PA PM meets with released murderers, promises to provide for “dignified lives”

     “[PA] Prime Minister Dr. Rami Hamdallah met in the Prime Minister’s residence with prisoners from the Ramallah area, who were released in the second phase [of prisoner releases in 2013]. The meeting was attended by Minister of Prisoners’ [Affairs] Issa Karake and released prisoners Rafe’ Karajeh, Muhammad Nasr, Asrar Samrin, Ismat Mansour and Musa Qar’an… [Hamdallah] explained that the government would devote everything it could in order to provide dignified lives for the released [prisoners], despite the great financial difficulties and political challenges facing the Palestinian people, and he sent greetings to all male and female prisoners in the occupation prisons.”

Note: Rafe’ Karajeh and Muhammad Nasr murdered reserve soldier Aharon Avidar in a Ramallah market in February 1985. They were each serving life sentences, but were released in October 2013 among 104 prisoners whom Israel agreed to release to fulfill the PA's precondition for renewing negotiations.
