PA officials marking “Palestinian Martyrs’ Day” with hateful messages against Israel

In a speech he gave on behalf of the president, Fatah Movement Deputy Chairman Mahmoud Al-Aloul said: ‘We raise the memory of the Martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of our people and our homeland, in order to immortalize their stories, their heroism, and their lofty virtues on everything concerning freedom and independence, which caused them to be at the front and to ascend to Heaven as Martyrs.’
He said: ‘We are a people that is fighting for freedom and for the future of our children and the coming generations, but we are standing against a fascist enemy that loves to murder and spill blood. It murders children, women, elderly, and young people in cold blood, attacks the land, builds settlements, defiles the Al-Aqsa Mosque, shoots civilians in unarmed popular processions, …holds onto bodies, and commits crimes without international law or anything else deterring it.’ …
He emphasized: ‘We are in an unusual situation, and specifically with this new [Israeli] government, but this does not mean that its predecessors were preferable to it, as a large portion of our children ascended to Heaven recently at the hands of the previous government. However, the current government has the ugliest face, and it constitutes a danger to us and to our people, Jerusalem, the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and our prisoners in the occupation’s prisons. This government also will constantly lead crimes against our people, and we must direct our rage against this occupier.’ …
Chairman of the Follow-Up Committee of the Arab Public in the 1948 Territories (i.e., the High Follow-Up Committee for Arab Citizens of Israel, an extra-parliamentary umbrella organization that represents Arab citizens of Israel) [and former Israeli Parliament Member] Muhammad Barakeh said: ‘The murderous occupation must understand that behind the Martyrs whose bodies are being held in its [morgue] refrigerators stands a people. We are sounding the shout of their family members when they are unable to shout alone, and therefore we say that this matter is a just matter, and that they sacrificed all that they have for our people’s freedom and its independence.’
He added that holding onto the bodies of the Martyrs is one of the ugliest acts that the occupation is committing, as there have been many horrors and crimes in history, but we have only seen a crime like this among the occupation, which is holding onto the bodies of our Martyrs.”
Mahmoud Al-Aloul also serves as Fatah Central Committee member.
