Palestinian family decries and renounces relative for meeting with Israeli MP Yehuda Glick and other Israelis

Headline: "Because he hosted Yehuda Glick, the Jaber family in Hebron distances itself from its son"
"The Jaber family in Hebron has distanced itself from its son Muhammad Jaber following the publication of pictures documenting the reception he held for [Israeli Member of Parliament] Rabbi Yehuda Glick - who leads the settlers' invasions of the Al-Aqsa Mosque – in his home during Eid Al-Adha (i.e., Muslim “Sacrifice Feast” holiday)…
Jaber Jaber, Muhammad's brother, emphasized that he and his brother Zaki have declared that they are distancing themselves from their brother Muhammad Jaber, and said: 'Due to my sick mother's state we did not declare this, but today [Sept. 8, 2017], and after he received Yehuda Glick in his house, we declare that we do not have a third brother and we are distancing ourselves from him.'…
Jaber explained that his brother Muhammad Saber Jaber has been meeting with Israelis for years, something to which the family objects and sees as a betrayal of the homeland: 'All of the Jaber family has distanced itself from Muhammad, and every person in the family will confirm this.' He added: 'Muhammad hosts Israeli figures every day, with the latest being Yehuda Glick, who invades the Al-Aqsa Mosque every day and is hostile to the Palestinians, and this is a man that we reject like we reject putting our hand in his, and whoever does this is a collaborator.'
He continued: ‘He was a necrosis in our body, but we have cut him out and gotten rid of him, and we consider this repentance.' He noted that the city of Hebron now knows [Muhammad Jaber’s] negative reputation and is casting him out of its midst.'
Regarding the family's petition to the Palestinian [PA] Security Forces in order to deter Jaber and force him to stop his normalization meetings, he said: 'We received a call several years ago regarding the intention of the [PA] Preventive Security [Force] to arrest Muhammad Jaber. After we got back to them and the rest of the forces in order to implement the decision published by the Jericho Prison, they informed us that Muhammad Jaber has an official permit from Palestinian [PA] President [Mahmoud Abbas] to carry out such meetings because he is part of the Interfaith Dialogue Committee.'
Head of the reconciliation committee of the Jaber family in Hebron Ziyad Jaber said: ‘We reject and condemn any contact with the Israelis. We are a fighting family that has defended Hebron, and whose sons were arrested immediately after the occupation of the city, and thus we became one of the first families whose sons were arrested by the occupation.'
Regarding the steps the family intends to take against Muhammad Jaber, he said: 'As soon as everything is completely clear to us, all of the steps that will protect the family's honor will be taken,' and he emphasized: ‘Muhammad Jaber's behavior do not represent the family at all, but rather only him.'"

The article includes pictures of the visit tweeted by Israeli Member of Parliament Rabbi Yehuda Glick.

Rabbi Yehuda Glick is the Chairman of the Temple Mount Heritage Foundation that works to increase awareness of the central place the Temple Mount and the Temple hold in Jewish heritage through educational activities and by encouraging people to visit the Temple Mount. In addition, he is the coordinator of the LIBA initiative - The Jewish Freedom on the Temple Mount initiative whose goal is to obtain freedom and civil rights for Jews on the Temple Mount. On Oct. 29, 2014, Mutaz Hijazi, an Islamic Jihad member and released prisoner, attempted to assassinate Glick, who was seriously wounded in the attack.

The PA and its leaders consider all of the Temple Mount an integral part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Therefore they view any presence of Jews on the mount as an “invasion.” It should be noted that Jews who visit the Temple Mount only enter some sections of the open areas, and do not enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque or the Dome of the Rock.
