Israel was “unnaturally” established by colonialism, “as an idea to get rid of the European Jewish problem”

Op-ed by Muwaffaq Matar, columnist for official PA daily
“The occupation state, ‘Israel,’ which was established outside the natural historical framework of the formation of countries in this civilized part of the world, and came into the world following illegal competitive relations between the worldwide promoters of colonialism, and as an idea to get rid of the European Jewish problem, after all the attention the world has lavished on it [Israel], whether willingly or unwillingly, today pulls out the sword of enmity and rebellion against international law. The same law that has guaranteed it since its establishment was announced in the partition resolution in 1947 (the UN partition plan of 1947, which called for the creation of a Jewish state and an Arab state in the former British Mandate for Palestine, and which was rejected by the Palestinians –Ed.) , and it was given the birth certificate of a state, under certain conditions, which is located within the natural and historical borders of Palestine, in other words, what we call the fourth of June borders. This was after it went beyond the interpretations of the partition resolution and forcefully took over parts of the territories that the partition resolution called ‘the Arab state’ at the time! It is possible that the rebellion and non-compliance is a natural matter among most of those who were born outside the legal framework of regulations, values, and laws, and Israel has left compliance with international laws regarding human rights outside of its conduct regarding the Palestinian people, which has the natural and historical right to Palestine, all of Palestine.”
