Abbas advisor salutes Ribat fighters who use “blood, arrests, attacks, and beating” to “protect” Al-Aqsa Mosque

Official PA TV News hosted Advisor to PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas on Jerusalem Affairs Ahmed Al-Ruweidi
Advisor to PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas on Jerusalem Affairs Ahmed Al-Ruweidi: “The most dangerous thing is the building of a synagogue… The [Israeli] goal is to build a synagogue on the eastern part of the Al-Aqsa plaza, which overlooks the Golden Gate (in Jerusalem’s old city walls –Ed.). Visits are being made to this area, especially by groups of settlers and members of the Israeli government, as we saw today [July 26, 2015]. Therefore, I am proud of the male Ribat fighters (Murabitin - those carrying out Ribat, religious conflict/war to protect land claimed to be Islamic -Ed), and the female Ribat fighters, our sisters, who using blood, arrests, attacks, and beating, succeeded in expelling them [the occupation forces] with their bodies, their firm stand and their Ribat. Truly, all my respect and appreciation to them. Permit me to say, they are not only protecting the Al-Aqsa Mosque, they protect the honor of the Islamic nation, because this is Jerusalem we’re talking about.”
