“They praised Martyr (Shahid) Abu Jihad’s (Khalil Al-Wazir) positions advocating struggle, which brought about the outbreak of the Palestinian revolution and his death as a Martyr, sacrificing himself for his homeland and nation. They promised all the Martyrs that they would remain loyal to the commitment until the defeat of the occupation, the release of the prisoners and the establishment of the independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital… [Fatah Central Committee member Mahmoud] Al-Aloul recalled Martyr Khalil Al-Wazir’s path of struggle and his concern for his people and for the prisoners in the occupation’s prisons. He [Al-Aloul] vowed to him and all the Martyrs that we will remain faithful to the commitment.”
