WAFA, official PA news agency - Oct. 27, 2014

“Ramallah and El-Bireh District Governor Laila Ghannam… expressed condolences over the death as a Martyr (Shahid) of Abd Al-Rahman Al-Shaloudi in the village of Silwan (i.e., neighborhood in Jerusalem). She emphasized that the blow to our people in general and to the residents of Jerusalem in particular is meant to shake the will to survive and defy [the occupation] that characterizes our people.
She demanded of the world that it put an end to the occupation's wild attack against Jerusalem, its holy sites, homes, and residents. She emphasized that our people will not submit to the occupation, to its brutality, and to its war machine, and that it will continue in the struggle until a declaration of the establishment of its fully sovereign independent state, of which Jerusalem is its eternal capital.”

Abd Al-Rahman Al-Shaloudi - On Oct. 22, 2014, Al-Shaloudi from East Jerusalem deliberately ran over people waiting at a light-rail station in Jerusalem with his car, killing three-month-old Israeli-American Haya Zissel-Brown and Karen Mosquera, 22, of Ecuador, and injuring 7 others. He was shot by police while attempting to flee, and later died of his wounds.
