PA leader: Palestinian nation must “carry out Ribat in defense of Palestine”
Official PA TV program Personal Encounter hosted senior PA leader Nabil Shaath:
Senior PA leader Nabil Shaath: “First of all, the Palestinian nation is taking responsibility. First, it is taking responsibility for Palestinian land in general and Jerusalem in particular, and it is still – today was a bloody day in Jerusalem, but our nation redeems Al-Aqsa and the Islamic and Christian holy places in Jerusalem with its blood… In the end, it is the destiny of the Palestinian nation to carry out Ribat (religious conflict/war over land claimed to be Islamic) in defense of Palestine – [the Palestinian nation] that stands firm so that Palestine will not be lost; and we will fight so that the Palestinian cause does not become obsolete. Our role is to stand firm, wage Ribat, resist, support and build.”
