PA daily op-ed: Israel “was established on a colonialist foundation and a fake mythical narrative… even before its establishment by the criminal Balfour Promise (i.e., Declaration)”

Op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, regular columnist for the official PA daily

"The Israeli state - and I am not talking only about the existing political system - is a state that was established on a colonialist foundation and a fake mythical narrative, was aided by the Jewish immigration from a variety of nations, and was faked even before its establishment by the criminal Balfour Promise (i.e., Declaration) and incomparable capitalist Western support that continues to this day. If not for this, and if not for the political, diplomatic, military, financial/economic, and cultural aid, and the ongoing immigration, it would not have been established and would not continue to exist until now. This prelude is known to all members of the Palestinian people and to a large part of the Arab peoples and even the peoples of the world. Therefore, it does not constitute a new addition to the reader, but this creation and its racist elements can only lead to colonialist racist consequences, no matter how much the West will try to educate or to embellish the image of the distorted state. This is because the distorted birth of a strange creature will in the end lead to distorted data, whatever the clothing or cosmetics that a person, institution, state, or any other body may place on the face of this creature."

The Balfour Declaration of Nov. 2, 1917 was a letter from British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour to Baron Rothschild stating that “His Majesty's government views with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people” and is seen as the basis for later international commitments to establish the State of Israel.
