from this occupation.”
Op-ed in official PA daily repeats libel about rabbinic council that ordered Jews to poison Palestinian water sources
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, July 10, 2016
Headline: “Our new generations are the hope!”

Op-ed by Yahya Rabah, a regular columnist for the official PA daily and a member of the Fatah Leadership Committee in Gaza

“[Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu said that the incitement is the problem, and not the settlement enterprise! This is a form of diplomatic and moral contempt that has spread in the Israeli society like cancer, and we identified it in an Israeli minister, one of Netanyahu’s ministers who were selected by him to stand to his right. The minister said that the Palestinians are happy about the settlement enterprise, which gives them workplaces in the settlements! Look what the racism has come to, the contempt, and the stupidity! The homeland of a people is stolen, and afterwards they claim that it is compensated for its homeland through work for the occupier who stole its homeland. Is there a need for incitement when there are such despicable acts, and such racism?
We heard the same disgusting logic several days ago from the Council of Settler Rabbis, which issued a religious ruling to poison the water of the Palestinians (sic., no such council exists and not such ruling was ever issued). This insane council is recognized and receives support from the Netanyahu government and the Israeli Parliament, where there are even more disgusting voices. These rabbis have no connection to the Jewish tribes, because they are part of the thirteenth tribe that is not connected to the children of Israel. They are Khazars who appropriated Judaism and established Zionism, and they are behind every shameful act of the occupation.”

The op-ed asserts the PA libel alleging that a non-existent rabbi gave a religious ruling to poison Palestinian water. After PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas aired the libel in his speech to the EU Parliament on June 23,
PA TV calls terrorist stabbers “Martyrs,” claims they were executed by Israel
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, July 2, 2016

News broadcast on the “Martyrdom” of Sara Taraireh at the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron where she attacked and tried to stab Israeli forces and was shot and killed.

Official PA TV newsreader: “Occupation soldiers executed the female citizen Sara Taraireh, a 27-year-old from the town of Bani Na’im, at the entrance to the Ibrahimi Mosque (i.e., Cave of the Patriarchs) in Hebron, on claims that she tried to stab one of them at the site. This incident takes place as the occupation continues in a siege on the town of Bani Na’aim after the Martyrdom (Istish’had) of the youth Muhammad Taraireh, 17, (i.e., terrorist who stabbed 13-year-old girl to death) from the gunfire of the occupation

Report in official PA daily accuses Israel of executing civilians, says 223 Palestinians were killed in terror wave
Source: WAFA, official PA news agency, July 2, 2016
Headline: “Report: The occupation (i.e., Israel) killed 78 civilians and arrested 3,230 in the first half of 2016”

“The Abdallah Al-Hourani Center for Research and Documentation, which is affiliated with the PLO, stated in its report on the subject of Israeli violations that the Israeli occupation forces killed 78 citizens and demolished 620 homes and buildings in the first half of 2016.

The center clarified in its biannual report published today (Friday) [July 1, 2016], that the majority of the 78 Martyrs (Shahids) were executed at checkpoints spread throughout the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip, and that they include 22 children and 9 women. Therefore, the number of Martyrs since the outbreak of the popular uprising (i.e., Palestinian euphemism for several months of Palestinian terror attacks against Israelis 2015 - 2016 -Ed.) at the beginning of last October [2015] has risen to 223 (Most of the Palestinians were killed while attacking Israelis - Ed.). The occupation authorities are still holding the bodies of dozens of Martyrs, six of them from the Jerusalem district.”

The terms "all means," "peaceful uprising,” and “popular uprising" are ‎often used by PA leaders to refer to events that include violence and deadly terror ‎against Israeli civilians such as rock-throwing, stabbings and even shootings. See ‎Mahmoud Abbas' reference to murderous terror as "peaceful" during the 2015-2016 ‎terror wave (“The Knife Intifada”), which included numerous stabbing ‎attacks: http://palwatch.org/main.aspx?fi=157&doc_id=16437

Official PA TV reporter: Twenty-seven-year-old Sara is the third Martyr (Shahida) from the town of Bani Na’im, [who has died a Martyr] in different times, places, and ways of execution. It appears that the occupation is insistent on dragging the town into the flames of Sa’ir, the town of 13 Martyrs.”

PA daily op-ed: Abbas water-poisoning libel was a "minor mixup" that "does not negate the barbaric and bloody religious rulings of the 'Jewish ISIS rabbis"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, June 30, 2016
Headline: “[Journalist] Smadar [Perry] spits out her venom”
Op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, a columnist for the official PA daily, in his regular column
“In accordance with the racist colonialist mentality that refuses to hear the Palestinian voice that speaks truth and adheres to peace, [Israeli] journalist Smadar Perry published an article last Monday [June 26, 2016] in the [Israeli] daily Yedioth Aharonoth, in which she spat out her racist venom and ugliness, and repeated in different words the stance of [Israeli] Prime Minister [Benjamin] Netanyahu. This [occurred] when she tried to fish in the murky waters regarding the minor mix-up that appeared in [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas’ speech (i.e., to the European Union, on June 23, 2016) regarding the religious ruling of one of the rabbis regarding the ‘poisoning of Palestinian drinking water,’ a mix-up that does not negate the barbaric and bloody religious rulings of the ‘Jewish ISIS’ rabbis.’ [It seems that] the colonialist Smadar forgot the religious rulings that call publicly, before the entire world, for the killing of non-Jews, the poisoning of the lives of Palestinians, and their expulsion from their homes or the theft of them (i.e., their homes), without the matter causing even one Israeli to bat an eyelash.”

PA and Fatah officials at funeral of accidentally killed teen: Israel executes Palestinians in “cold blood,” Fatah official calls for “resistance in all its forms”
Source: Website of official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, June 24, 2016
PMW note: Mahmoud Rafat Badran was a 15-year-old Palestinian who was accidentally killed by Israeli soldiers who were pursuing Palestinian suspects that had thrown stones at moving Israeli cars, injuring 3. The PA used this tragic event as a platform for spreading its libels that Israel deliberately targets children for execution and encouraged use of “resistance in all its forms,” a euphemism for terror attacks.

Headline: “Masses of our people accompanied the body of Martyr (Shahid) [Mahmoud Rafat] Badran to his grave”

“Yesterday [June 23, 2016] thousands of our people accompanied the body of Martyr (Shahid) [Mahmoud] Rafat Badran, 15, to his grave in the town of Beit Ur in the Ramallah and El-Bireh district, with official, civilian, and military participation

In his speech, Fatah Central Committee member and Commissioner for Mobilization and Organization Mahmoud Al-Aloul called for national unity and an end to the internal rift [between Hamas and Fatah].

Al-Aloul said: ‘The occupation (i.e., Israel) carries out daily executions of children and of the rest of our people on the roads and at checkpoints. The occupation’s admission about the accidental killing of Martyr Badran provides all the data and proof for their conviction and to prove their lies. These children tried to play and have fun like the rest of the children throughout the world, but the occupation’s bullets insisted on killing them.’

Al-Aloul emphasized the option of resistance in all its forms in light of the fact that the peace process is stalled and the occupation continues its crimes…

Ramallah and El-Bireh District Governor [Laila Ghannam] participated in accompanying the body from the Palestine Medical Center and said during the funeral: ‘There is an Israeli decision to execute our children in col
Head of Supreme Muslim Council: Jewish rabbis "encourage settlers to "poison the drinking water in Palestinian cities and villages"
Source: Al-Quds, June 20, 2016
Headline: “[Head of the Supreme Muslim Council in Jerusalem] Sheikh [Ikrima] Sabri: The Jewish rabbis are more racist than the politicians”
“[Head of the Supreme Muslim Council in Jerusalem and former PA Head Mufti] Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, the preacher of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, responded to the publication of the extreme Jewish religious ruling by someone who is termed the ‘head of the Council of Settlements’ (Ed. note: previous false Palestinian reports called this fictitious body ‘the Council of Settlement Rabbis’), which encourages settlers to poison the drinking water in Palestinian cities and villages throughout the West Bank with the goal of expelling the Palestinian citizens from their homes and from their lands.
He said: ‘This is not the first racist religious ruling, and religious rulings of other rabbis preceded it in which they permitted stealing from the Arab citizens, seizing their property, and destroying the olive crops of the Palestinians (sic., like the poisoning libel these claims are likewise false).’
Sheikh Ikrima wondered: ‘Does the real Jewish religion say this?’
He noted that the Jewish rabbis have crossed all the red lines, as they… publish foolish religious legal writings without any supervision that have no connection to the Jewish religion. [He noted] that the Jewish rabbis have surpassed the Israeli politicians in their racism and their acts of terror.
Dr. Ikrima responded to all this: ‘Is there room for dialogue or discussion with people like this?’”
PLO official: Rabbis issued "religious ruling" to "poison the Palestinian drinking water"
Source: Website of official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, June 20, 2016
Headline: “[PLO Executive Committee member] Wasel Abu Yusuf: The religious ruling ordering to poison the drinking water is a clear call to kill our people”
“Secretary-General of the Palestinian Liberation Front and PLO Executive Committee member Dr. Wasel Abu Yusuf stated that the religious ruling of an Israeli rabbi ordering to poison the Palestinian drinking water (no such religious ruling was made –Ed.) is ‘a clear call to murder.’
Abu Yusuf said this in an interview to the media outlets, in response to religious rulings that were published by Council of Settlement Rabbis head Rabbi Shlomo Melamed in the West Bank (no such organization or rabbi exists –Ed.), and permitted the settlers to poison the drinking water in the occupied Palestinian cities and villages in order ‘to expel the Palestinians from their villages and their cities or to kill them.’
Abu Yusuf emphasized that this is not the first call against the Palestinian people, and that this is a call inciting to eliminate and kill the Palestinian citizens.
He noted that these declarations, that is to say the religious rulings on poisoning the water, prove that there is no real [Israeli] peace partner, in light of the existence of an extreme right-wing [Israeli] government that perpetrates killing and settlement.
Likewise, he noted that dozens of religious rulings that were published by Jewish rabbis permitted killing Palestinians, stealing their lands and crops, and destroying their property (no such religious rulings were made –Ed.), and they constituted a motive for the daily acts of killing and destruction that the settlers are committing against the Palestinian people.”

PA libel: Israeli rabbis called to poison all Palestinian wells
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, June 20, 2016

Official PA TV newsreader:
"The Council of Settlement Rabbis (sic) has called to poison the drinking water in all districts of the homeland [Palestine], in order to cause [Palestinian] residents to emigrate, or in order to kill them."
Official PA TV reporter: "As part of the Israeli attempts to utilize religious sources of authority to achieve political goals, an Israeli human rights organization has exposed a religious ruling issued by Rabbi Shlomo Melamed (sic), Chairman of the Council of Settlement Rabbis (sic), that gave the settlers permission to poison the drinking water and the natural wells in the [Palestinian] villages and towns throughout the West Bank. This, with the goal of causing the [Palestinian] residents to leave their lands, enabling the settlers to take control of them."

Arab League condemns 'rabbinical' ruling calling on Jews to poison Palestinian water sources
Source: WAFA, official PA news agency, June 20, 2016
Headline: “The Arab League condemns the call of the rabbis to poison Palestinian drinking water”
“The Arab League strongly condemned the call of the chairman of the Council of Settlement Rabbis, Rabbi Shlomo Melamed (No such rabbi or body exists, see note, Ed.), which gives the settlers permission to poison the drinking water that sustains the Palestinian towns and villages throughout the occupied West Bank. The [Arab League] statement… placed full responsibility on Israel (the occupying force) [parentheses in source] for the ramifications of these religious rulings, which expose the Israeli policy of creating facts on the ground. This is in the shadow of the silence of the international community and its ignoring of the Israeli violations, which are committed each day against the Palestinians: daily executions, home demolitions, clearing and expropriating land, arrests and other serious violations.”

The [PA] Foreign Ministry said yesterday [June 19, 2016] in a statement that the radical Netanyahu [Israeli] government is continuing its unlimited war against the existence of the Palestinian man in his homeland... We stand today before this serious crime, which is not the first of its kind, against the lives of all the Palestinians, through the poisoning of the various water sources. This not only endangers human life, but also one’s livelihood – animals and agricultural produce.”
PA Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls Israel's "poisoning" wells "a crime against humanity"
Source: PA Ministry of Foreign Affairs website, June 19, 2016
PMW note: The PLO accused Jews in the West Bank of poisoning Palestinian water sources, based on the rulings"of a Rabbi Shlomo Melamed, chairman of  the Council of Settlement Rabbis. No such rabbi or body exists. The PA Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded to the accusations:
"This call by Rabbi Mlmad is considered a crime against humanity because it targets humans, animals, corps and all forms of life in the occupied Palestinian territory.
The ministry held the Israeli government full responsibility of the consequences of such calls. It demanded the arrest of the Rabbi for inciting murder and the enforcement of necessary procedures to protect Palestinians from individuals who might attempt to poison water sources.
What is the international community waiting for to interfere; the death of thousands of Palestinians of thirst? To meet such incident with silence and ignore the war Israel is waging against Palestinians is a cause of shame for the international community."

The spokesman noted in a press release that what occurred in Gaza serves Israel’s efforts to disrupt the efforts of the Palestinian leadership, the Fatah Movement, and the national information to expose the occupation’s actions by real comparisons and equating of the summary executions and the burning of children and unarmed citizens carried out by Israel in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip with the executions being carried out by ISIS in the region.”

Little girl on official PA TV sings song showing “Zionists” as killers: “Criminals came to our village, killed my father… The Zionists were here’’
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, May 26, 2016

Yara, guest on official PA TV program
Giants of Endurance: "I'm a little Palestinian girl, still the age of flowers
My heart is good, my intention pure, and I do not harm anyone
I know my home. I know my land, my nice family around me
All that I want is at hand, through love and compassion…
Criminals came to our village, killed my father and took my brother
They said: ‘This is our land.’ [I was] shocked and my eyes teared
I screamed: ‘Why? What did I do?’ Nobody answered me
It just said on our door: ‘The Zionists were here’ ...
Afterwards, someone came that I already saw . He looked like one of them and was walking in circles around me.
I was so angry I grabbed a stone and threw it, and I am not strong
They caught me, hit me, and told me I will stand trial for the attack
They arrested me and accused me of being a criminal and a terrorist… "

Spokesman of the PA Security Forces: Terror attacks have gone down because “We said that we want to protect our children from death, and two or three of our children were executed every day with no consideration”
Source: Donia Al-Watan (independent Palestinian news agency), May 12, 2016
Headline: "Watch the full interview: Al-Damiri speaks about security coordination, Hamas, ISIS, thwarting the operations, the government, the resistance, and the Gaza Strip"

"[Official Spokesman of the PA Security Forces] Adnan Al-Damiri spoke in an exclusive interview with Donia Al-Watan (i.e., an independent Palestinian news agency) about many topics, including the security forces, the possibility of uniting them in the West Bank and Gaza, the reconciliation [between Fatah and Hamas], Gaza's electricity, and the other important topics…

He noted that the PA workers in the Gaza Strip who stopped working are still not working and have not been asked to return to work 'in order not to endanger their lives as we do not know what level of oppression is being implemented by Hamas.'

Likewise, Al-Damiri noted that the government transfers 80 million shekels a month to the Gaza Strip for electricity and 240 million shekels a month for salaries and services, despite Hamas’ opposition to the government or the PA having a role in the administration of Gaza

The security forces in the West Bank are accused of preventing Palestinian resistance operations (i.e., terror attacks) in the West Bank and persecuting those who carry them out; however, since the popular uprising (reference to wave of Palestinian terror attacks, October 2015 - March 2016), it [the West Bank] has been witness to a series of individual and group operations against the Israeli occupation.

Adnan Al-Damiri emphasized that the Palestinian security forces have not prevented anyone from carrying out these operations, and the proof is the occurrence of dozens of them recently, according to him.

He added to Donia Al-Watan: 'We are not talking about the thwarting of operations (i.e., attacks) within Israel, but rather we are talking about our children being throw
