Governor of Ramallah: Terrorist "Martyrs" have "perfumed the land of the homeland with the purest blood"

     “Ramallah and El-Bireh District Governor Laila Ghannam emphasized that our Martyrs (Shahids) and prisoners are the conscience of the Palestinian people and its symbols, who have paid a heavy price on the path to obtaining our freedom and realizing the aspirations of our people. She added that in their presence there is no sound that overpowers the sound of their struggle, the patience of their families, and their honor- inspiring path, which has perfumed the land of the homeland with the purest blood.

Ghannam conveyed the blessings of His Honor president Mahmoud Abbas to all the residents of Silwad. She emphasized that His Honor shows unprecedented interest in the particulars of his people’s life, and makes the prisoners’ issue his [top] priority.

Ghannam said this yesterday [May 3, 2016] during a visit to the family of released prisoner Thaer Hammad (sic., Thaer Hammad is still in prison. It was his father who was released.) She emphasized that Thaer is a role model for every young Palestinian with the love of Palestine flowing through his blood, and she expressed a hope to visit the family again, after Thaer is released from the depths of prison.

Ghannam visited the two daughters of Martyr Mahdiyya Hammad, who was killed in cold blood by the occupation forces…

She inquired about their situation in school, and emphasized that their excelling constitutes a message of determination and defiance of this world, which keeps silent. Likewise, she honored the Martyr’s family and husband during her visit to their home.

Ghannam honored a number of Martyrs and prisoners’ families while visiting their homes. The visit included the homes of the Martyrs Abed Hammad and Anas Hammad.”

Abed Hamed – 22-year-old Palestinian terrorist who tried to ram his car into Israeli soldiers in Silwad, near Ramallah, on Feb. 19, 2016. He was shot and killed by the soldiers.

Anas Bassem Hammad – 20-year-old Palestinian terrorist who rammed his car into 2 Israeli soldiers, injuring them, near Ofrah, near Ramallah, on Dec. 4, 2015. Hammad was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers.
