PLO official: Israel’s deducting from PA taxes amount equaling salaries to terrorists is “robbery”

Headline: “Rafat: The law deducting the allowances of the families of the prisoners and Martyrs is unacceptable”

“PLO Executive Committee member Saleh Rafat emphasized that the fact that the Israeli Parliament yesterday [June 14, 2017] approved in a first reading a law for deducting the allowances (mukhassasat ) of the families of the prisoners and Martyrs (Shahids) [from the taxes Israel collects for the PA] is completely unacceptable as far as the Palestinians are concerned, and constitutes robbery and theft of Palestinian money.
He emphasized that the Martyrs and prisoners are victims of the occupation, and called on the countries that provide aid to Israel to discontinue it. In an interview with [the official PA radio] station The Voice of Palestine this morning Rafat said: ‘If Israel insists on the decision to deduct this money, the [Palestinian] leadership will turn to the International Criminal Court in order to put it on trial for this.’”
