“The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) expressed its refusal to condemn the Tel Aviv operation (i.e., terror attack that killed 3) in an announcement published by the head of the High Follow-Up Committee for Arab Citizens of the Palestinian Occupied Interior (i.e., Israel). The [Popular] Front emphasized in the announcement, a copy of which reached Ma’an [news agency], that it could have been possible to avoid this announcement, to deal with the pressures [exerted by] the occupation, and to emphasize that the Palestinian people has the right to resist the occupation using all means. Moreover, the Front emphasized that describing the Tel Aviv operation as ‘ criminal’ in the announcement is a dangerous precedent that can lead to the condemnation of every act of Palestinian resistance.”
Nashat Melhem - 29-year-old Israeli Arab terrorist who carried out a shooting attack, killing 2 Israelis, Alon Bakal and Shimon Ruimi, and wounding 8 others, at a Tel Aviv bar on Jan. 1, 2016. Melhem, who was identified after his father called the police, fled the scene and has not been captured as of Jan. 5, 2016. He is also suspected of shooting and killing a taxi driver, Bedouin Israeli Amin Shaaban, in another part of Tel Aviv on the same day.
