Say “Zionist enemy,” not “the other side”, “freedom prisoners,” not “detainees” - a Palestinian university lecturer’s recommendations for appropriate terms to use
Official PA TV program Palestine This Morning, interview with lecturer of philosophy and cultural studies at Birzeit University Dr. Abd Al-Rahim Al-Sheikh, on compulsory courses on Palestinian identity and the prisoners’ issue.

Lecturer of philosophy and cultural studies at Birzeit University Dr. Abd Al-Rahim Al-Sheikh: "Regarding the media terminology, I would like to raise criticism, criticism out of love, of several expressions that are being used unknowingly, and that are repeated by the students and the masses such as ‘crossing’ instead of ‘barricade,’ ‘Interior’ or ‘the other side’ instead of ‘the Zionist enemy,’ or ‘detainees’ instead of ‘freedom prisoners,’ and the like."
