Karake continued: 'Israel does not recognize the application of the Geneva Conventions to the prisoners and their legal description as national freedom movement prisoners, applies racist and military laws to them, and is managing an international propaganda campaign of incitement against the prisoners in order to isolate them and keep any assistance or support away from them. Therefore, it is necessary to hurry to provide legal protection to the prisoners and to force it (i.e., Israel) to recognize them as prisoners of freedom and legitimate fighters.'"
