Ramallah Mayor [Musa Hadid] said in his speech at the Martyrs Monument inaugural event: ‘Here in Ramallah – at the place where the pure body of the father of Palestinian nationalism, leader Martyr [former PLO and PA Chairman] Yasser Arafat, is located, in the presence of the dignitaries who are absent-present (i.e., the “Martyrs,” who are considered present in spirit), and in the presence of the souls of the self-sacrificing fighters (Fedayeen) – our spirit rises out of love and honor for these ones… who carried in their hearts the idea of revolution against the injustice and the occupation, and spread the idea of love for the soil and the land. This is our message, on the path of the first founders over the length and width of the land, from the [Mediterranean] Sea to the [Jordan] River.”

Fatah lauds murderer of 6 as “heroic female Martyr," whose “desire to take revenge against the Jews” was stronger than her desire to blow out her birthday candles

Text and image posted on the Facebook page of the Fatah Movement – Bethlehem Branch

The image shows female suicide bomber Andalib Takatka, who murdered 6. A keffiyeh (Arab headdress) pattern appears around her, and below her is the Dome of the Rock.

Posted text: "Sixteen years ago, on April 12, 2002, heroic self-sacrificing fighter (Fida’iya) Andalib Takatka carried out a self-sacrificing operation (i.e., suicide bombing, 6 murdered) in occupied Jerusalem that led to the death of 6 Zionists and the wounding of another 85… On the morning of the day of the operation, Andalib said to her mother before leaving that she should prepare herself for happy news in the evening that would surprise her, and the mother thought that her fiancé would come to visit her. However, Andalib carried out the April 12, 2002 self-sacrificing operation, and did not wait until Sunday, April 14, in order to celebrate her 20th birthday. This was because she preferred to celebrate it in a different place and a different manner, and she hurried to extinguish the flame of her desire to take revenge against the Jews instead of extinguishing her 20th candle in her father's house… We all bow in admiration and appreciation before the soul of heroic Martyrdom (Shahada) seeker Andalib Takatka, who succeeded in standing before the occupation and taking revenge for the innocent childhood that the occupation murders day after day in occupied Palestine."

“Fatah Movement Central Committee member and Fatah Commissioner of Mobilization and Organization in the Gaza Strip Ahmed Helles said that Fatah is continuing its path of struggle until the establishment of our independent state whose capital is Jerusalem.
At a rally to mark the Martyrs (Shahids) of the Khuza’a massacre in Khan Yunis, Helles added that our blood is a small price to pay for our homeland and our honor. This is particularly so because our commanders are in the field before our soldiers in order to sacrifice of themselves, and today is the day of loyalty to the Martyrs and the blood, as our blood that has been spilled for the land and homeland raises the souls of our people and our nation. He also emphasized that the path of Martyrdom (Shahada) will remain open until the liberation of the homeland, that Fatah is continuing on the path of Martyrdom, and that the most beautiful thing among us is our Martyrs. Fatah will continue to go on this path until the liberation of our national land and the establishment of our independent state whose capital is Jerusalem.”
