Libel: Israel seeks rule from Euphrates to Nile
Libels
Since the Palestinian Authority was established it has systematically indoctrinated young and old to hate Israelis and Jews. Using media, education, and cultural structures that it controls, the PA has actively promoted religious hatred, demonization, conspiracy libels, etc. These are packaged to present Israelis and Jews as endangering Palestinians, Arabs, and all humanity. This ongoing campaign has so successfully instilled hatred that fighting, murder and even suicide terror against Israelis and Jews are seen by the majority of Palestinians as justified self-defense and as Allah’s will.

Throughout history bogus conspiracy accusations have been used to incite hatred, violence, and mass murder. The myriad conspiracy libels concerning Israel, Israelis and Jews are an integral part of the Palestinian Authority’s ongoing hate promotion. PA libels claim that Israel conspires to infect Palestinians with AIDS, spread drug addiction, conspired and successfully murdered Arafat, and more. The PA’s goal has been to inculcate hatred to the degree that fighting and murdering Jews and Israelis will be glorified as heroic self-defense.
Libel: Israel seeks rule from Euphrates to Nile
A repeated PA libel claims that Israel secretly conspires to conquer and rule "from the Euphrates to the Nile”, an area which includes the territories of Egypt, Lebanon, Iraq, Jordan, Syria and Saudi Arabia. As with all propaganda, the PA includes detailed fictitious “proofs” to make the lie sound credible. The PA asserts as fact that the Knesset, the Israeli Parliament,
displays the slogan “From the Euphrates to the Nile,” and that the two blue stripes on the Israeli flag represent the Euphrates and Nile rivers, indicating Israel's plan to conquer everything in between. This video clip, broadcast hundreds of times on PA TV from 2001 to 2009, depicts a classroom of Jewish children wearing skullcaps in front of the Israeli flag, repeating after the teacher: “The Land of Israel from the Nile to the Euphrates”. All the actors speak Hebrew and the fabricated scene is presented as authentic, as if it were an actual lesson in a Jewish school.

The following are additional examples of this libel:
Guest on PA TV: Israel’s motto is “The State of Israel from the Nile [River] to the Euphrates [River],“ and steals water in order to achieve this goal

Official PA TV program Palestine This Morning from the studio in Amman, Jordan, hosting geologist Mazen Rial to discuss water – the basis for sustainable development.

Geologist Mazen Rial: “If we examine the racist separation fence that Israel built, [we will discover] that it was not built in a random manner, and its route is not straight. Its purpose is to surround the good water sources and the good wells, so the Jewish side can use them. We held negotiations on the subject of land, and they negotiated for land while thinking about water. I always say that water is the most important thing as far as the Zionist entity is concerned, and all their wars with the Arab world were based on this… the central motto of Israel is that something cannot be created out of the blue: ‘The State of Israel from the Nile to the Euphrates’ – from the Nile River to the Euphrates River – in other words as far as they are concerned water is the foundation for taking over the region, to use it and to establish the Zionist enterprise at the expense of the Palestinian national enterprise and the Arab liberation enterprise.’”
Egyptian Sheikh on PA TV: Israel, with the US’s ‎help, is behind regional violence and ‎sectarianism in order to expand Israel’s borders ‎from “the Nile to the Euphrates”
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Sept. 11, 2015
Official PA TV program Reflections, hosting Egyptian Sheikh ‎Nabil Na’im:
Sheikh Nabil Naim: “The Israeli involvement in ‎what is happening in Syria is evident to all. ISIS ‎and Jabhat Al-Nusra, where do they receive ‎treatment? In the Israeli hospitals. The weapons ‎that ISIS receives come from Turkey and Israel. ‎The one who created the problems in the ‎region’s countries is Israel…‎ Who destroyed Iraq? Iraq was destroyed by ‎America. Do you not agree? They have Brzezinski, ‎the Jewish leader (Zbigniew Brzezinski, advisor to ‎Jimmy Carter on national security, a non-Jew, and ‎a severe critic of Israel –Ed.) - he said: ‘In order to ‎create ‘Greater Israel’ from the Euphrates to the ‎Tigris, it is necessary to dismantle the [Arab] ‎countries adjacent to Israel and turn them into ‎warring sectarian and ethnic frameworks…‎ Israel is not interested only in Palestine. In the ‎Israeli parliament Israel’s borders are from the ‎Nile to the Euphrates. On the Israeli flag [the ‎stripes] symbolize the Nile and the Euphrates, with ‎David’s Kingdom between them… We want to say ‎to the people: ‘The reason for all your problems is ‎Israel. You need to solve the Israel problem. Do ‎you understand? Israel is linked to the problem of ‎the dam in Ethiopia. Israel is linked to the crisis in ‎southern Sudan. That is what divided [southern ‎and northern Sudan]. Israel is linked to what is ‎occurring in Syria and Libya.”‎

Jabhat Al-Nusra is a branch of the Al-Qaeda ‎terrorist organization operating in Syria and ‎Lebanon, formed in January 2012. It is an Islamic ‎Sunni, Jihadist group fighting against the Syrian ‎government forces in the Syrian civil war, in order to ‎establish an Islamic state in Syria. ‎
Fatah official: Israel’s flag represents the Nile and Euphrates as borders of the state
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Sept. 3, 2015
Op-ed by Muwaffaq Matar, Fatah Revolutionary Committee member and regular columnist for the official PA daily
Headline: “The power between the flag of Palestine and the borders of the Nile and Euphrates!”
“The additional question is whether the leaders of the occupation state have begun to sense their weakness due to the leader of the State of Palestine and the PLO heading the army of political realism and rationality, and of the Palestinian people’s will and aspirations for freedom and independence! This is because they now believe that the raising of the Palestinian four-color flag (the flag of ‘Arabness’) [parenthesis in source] at the UN headquarters [in New York] expresses a withdrawal, even just a slight one, from the two blue stripes in the flag of the occupation state, ‘Israel’, which represent the Euphrates and the Nile [rivers] as the borders of the State of ‘Israel!’”
PA daily: Israel has “aspirations [to rule] from the Nile to the Euphrates”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, July 6, 2015
Headline: “Recurring sectarian wars”
“Unfortunately, while Israel is facing isolation and international boycott, we find that the Arabs have opened the door of salvation to it, as it has had secret diplomatic relations, and security relations with many of the Arab countries in regards to dealing with the revolutions of what is called the Arab Spring - all this while knowing that Israel has relations with the moderate, radical Islamic, and secular Syrian opposition, as one, as if the internal Arab revulsion created a strong love towards the Israeli occupation. Israel spreads the danger posed by ISIS on one hand, and the Iranian danger on the other hand, in order to sneak into the bedrooms of the Arab regimes, as if it has no aspirations [to rule] from the Nile to the Euphrates...”

Abbas advisor Al-Habbash “likes” Facebook post: “Jews are behind all that is happening from Iraq to Egypt”
Source: Facebook page of Mahmoud Al-Habbash, Abbas’ advisor on Religious and Islamic Affairs and Supreme Shari’ah Judge, July 1, 2015
Mahmoud Abbas’ advisor on Religious and Islamic Affairs and Supreme Shari’ah Judge Mahmoud Al-Habbash wrote in response to the Islamic State terrorist attack that killed dozens of Egyptian soldiers in Sinai on July 1, 2015, that Israel is the one benefiting from the attack:
“I have no doubt that the main beneficiary - and perhaps the only one that really benefits - of the attack in Egypt is Israel. Simply put, this means that whoever harms Egypt is acting for the good of Israel, whether or not they want to.”

Al-Habbash received many replies supporting his words. One was the anti-Semitic response of Ashraf Salameh Abu Islam which Al-Habbash ‘liked’:
“This is what the Jews are working towards: the establishment of the great kingdom from the Iraq river [Euphrates] to the Nile. It used people with twisted, extreme faith, and the Jews are behind all that is happening from Iraq to Egypt. Unfortunately, there are those who implement their (i.e., the Jews) plans in the name of Islam.”

Fatah official: Israel intends to have a “main state from the Nile to the Euphrates”
Source: Al-Asima, bi-weekly distributed with official PA daily, May 27, 2015
Headline: “The black Nakba (“the catastrophe,” the Palestinian term for the establishment of the State of Israel) ”
From an article by Fatah Central Committee Member Abbas Zaki
“Anyone who is interested in the liberation of Palestine and strives for a life worthy of the people of sacrifice, must cease the policy of indifference towards the consistent aggressive strategy of the Israelis, which includes the destruction of the Al-Aqsa [Mosque], the division of what is already divided and the cooperation with collaborators and cowards in the Middle East under false pretexts. This is in order to exhaust the Arab will power, to destroy the [Arab] nation’s capabilities from the [Atlantic] Ocean to the [Persian] Gulf with the intention of drawing the map of Zionist rule, with its main state from the Nile to the Euphrates, and to turn the Zionist dream into reality.”

Official PA daily: Zionist "colonial project" end goal is control "from the Nile to the Euphrates"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, May 6, 2014
By Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, regular columnist for official PA daily and advisor to former PA Prime Minister Salam Fayyad on national affairs
“Since Israel was established on the ruins of the Palestinian Nakba (i.e., ‘the catastrophe,’ Palestinian term for the establishment of the State of Israel) – which has [recently] marked its 66th anniversary – the Zionist leaders have been developing their slogans and methods of extermination and terrorism against our Palestinian people within the Green Line, which include the military orders that have harmed the dignity and rights of the Palestinian person in the most barbaric and despicable ways, until they surpassed Italian Fascism, German Nazism and [other] military dictatorships around the world.
After Israel conquered all of historical Palestine, the Sinai and the Golan on June 4, 1967, it continued its ‘price tag’ policy against the Palestinian people in particular and the Arab nations, whose territories were conquered, in general, by restoring the Emergency Law and the military orders, in order to complete the stages of its initial Zionist plan and colonialist project, which is based on the fundamental political slogan, ‘Your land, O Israel, from the Nile to the Euphrates.’”
Fatah spokesman: Israeli flag symbolizes aim to rule "from the Nile to the Euphrates"
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Mar. 23, 2014
Official PA TV cultural program Panorama of the Hour hosted Spokesman of Fatah’s Supreme Leadership in Gaza, Hassan Ahmad.
Spokesman of Fatah’s Supreme Leadership in Gaza, Hassan Ahmad: “As we [all] know, and as you [all] know, the Israeli occupation entity is, up to this very moment, raising the flag from the Nile to the Euphrates, a Star of David between the Nile and the Euphrates – the expansion project.”
Fatah spokesman claims Israeli flag represents Israeli rule from the Nile to the Euphrates
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Mar. 19, 2014
Fatah's official spokesman Ahmad Assaf: "Did you know that Israel still today has no borders? It has no borders. Even the two stripes on its flag [represent Israeli rule] from the Nile to the Euphrates... The Palestine battle for the Arab region and the Arab nations is not a pan-Arab battle but a national battle [of each Arab country]. Because the Palestinian nation is the first line of defense against Israel's plans and aspirations."
[Official PA TV, March 19, 2014]
Assaf reiterated the libel in an interview on Egyptian TV:
Fatah's official spokesman Ahmad Assaf: "The Israeli flag still speaks [of rule] from the Euphrates to the Nile. Look at the Israeli flag... They still believe in the Greater Israel. As the first line of defense, the Palestinian nation is not merely defending itself, but the entire Arab nation. For this reason, the Arab nation's defense or standing (with the PA) is certainly a pan-Arab duty, but at the same time, it is the national duty of each Arab country, because Israel's aspirations go beyond [its] borders."

Expert on Israel Affairs on PA TV: Israel seeks to rule “from the Nile to the Euphrates”
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, May 15, 2013
PA TV open studio for Nakba Day. Interview with expert on Israel affairs, Adel Shadid:
“The Zionist enterprise in the region doesn’t limit the harm it causes only to the Palestinian people and Palestinian geography… This enterprise is one of expansion and exchange [of one population with another] and proof of this is that Israel, even though 65 years have passed since it founded its entity, has yet to determine its borders. Thousands of laws have been passed in the Israeli Parliament (Knesset) and in Israeli institutions and still Israel’s borders are not defined. This takes us back to the ancient and false Biblical story which is considered part of the Zionist perception and theory – that all territories in which Jews lived 2,000 years ago will be their state by right, in other words, from the Nile to the Euphrates, meaning the Arab regions in Syria and North Africa are destined to be under their geographic rule and under their political and economic control.”
Fatah official propagates libel that Israel wants to rule “from the Nile to the Euphrates”
Source: Official PA TV Live, Jan. 4, 2013
Azzam Al-Ahmad, a member of Fatah’s Central Committee, spoke on a PA TV Live broadcast from a Jordanian celebration of Fatah Day.
Azzam Al-Ahmad: “Our campaign against the Zionists was not a Palestinian-Israeli campaign, but rather an Arab campaign against the forces of old-style colonialism and the Zionist dream, [a campaign] that aimed to defend the entire Arab region. We, as Palestinians, remain the spearhead, and we were never anything else… We defended Lebanon, we defended Medina. Do we not know that they (i.e., the Jews) dream of a state reaching from the Nile to the Euphrates? ...We say to our brothers who do not grasp the reality of the situation (lit. 'who have been struck by color blindness'): ‘We are involved in a campaign of the entire Arab nation. We aren’t in a campaign that is Palestine’s alone. This puts us all in the same trench.’”
PA daily: The aim of Zionism is to rule over the world and over all non-Jews
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, May 15, 2011
"There was no period [like it] in history, and no other nation has acted with such recklessness, expelling and spilling blood, as the Zionist movement did against the Arabs of Palestine. The source of the name 'Zionism' is 'Mount Zion', one of the four mountains upon which the city of Jerusalem was founded. The Jews believe that their God lives there. Zionism is an extreme religious ideology whose aim is political hegemony and the transformation of a Jewish monarchy in Palestine into a basis for their eternal rule over the world, [and] that others, "Goyim" [non-Jews], must submit to their will, [their rule] which is drawn from the will of God."

Netanyahu conspires to "control" the Middle East "through all available means"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 17, 2011
“In an announcement published by the Commission for Information and Culture, the [Fatah] movement said… that Netanyahu’s extremist government is falsifying historical facts, and that although the leader of the Israeli Kadima party, Tzipi Livni, has acknowledged that the Palestinian State is not a favor bestowed by anyone, Netanyahu is seeking to breathe new life into the Zionist enterprise, through plans for the control over and hegemony of the Middle East region through all available means, both military and economic.”
PA TV history program: Jews throughout history have sought rule over all Arab land, not just "Palestine"
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Oct. 10, 2010
PA TV history program, Witnesses and Testimonies, featuring two Jordanian academics:
Jordanian academic Muhammad Dohal:

”The interest of the Zionists, throughout history and at the present time, was not the land of Palestine alone; rather, their interest was greater than that. … The Jews’ interest included all of the Arab land, we might say, or at least the Arab area surrounding Palestine, such as Syria, Iraq, Egypt, and even parts of Saudi Arabia, whether through active control, media control, or economic control. All this was planned by the Jews in order to rule this region with all its human, economic, material and other treasures and resources.”
PA daily: Israel seeks to control Arab Islamic nations
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Sept. 9, 2010
Rev. Terry Jones, leader of a small church in Florida, started a campaign to burn copies of the Quran on Sept. 11th, 2010, to commemorate the 9th anniversary of the Al-Qaeda terror attack. The official PA daily used this as the launching point for another verbal attack against Israel and the US:
“It’s not at all impossible that the American security institutions are behind the crazy, hatred-filled pastor, with the aim of leading to the continued existence, perpetuation and deepening of the contradictions between the supporters and followers of different religions, and especially between Christians and Muslims. All this is in order to cover up Israel’s crimes and the American forces in Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, Pakistan, Sudan, Somalia, Algeria and the Arab Gulf…
The Republican right-wingers, Israel’s allies – and in particular, the supporters of religious fanaticism among the right-wing messianic Anglican groups, who purport to be Zionists – continually try to fan the flames of the differences and to incite wars, with the aim of wearing out the strength of the American people and of all nations of the world, and in particular of the Arabic and Islamic nations which are considered weak, to force upon them an ongoing act of plunder of their wealth and their natural resources, depriving them of any spark of hope to develop and to join the circle of humanity, in order to maintain the control by Israel – the racist apartheid state – over these nations, and especially over the Palestinian Arab nation.”

"There are [Israelis] who profess that Israel's borders are from the Nile to the Euphrates. Look at the Israeli flag: Two blue stripes and a Star of David in the center. Israel plans to swallow many Islamic countries
Source: Al-Risala (Hamas news source), Dec. 7, 2006
“The Zionists’ aspirations are not limited to Palestine from the sea to the river, and not to Egypt and the Sha’am lands [Greater Syria], extending to Iraq and Medina, or from the Euphrates to the Nile ... the [Israeli] idea of ‘the greater Middle East’ swallows many countries in the Islamic world.”
