Abbas’ deputy: We must “intensify resistance activity,” claims Israel carries out “daily executions”

Headline: “Al-Aloul: The two-state solution is the minimum for Palestinian[s], and the popular resistance will continue”

“Fatah Movement Deputy Chairman Mahmoud Al-Aloul emphasized that the peaceful popular resistance will continue, and emphasized that the two-state solution is the minimum to which the Palestinians can agree.
Al-Aloul said in a press interview today, Tuesday [Feb. 21, 2017], that ‘The peaceful popular resistance against Israel is an important and basic matter, and it is our option at this stage,’ and noted that sometimes it strengthens and sometimes it weakens.
Al-Aloul said: ‘As long as the Israeli aggression, the pressure, and the occupation’s crimes against the Palestinian people intensify, we must intensify the resistance activity against them.’ He noted that ‘The Israeli crimes are increasing, whether with the construction in the settlements, the land expropriation, the daily executions at the checkpoints, or the harming of the holy sites.’”

The terms "all means," "peaceful popular resistance,” and “popular uprising" are ‎often used by PA leaders to refer to events that include violence and deadly terror ‎against Israeli civilians such as rock-throwing, stabbings and even shootings. See ‎Mahmoud Abbas' reference to murderous terror as "peaceful" during the 2015-2016 ‎terror wave (“The Knife Intifada”), which included numerous stabbings, shootings and car ramming attacks in which 40 people were killed (36 Israelis, 1 Palestinian, 2 Americans and 1 Eritrean) and hundreds wounded: http://palwatch.org/main.aspx?fi=157&doc_id=16437
