Fatah cartoon shows Israeli soldier expelling Palestinians at gunpoint in 1948‎

Cartoon posted on the official Fatah Facebook page

Text at bottom of cartoon in English: “Palestine in 1948.. land and people”

The cartoon shows a soldier in uniform with a Star of David on his hand and blood on his boots pointing an assault rifle at an elderly Palestinian woman on her knees and a child with a key symbolizing the Palestinian refugees’ “right of return” around his wrist, who is holding up his other hand to ward off the soldier. The soldier, whose head is not seen, is indicating with his finger that they must leave. In the background are two trees whose trunks and branches are in the shape of people standing with their hands up.

In the bottom right is the PA map of “Palestine” that presents all of Israel as “Palestine” together with the PA areas; the map is drawn in the shape of a Palestinian flag on a pole, with the stripes of the flag on the map. Under the map is written “Palestine” in English.
