Abbas’ deputy says PA plans to “confront the occupation” in addition to use of diplomatic means, “Under no circumstances can we adhere to agreements with Israel”

"A few days after his appointment as deputy chairman of the Fatah Movement, it appears that Mahmoud Al-Aloul is more diplomatic when discussing the complicated topics that [the independent Palestinian news network] Raya brought up in an interview with him, beginning with his appointment as deputy chairman of Fatah, including the political changes that are shaking the region, and concluding with plans for a regional solution, the discussions of which the PA will not be included in…
[Al-Aloul said] that the position of the new American administration will be difficult for the Palestinian leadership, and noted that recently there is no choice but ‘to resist the Israeli violations.'
He said: 'We have entreated our [Arab] brothers who have largely washed their hands of us due to reasons related to them or the illusion the Americans created for them that they constitute a target for Iran and that the US and Israel can protect them.' He added: 'Some of them fell for these illusions, and gave priority to other causes.'
He revealed the fact of the existence of a 'plan' that the leadership will explain in the coming days, which relates to 'widespread political activity, which will be expressed by turning to the UN organizations and the [UN] Security Council and setting in motion the suits at the International Criminal Court against the settlements and the expected steps by the American administration,' in addition to activity on the ground whose goal is to confront the occupation.
Regarding [PA] President [Mahmoud Abbas'] allusion to stopping the security coordination [with Israel] in light of the Israeli decisions, and the possibility of taking active steps and not just making threats like many times in the past, Al-Aloul said that they are moving in the direction of 'changing the entire equation in the relations with the occupation.'
He added: 'We cannot hold back and be silent about the amount of crimes that the occupation is perpetrating, and under no circumstances can we continue to adhere to the agreements with Israel.'"

The terms "all means," "peaceful uprising,” and “popular uprising," and "resistance" are ‎often used by PA leaders to refer to events that include violence and deadly terror ‎against Israeli civilians such as rock-throwing, stabbings and even shootings. See ‎Mahmoud Abbas' reference to murderous terror as "peaceful" during the 2015-2016 ‎terror wave (“The Knife Intifada”), which included numerous stabbings, shootings and car ramming attacks in which 40 people were killed (36 Israelis, 1 Palestinian, 2 Americans and 1 Eritrean) and hundreds wounded: http://palwatch.org/main.aspx?fi=157&doc_id=16437
