Kids read poem dedicated to first intifada on PA TV

Official PA TV, Palestinian children read a poem for the 30th anniversary of the Palestinian wave of violence and terror against Israel (the first Intifada, 1987-1993)

Host: “What do you want to read?”

Omar: “A poem about the anniversary of the [first] Intifada (i.e., Palestinian wave of violence and terror against Israel, 1987-1993).”

Host: “Go on.”

Palestinian children Abd Al-Rahman and Omar: “Palestine, Palestine,
Land of the revolution and the prophets.
We are your children, Palestine,
Land of the revolution and the prophets.
We are self-sacrificing fighters (Fedayeen) for your soil,
On the land of my ancestors we stand firm.
Large, small, we are marching.
People, shake yourself off (play on words, comes from same root as intifada –Ed.) and fear not.
Dec. 8, [1987] (i.e., the start of the first Intifada),
Palestine, the date of honor and giants.
A revolution against the oppression of the occupiers,
Children of stones and people of resistance.
We will call on your behalf, Palestine,
All of the students and teachers,
All of the merchants and clerks.
We will call on your behalf, Palestine.
We are going to the UN,
Asking for a state named Palestine,
[and] the right of return and of the refugees.
With no wall or settlers.”

Host: “How wonderful! Bravo! …Sweeties, clever Omar and Abd Al-Rahman, thank you.”
