Al-Aqsa lecture about Jihad and Islam’s goal of world conquest

Preacher Sheikh Abu Omran Al-Barq: “The infidels, particularly now, are fighting a difficult war against the concept of Jihad, and are attempting to distort this concept, the concept of Jihad for Allah – Jihad which is fighting for Allah, fighting the infidels, so that the word of Allah will be supreme, and the word of the infidels will be at the bottom. The infidels understood that the Muslims, through Jihad, are working to guide mankind and implement the truth so that people [will be] ‘entering into the religion of Allah in multitudes’ (Quran, Sura 110:2, Sahih International translation). This means that their role in life will disappear, the role of the oppressors and attackers will disappear, and of those who have turned the lives of the people into the lives of animals…
And this is how the curricula have become – according to the will of the infidels – the curricula today, many of them have begun to distort the understanding of Jihad. The beginning of the distortion was the attempt [to say] that Jihad is only a defensive war. In other words, if there is an attack on the Muslims, they defend themselves, and this is a legitimate right. In addition, the infidels forced their helpers from among the agent rulers of the Muslims, their helpers, to omit the verses of Jihad and the Hadiths (i.e., sayings and practices attributed to Islam's Prophet Muhammad) that deal with the Muslims fighting the infidels – and this also was realized. And all of this because they know that if the truth is realized – the lie will be lost. The truth is Islam, and the lie is their heresy.
Almighty Allah says: ‘And fight them until there is no fitnah (i.e., strife) and [until] the religion, all of it, is for Allah’ (Quran, Sura 8:39, Sahih International translation)… [Regarding] the ‘strife’ that Allah commands that we fight against until it is no more… [Quran commentator] Ibn Jarir Al-Tabari, may Allah have mercy on him, said: Fight them so that there will be no inclusion [of other gods], and none will be worshipped other than Allah who has no partner… and the religion will all be for Allah, and so that the obedience and worship will only be for Allah.
And [Quran commentator] Ibn Kathir said: Allah commands fighting the infidels so that there will be no ‘strife’ – in other words, inclusion [of other gods]; and the religion will be for Allah – in other words, that the religion of Allah will be above all of the rest of the religions. It seems that the Muslims today have lost the meaning of the interpretation of this verse. The knowledge that they are required to act so that Islam will be above all the religions has been lost to them.
And at the same time, we find that the infidels have understood this meaning. They have understood that Islam, if it is properly implemented, and if [the Muslims] act according to the pinnacle of Islam, which is Jihad – then this will mean that Islam will be above the rest of the religions. Not only the heavenly religions, but also the positivist religions (i.e., human knowledge based on experience as postulated by the philosophy of “positivism”), such as secularism, capitalism, and socialism…
When they understood this, they began to fight Islam. And then they wiped out the Islamic Caliphate state, and thus the Jihad that bears Islam to the world ended. Since the Caliphate was destroyed approximately 100 years ago, no Jihad meant to lead the call of Islam has remained. No fighting has remained, [nor] armies of Muslims that will go out to fight the infidels and tell them: We call on you to join Islam. If you accept, we will receive [you] and leave you alone…
If you refuse Islam – then we call on you to pay a poll tax (jizya) – and this means that they submit to the rule of Islam while remaining in their religion, and pay an annual amount in exchange for the Muslims defending them…
And if not, then we will be aided by Allah against you and we will fight you.
What is the fighting for? Fighting the infidels is in order to break the material obstacles that divide the people from that to which intelligence and nature guide them (i.e., Islam). Because these same rulers that lead the people are the ones who prevent them from reaching the truth.
Jihad for Allah is not meant to kill people. The Muslims do not enjoy killing people. However, the infidels are the ones who have set for themselves the goal of killing people. In World War I, 20 million people were killed. And in World War II, 50 million (estimates range from 50-80 million –Ed.). Since Allah sent our lord Muhammad, may Allah’s blessing be upon him, and until the Caliphate was destroyed – for 1,400 years the Muslims did not kill from among the infidels one hundredth of this number. Why? Because Islam comes in order to guide mankind on the path of the upright.”
