Libels
Holocaust libels and misappropriation
Libels
Since the Palestinian Authority was established it has systematically indoctrinated young and old to hate Israelis and Jews. Using media, education, and cultural structures that it controls, the PA has actively promoted religious hatred, demonization, conspiracy libels, etc. These are packaged to present Israelis and Jews as endangering Palestinians, Arabs, and all humanity. This ongoing campaign has so successfully instilled hatred that fighting, murder and even suicide terror against Israelis and Jews are seen by the majority of Palestinians as justified self-defense and as Allah’s will.

Throughout history bogus conspiracy accusations have been used to incite hatred, violence, and mass murder. The myriad conspiracy libels concerning Israel, Israelis and Jews are an integral part of the Palestinian Authority’s ongoing hate promotion. PA libels claim that Israel conspires to infect Palestinians with AIDS, spread drug addiction, conspired and successfully murdered Arafat, and more. The PA’s goal has been to inculcate hatred to the degree that fighting and murdering Jews and Israelis will be glorified as heroic self-defense.
Holocaust libels and misappropriation
Holocaust desecration, denial, and abuse are all components of Palestinian Authority ideology. A PA TV children’s program taught that Israel burned Palestinians in ovens. [PA TV (Fatah), March 25, 2004] At an exhibit in Gaza, children put dolls in a model oven adorned with a Star of David and a swastika. A senior Palestinian academic taught adults on PA TV: “There was no
Dachau, no Auschwitz; these were disinfecting sites.” [PA TV (Fatah), Nov. 29, 2000] A Hamas TV documentary explained that Jewish leaders planned the Holocaust in order to eliminate Jews who were "disabled and handicapped.” [Al-Aqsa TV (Hamas), April 18, 2008] A crossword puzzle clue in the official PA newspaper identified “Israel’s Center for the Holocaust and the Lies” as “Yad Vashem” – Israel’s Holocaust memorial. [Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Feb. 18, 1999] The same official PA daily has published many articles denying the Holocaust, including one that termed the Holocaust a “hen laying golden eggs.”

Schoolbooks produced by the Palestinian Ministry of Education teach the history of World War 2 in great detail but omit the history of the Holocaust, which is totally ignored. One history book does teach that Nazism was a racist ideology and that Nazi war criminals were tried, but it does not mention that Jews were the target of the racism, nor the crimes for which the Nazis were on trial. Palestinian education erases the actual Holocaust from history and usurps the word “Holocaust” for its own wide range of malicious libels.

This video depicts a PA TV children’s play teaching that Israel burned Palestinians in ovens.
"They [Israel] are the ones who did the Holocaust, their knife cuts to the length and the width of our flesh...
They opened ovens for us, to bake human beings.
They destroyed the villages and burnt the cities.
And when an oven stops burning, they light a hundred [more] ovens.
Their hands are covered with the blood of our children."

The following are more examples of Palestinian Authority Holocaust desecration, denial, and abuse. (Note: This material also appears under "Holocaust Denial and Distortion"):
PLO official: Balfour Declaration "constituted the basis for all of the injustices... committed against the Palestinian people, as well as the Palestinian holocaust that has been continuing for the past 100 years”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Nov. 1, 2016
Headline: “National condemnation of the Balfour Promise, and the [PLO] Department for Refugee Affairs prepares to launch a campaign against the ominous promise”
“PLO Executive Committee member and Director of the [PLO] Department for Refugee Affairs Tayseer Khaled called on all Palestinians of all political and ideological affiliations in the Palestinian Interior (i.e., Palestinian term for Israel), the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, the refugee camps, and the countries of the exile and the diaspora to unite around the national campaign denouncing the colonialist Balfour Promise (i.e., Declaration).
This is for the approaching 100th anniversary of this promise, which constituted the basis for all of the injustices that the Zionist movement and the State of Israel committed against the Palestinian people, as well as the Palestinian holocaust that has been continuing for the past 100 years before the eyes and ears of the international community.”

The Balfour Declaration of Nov. 2, 1917 was a letter from British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour to Baron Rothschild stating that “His Majesty's government views with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people” and is seen as the basis for later international commitments to establish the State of Israel.

Headline: “The racism of Israel is burning its fingers”
Excerpt of op-ed by Bassem Barhoum
“Israel is a state that has lost its sense of sight and discernment. Therefore, I do not rule out that the day will soon come when we will see the Zionist racists and extremists who rule in Israel burning the books of the new Israeli historians and every book that talks objectively about the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in the city squares.
Who expected that the Germans would burn the books of [Karl] Marx and the rest of the thinkers and philosophers in the center of Berlin, and yet the blind racism of the Nazis led to this.
This caused me to consider the possibility that a scenario like this could happen as a response of the blind racism of the Israeli politicians to the participation and positions of representatives of the B’Tselem organization and the Americans for Peace Now association in the advisory meeting of the [UN] Security Council, which was held last Friday [Oct. 14, 2016] under the title Illegal Israeli Settlements: A Threat to Peace and the Two-State Solution.”

Of PA TV airs song addressing Israel: "You are a Nazi... the chaos of your corruption is running rampant"
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Sept. 13, 2016
Official PA TV program Holiday Morning, hosting poet Abdallah Qishta
Poet Abdallah Qishta begins to recite the poem "A Homeland That is Tired of Waiting"
Poet Abdallah Qishta:
"Oh my enemy, others are brighter than you…
You are a Nazi, do not lie and do not call for peace
The chaos of your corruption is running rampant in Muslim countries
Your ebb and flow have come to an end, the illusion has reached its end and dissipated
Your time has come, accursed is your grandfather who brought us the Balfour Promise (i.e., Declaration)
[Even if] a period passes, we will not forget and our veins will be renewed
Your fate is shame and disgrace, regardless of what will come to pass.
Tomorrow we will liberate our land and we will lay the cornerstone,
Sometimes with weapons, and sometimes with politics.
The soil always calls to us: 'Come with [your] head held high,
Wear the crown of glory, and break the head of the evil one’
Its [the soil’s] knife will express our rage and will not allow the Al-Aqsa Mosque to be harmed…"
Official PA TV host: "We do not deny that the poem is wonderful and the style is very unique, especially as there is an attractiveness to the Nabataean or Bedouin poem, as some know it ."

PA daily editorial likens Israel to Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Sept. 10, 2016
Excerpt of official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida editorial
Headline:
“The extremism and follies of the obsession”
“Israel of the settler racist extremist right – Israel of [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu, [Minister of Defense Avigdor] Liberman, and [Minister of Education Naftali] Bennett – obsessively continues the offensive of distorting the position and policy of [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas and inciting against him. It is mistakenly deluded that this will perhaps topple the firm and clear Palestinian standpoint regarding the ways to make peace, security, and stability in the region…
The Israeli incitement campaign against him [Abbas] did not find – and will never find – [ways] other than fabricating lies, nonsense and more falsehoods, as those carrying out this [incitement] campaign are apparently followers of the school of [Joseph] Goebbels, the minister of buried Nazi propaganda, who made the famous statement: ‘Lie and lie until they believe you.’”

PA-run Channel Musawa that is intended for an Israeli Arab audience, interview with Deputy Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee Jibril Rajoub
Deputy Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee Jibril Rajoub: “[Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu cannot [now] and cannot continue to lead the world by the nose because of what happened to the Jews in Europe in the 1940s, which is something that we oppose and view as a crime, and the whole world views it as a crime, but he has no right to implement the same policy against the Palestinian people.”

Jibril Rajoub also holds the following positions: Head of the Supreme Council for Sport and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Palestinian Football Association, Chairman of the Palestine Olympic Committee, and Chairman of the Palestinian Scout Association (PSA).
Fatah official: Interrogations of Palestinian football players by Israeli security forces were “carried out an inhuman manner, the likes of which were only [seen] in the ‘40s of the last century, in the Nazi prisons and detention cells”

Headline: “Rajoub: The Palestine Cup Finals were postponed by 48 hours due to the occupation’s steps”

“[Chairman of the Palestine Olympic Committee and] Chairman of the Palestinian Football Association Jibril Rajoub announced the postponement by 48 hours of the Palestine Cup Finals return match between the Ahli Al-Khalil (i.e., Hebron) team and the Shabab Khan Yunis team. This was because the Israeli occupation authorities prevented the entry of seven Khan Yunis players and administration members into the northern districts (i.e., from the Gaza Strip into the West Bank) in order to participate in the match, which was supposed to take place yesterday [July 30, 2016] at 6:00 p.m. at the Hussein Bin Ali Stadium in Hebron…
Rajoub summarized all of the steps taken by the Israeli authorities against the players of the two teams: preventing the entry of four Ahli Hebron players into the southern districts (i.e., the Gaza Strip) for the first match [of the finals], preventing the entry of seven Khan Yunis team players and administration members into the northern districts, including the team’s first goalkeeper and goalkeeper trainer, and the interrogations that were carried out during the course of this at the crossing in an inhuman manner, the likes of which were only [seen] in the ‘40s of the last century, in the Nazi prisons and detention cells.”
PA asks Arab League to help sue Britain for issuing Balfour Declaration, Britain should apologize for the Balfour Declaration like Germany did for the Holocaust
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, July 25, 2016

Official PA TV newsreader: "In a speech given in the name of President Mahmoud Abbas, [PA] Minister of Foreign Affairs Riyad Al-Malki... asked the General Secretariat of the Arab League to help the [PA] leadership prepare a legal case..."
PA Minister of Foreign Affairs Riyad Al-Malki in speech at the Arab League Summit representing PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas: "We ask the General Secretariat of the Arab League to assist us in preparing a legal case in order to file a lawsuit against the British government for its issuing the Balfour Promise (i.e., Declaration) and for its (i.e., the Declaration’s) implementation afterwards, as a mandatory authority, which caused the Nakba of the Palestinian people and its expulsion..."
Expert on International Law and Secretary General of the PA Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Places Hanna Issa: "It is the right of the Palestinian Arab people to sue Britain... If they refuse to accept it [the lawsuit] in the International Criminal Court, we can turn to the UN [General] Assembly... and [demand] the establishment of an international criminal court with the jurisdiction to place sanctions on Britain… I present as an example the Nazis’ Jewish Holocaust against the Jews in World War II. Germany even apologized and until now it has expressed political, economic, social, and cultural apologies. It even has funded the Israeli entity with billions of dollars until now, and therefore it is similar to the holocaust carried out against the Palestinian Arab people."

Fatah Central Committee member and Commissioner for Foreign Branches Jamal Muhaisen: “The Zionist entity is a Nazi entity, planted in Arab land, planted in the land of Palestine. It spreads in the Arab region, spreads geographically in the occupied Syrian Golan. It spreads economically and security-wise through the entire Arab region, it spreads like cancer.”

Hebron district governor compares Israel’s temporary closure of Hebron after terror attack to Jewish “ghettos” in Europe
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, July 3, 2016
Official PA TV program Palestine This Morning hosts Hebron District Governor Kamel Hamid, on Israel’s general closure of the town of Hebron following a Palestinian terrorist’s murder of Rabbi Michael Mark on July 1, 2016

Hebron District Governor Kamel Hamid: “What is different this time [in the closure of Hebron] is that this siege accompanies political and financial punishments and tight closures. These gates remind us of what we read about the ghettos that the Jews in Europe were exposed to according to their claims, as can be seen they are perpetrating these ghettos against the Palestinian people.”

Rabbi Michael Mark - a 48-year-old father of ten who was murdered by Palestinian terrorists in a shooting attack on July 1, 2016 on Route 60 in the southern Har Hebron region. Rabbi Mark, director of the Otniel Yeshiva (Jewish religious studies academy), was shot and murdered when terrorists opened fire on his car, causing the vehicle to overturn and crash. Rabbi Mark’s wife Chava, 40, was seriously wounded in the attack, and two of their children were also injured – their daughter Tehila, 15, and their son Pedayah, 16. The terrorists managed to escape.

Guest on PA TV: Jews taught South Africa and the Nazis to be apartheid regimes
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, May 20, 2016
Official PA TV program Palestine This Morning, interview with Issa Salman, a resident of Beit Safafa, a neighborhood in west Jerusalem, about the period between 1948-1967 in which Beit Safafa was a village divided between Israel and Jordan

Issa Salman: “It was the only village in southern west Jerusalem that was divided as a result of the 1949 Rhodes Agreement (sic., apparently referring to the Lausanne Conference of 1949, see below), under an apartheid regime, in other words the Jews preceded others [in this regard], and South Africa learned from them, and the Nazis learned from them.”

Visual: Salman shows a picture of the fence that was in Beit Safafa until 1967 .

Official PA TV host: “In 1962, see the clear signs of apartheid [i.e., the pre-1967 border between Israel and Jordan].”

The Lausanne Conference of 1949 was convened by the UN Conciliation Commission for Palestine (UNCCP) in Lausanne, Switzerland April 27 – Sept. 12, 1949. It was attended by representatives of Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria and the Arab Higher Committee and refugee delegations, representing Arab refugees from Israel. Its purpose was to resolve disputes arising from the 1948 war between Israel and its neighboring Arab countries.
PA daily op-ed misrepresents Israeli general’s speech to compare Israel’s behavior to the Nazis
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, May 11, 2016
Headline: “Israel is not immune to condemnation!”

Excerpt of op-ed by Yahya Rabah, columnist for the official PA daily and a member of the Fatah Leadership Committee in Gaza

“[Israeli] Deputy Chief of General Staff and Major General Yair Golan is not a passing figure in Israel, and is not from the ranks of the Israeli opposition. He is from the heart of the Israeli security and military services, and yet he recently expressed views that greatly angered Netanyahu and many members of his government who are members of the extremist and racist hawks. He said that the behavior of the Israeli army’s soldiers against the Palestinians is not less despicable than the Nazi actions and the Nazi Holocausts (sic.) against the Jews (sic., he actually said that we must be careful not to act like the Nazis and uproot any signs of intolerance and violence).”

Yair Golan’s speech on May 4, 2016:
“The Holocaust, as I see it, must enable us to deeply reflect on the nature of man. It must bring us to deeply reflect on the responsibility of leadership and the nature of society, and it must enable us to think fundamentally about how we, here and now, are conducting ourselves toward orphans, widows and their like. Indeed, there is nothing easier than to simply hate the other, there is nothing easier than to provoke fears and strike terror; there is nothing easier than barbaric behavior, moral corruption and hypocrisy. On Holocaust Remembrance day, it is appropriate to discuss our abilities to extricate from among us signs of intolerance and violence, signs that we're heading towards self-destruction and down the road to moral depravity. In fact, Holocaust Remembrance Day is an opportunity for self-examination. If Yom Kippur is a day for personal self-reflection, then it is appropriate, and even absolutely necessary, that Holocaust Remembrance Day, will also be a day of national self-examination, and in

Op-ed by Director of PLO Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs Issa Karake

“[At the moment] it is the 68th anniversary of the Nakba (i.e., “the catastrophe,” Palestinian term for the establishment of the State of Israel), and after all these years it looks like what happened to the Palestinian people in 1948 became a curse on the future of the State of Israel. The Israelis are still afraid of the spirits moving under the ground of the villages that were destroyed and of their residents who were exiled and massacred, and that is what one of the central figures in this war, [Israeli] Deputy Chief of General Staff and Major General Yair Golan, said when he compared the behavior of the Israeli army toward the Palestinians to the behavior of the Nazis [and said] that the buds of hatred and intolerance in Israeli society torment the human conscience and are leading to moral deterioration, there was a Holocaust there, and a holocaust is taking place here (sic., he actually said that we must be careful not to act like the Nazis and uproot any signs of intolerance and violence).”

Yair Golan’s speech on May 4, 2016:

Op-ed in PA daily implicitly compares Israeli government to Nazis
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Apr. 26, 2016
Headline: “Those who pass between fleeting words”
Op-ed by Jihad Al-Khazen, originally published in the London-based Al-Hayat newspaper
“The terrorist [Israeli Prime Minister] Benjamin Netanyahu promises not to give up the Golan. I say to him (through a third party because I cannot speak with him) [parentheses in source] that Tel Aviv is not his. The Golan is part of Syria, and all of Israel is occupied Palestine… What I say is that the occupation of Palestine is an evil thing that will end with the return of the occupiers to the place from where they came. I do not expect that the justice will include putting the members of the Israeli government on trial as the Nazis were put on trial after the fall of the Nazis, but just that they will leave, as Mahmoud Darwish requested when he said to them that they ‘pass between fleeting words’ and that they should take their names and get out from on us. All of their news is a crime or lies. The Jewish holiday of Passover falls on the 22nd of this month, and it marks the anniversary of the exodus of the Jews from Egypt. According to information I have received from two university professors, which was verified by my friend, the archeologist Zahi Hawass, this whole story is a biblical myth. I challenge them to bring me one archeological remnant from Egypt or Sinai, as I challenge them daily to bring me one Jewish archeological remnant from Jerusalem, or to show us a rock from the alleged Temple.”

Former Arafat advisor: Israeli crimes against Palestinians “exceed the Nazis’ crimes by several degrees”

"[Former advisor to Yasser Arafat] Bassam Abu Sharif called on President of Russia [Vladimir Putin] to stand firmly against the Israeli expansion, land expropriation, and building of settlements, being carried out with the criminal power of the occupation army. Bassam Abu Sharif stated in the name of a large group of members of the Palestinian National Council: 'I call on President [Vladimir] Putin to deter the racist regime from carrying out its criminal acts against the Palestinian people, its men, women, and children. Abu Sharif added that the Israeli crimes being carried out against [Palestinian] civilians have reached a point where they exceed the Nazis’ crimes by several degrees."
Op-ed in official PA daily: “Nazi Holocaust is ancient history,” Israel uses Holocaust to draw attention from holocaust that it is carrying out against the Palestinians

Headline: The latest news: Holocaust, a judge, and a 500 euro bill”
Op-ed by Jihad Al-Khazen originally published in the London-based Al-Hayat newspaper
“Georgetown University, where I once studied, has received a $10,000,000 grant for Nazi Holocaust studies in the framework of its Jewish Studies program.
The university is Catholic, and I do not understand why it is carrying out research on the Holocaust. In addition, this Holocaust occurred 70 years ago or more, while a holocaust is being perpetrated daily by a terrorist, criminal government (i.e., Israeli government) of settlers against the Palestinians in their occupied land, but no research on that is being carried out at Georgetown University. The Nazi Holocaust is ancient history, and the Palestinian holocaust is daily news, and Israel’s supporters will not succeed in calling attention to history that will never return in order to make people forget what the occupation state is perpetrating today.”

Headline: “Abu Yusuf: The American government’s role in the area has now become suspicious, and the Jerusalem Intifada must be supported until freedom is achieved”
“Secretary-General of the Palestinian Liberation Front and PLO Executive Committee member Dr. Wasel Abu Yusuf rejected the possibility that the latest meeting of President Mahmoud Abbas with [US Secretary of State John] Kerry in Amman will lead to positive results for the Palestinians… Abu Yusuf stated that our Palestinian people’s intifada has amazed the world and exposed the truth about the neo-Nazism being employed by the occupation, and also said that the continuation of the Palestinian people’s resolve will thwart pressures being applied to the Palestinian leadership. Likewise, he clarified that it is not reasonable for the US to have a new role, and emphasized that the main goal of the American administration is to bring the intifada to an end.”

Bassam Abu Sharif added that all of the German citizens see with their own eyes the crimes being perpetrated by the Zionist occupation against the Palestinian people, and there is no doubt that the barbaric manner in which the Ashkenazis (i.e., Jews of European descent) perpetrate their crimes against children… exceeds the Nazis' crimes by a few levels, as the Ashkenazis are perpetrating their war crimes against an entire people."
