Fatah official: The PA should become an “authority of resistance”

It should not continue to be an authority of services, but rather it should become an authority of resistance, and we are not talking about armed resistance here, but rather popular resistance (This term has been used by PA and Fatah leaders to describe the wave of Palestinian terror attacks 2015-2016 which included stabbings, shootings, and car rammings –Ed.) that is anchored in international law. We do not want to break up the PA or to continue in the existing situation, and the PA is sinking daily and has become an upside-down pyramid that is deteriorating every day. We do not want to go back to square one.”
The terms "all means," "peaceful uprising,” and “popular resistance" are often used by PA leaders to refer to events that include violence and deadly terror against Israeli civilians such as rock-throwing, stabbings and even shootings.
