The Israeli occupation army prevented members of the first Wandering Youth Camp, under the title 'Know Your Homeland,' from entering the Ibrahimi Mosque on Thursday [March 16, 2017] as part of a tour that was set by the Hebron district. This was on the pretext that the participants wore the camp’s shirt, on which is the map of Palestine (i.e., the PA map of “Palestine” that presents all of Israel as “Palestine” together with the PA areas) alongside the slogan ‘Know Your Homeland.’
The occupation army was not satisfied with this arbitrary step, but also intentionally delayed the participants for an hour, which encouraged the participants to refuse to obey this unfair decision. They also firmly opposed taking off the camp shirt, because it bears symbols that instill adherence to the land and identity in the minds of the youth and the participants themselves.”
