PLO official: Israeli 'pay-for-slay' law is "theft", part of policy to "criminalizing all forms of resistance [and] accusing our people of terror"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Feb. 19, 2019
"PLO Executive Committee member [and head of the PLO Department of Diplomacy and Public Policy] Dr. Hanan Ashrawi said that 'This organized and deliberate theft of the Palestinian people's money and resources (referring to implementation of an Israeli law to deduct terror salaries from PA tax money; see note below –Ed.) reflects the occupation state’s path, which is based on criminalizing all forms of resistance, accusing our people of terror, demonizing it, imposing collective punishments on it, and financially and politically blackmailing it. These steps contradict international humanitarian law and the agreements that were signed, and they are additional proof of Israel's exaggeration in punishing anyone that rejects its occupation and resists its steps.'"

PLO official responding to Australian recognition of West Jerusalem as Israel’s capital: “No part of [Jerusalem] can be recognized as Israel’s capital"
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Dec. 15, 2018
Official PA TV, on Australia’s decision to recognize “West Jerusalem” as Israel’s capital, telephone interview with PLO Executive Committee member and head of the PLO Department of Diplomacy and Public Policy Hanan Ashrawi

PLO Executive Committee member and head of the PLO Department of Diplomacy and Public Policy Hanan Ashrawi: “[Australian Prime Minister Scott] Morrison wanted to say that there’s a compromise. This compromise is completely unacceptable. We do not want the acceptance or recognition of West Jerusalem as he said – and as Russia did [on April 6, 2017] – [as] Israel’s capital, because all of Jerusalem is subject to the illegal Israeli annexation, and no part of it can be recognized as Israel’s capital… We ask Morrison to take it back. Actually, there was a sharp response to this maneuver through which he attempted to appease his extremist right-wing voters, and particularly the Zionist Christian voters and the Israeli lobby in Australia.”

PA, PLO and Fatah condemn “execution” of 3 terrorists; deaths of terrorists while resisting arrests are “war crimes” committed in “cold blood”; Fatah calls for confrontations and eulogizes “heroic Martyrs”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Dec. 14, 2018
“The [PA] government and the factions held the occupation government responsible for the crimes of the execution of the three Martyrs (Shahids) Ashraf Na’alwa (i.e., terrorist, murdered 2), Saleh Barghouti (i.e., terrorist, murdered baby and wounded 7 others), and Majdi Jamal Mteir (i.e., terrorist, wounded 2)...
PLO Executive Committee member [and head of the PLO Department of Diplomacy and Public Policy] Dr. Hanan Ashrawi condemned the series of war crimes that Israel is committing against the members of our unarmed people, the last of which was the killing and execution of three citizens in cold blood in the West Bank and Jerusalem, while openly and intentionally violating all of the international and humanitarian conventions and laws…
In Ramallah and El-Bireh, the Fatah Shabiba [Youth] Movement in the district called on its members and supporters to stand against the occupation forces in all of the areas of friction and to unite around the members of our people against the Israeli occupation’s aggression and the settler gangs’ crimes in the district. In a statement yesterday, Thursday [Dec. 13, 2018], Shabiba eulogized our people’s heroic Martyrs Saleh Barghouti, Ashraf Na’alwa, and Majdi Mteir, who ascended to Heaven after being executed by the occupation’s soldiers.”
