Erekat praises China for upholding international law, unlike the USA

Headline: “Erekat: A transgression of international law by world powers is the greatest danger to world security and stability” 

“PLO Executive Committee Secretary Saeb Erekat emphasized that a transgression of international law by world powers – such as American President Donald Trump’s administration is doing – is the most significant danger to security and stability in the world. 

During a meeting with the Ambassador of China to the State of Palestine Guo Wei, Erekat said that the attempts to legalize the “settlement enterprise” and the annexation [of Judaea and Samaria] that the Trump administration is making for the [Israeli] occupation government, in addition to determining occupation facts on the ground and adopting Israel’s positions in full, have destroyed any chance for establishing a sustainable, comprehensive, and just peace that rests on international law… 

Erekat expressed his appreciation for the principled positions of the People’s Republic of China, which rest on international law and international institutions, and which consistently espouse the need to end the occupation and implement the principle of two states on the June 4, 1967  borders.”
